SERMON OUTLINE
LOVE THAT SERVES
John 13:1–17
Big Idea: Love takes up the towel before it takes up the title.
Bottom Line: Love kneels first.
A love that serves is…
• Rooted (in who we are)
• Moves (toward the mess)
• Received (before it’s given)
• Repeated (until it becomes reflex)
Application:
• Receive → Identity (the basin)
• Move → Proximity (the towel)
• Practice → Formation (the reflex)
Most foot-washing moments don’t feel spiritual. They feel inconvenient.
