I chose my pet’s name because: My husband and son are huge sports fans, so all our animals are named for sports figures. When we got our puppy in the fall of 1999, the local high school quarterback was Drew Brees (now the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts). “Breeze” is an adaptation of his name. If I could change one thing about my pet, it would be: She’s the best dog I’ve ever had and has an affectionate, enthusiastic personality so I don’t think I would change anything. My pet’s worst habit is: Being too rambunctiously friendly when we have dinner guests, especially if they don’t like dogs as much as we do! Behind my back people refer to me and my pet as: How would I know if it’s behind my back? My husband says I talk to everyone like I talk to my dog….of course, I love my dog. I wish my pet could: Live as long as I do. Nobody knows my pet is: Afraid to walk through half-open doors. My pet’s best asset is: Her devoted, enthusiastic personality. I chose my pet’s names because: Because Blubber is an American Eskimo and dogs eat whale blubber in Alaska, I thought “Blubber” would be an appropriate name. If I could change one thing about my pet, it would be: I would bring back his sharp hearing and superb eyesight. My pet’s worst habit is: He eats paper and/or towels, washcloths, etc. and he drags this stuff under my dining room table causing me to have to get down under there and try to clean it up. Behind my back people refer to me and my pet as: I have no idea. I wish my pet could: Talk. Nobody knows my pet is: My best friend---he keeps all my secrets! My pet’s best asset is: He has a beautiful and intelligent smile; he was a great watchdog when he was younger—I always knew when a storm was coming before I ever heard thunder and if someone drove into my driveway before they even got to the doorbell, he would be at the door barking to welcome them. If I could change one thing about my pet, it would be: Sure wish I could ride him myself — I bought him for my wife, Peggy. My pet’s worst habit is: Doesn’t come to you unless you have treats — gourmet horse cookies! I wish my pet could: Play golf. Just think how far she could kick a golf ball. Nobody knows my pet is: A golfer at heart. My pet’s best asset is: He’s kind. When I first saw him, I told Peggy that Peppy has kind eyes. If I had to choose a different pet, it would be: Probably a collie dog. My pet’s favorite treat would be: Gourmet horse treats- We call them “cookies” – and Peppy sure does know that word. My favorite time of the day to spend with my pet is? Whenever Peggy ride’s Peppy, she brings him to me when I’m in the shop so I can say hello.
