Assemble in God’s Name Prelude
Congregational Introit * Christ is Made the Sure Foundation Prayer of Adoration*
Give Praise to God Hymn of Praise** Holy, Holy, Holy #11
Lighting of the Candles Placing of the Bible Prayer of Confession Have mercy on us, O Lord, according to Your steadfast love, look kindly on us. You created us in Your image and Your desire is that we should reflect Your likeness. In fact, we cannot find authentic peace and purpose until we fully embrace Your design. This is where we are a mystery even to ourselves. We have not lived as we ought to live. We have not loved as we have been loved. We know the way we are to go, but we willfully rebel and choose another way. You have every reason to abandon us, but instead You delight in us and You eagerly offer us forgiveness and healing. And so, Lord, have mercy on us and forgive our rebellion. Restore us to the fullness of life, for we ask it in Jesus’ Name, even as we continue our confession in silence… Assurance of God’s Forgiveness Congregational Response* Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing #379 (v. 3) Life of the Congregation **

Invitation to Prayer Give Me Jesus arr. Andy Bayles Pastoral Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Offering Our Gifts Be Thou My Vision John Rutter Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart, Be all else but naught to me, save that thou art; Be Thou my best thought in the day and the night, Both waking and sleeping, Thy presence my light. Be Thou my wisdom, be Thou my true word, Be Thou ever with me, and I with Thee, Lord; Be Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son; Be Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one. Be Thou my breastplate, my sword for the fight; Be Thou my whole armor, be Thou my true might. Be Thou my soul’s shelter, be Thou my strong tower: O raise Thou me heavenward, great Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise: Be Thou mine inheritance now and always; Be Thou and Thou only the first in my heart: O Sovereign of heaven, my treasure Thou art. High King of heaven, Thou heaven’s bright Sun, O grant me its joys after victory is won; Great heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be Thou my vision, O Ruler of all.
