erhaps the initial shock of the tragedy that took place last month in Tumbler Ridge has subsided, but the grief may never. Especially for the students, teachers, support staff and administrators at Tumbler Ridge Senior Secondary. Many were directly involved in the February 10 shooting that left five students and one education assistant dead and 27 others injured at the school.

Speaking to the Peachland Post, SD23 superintendent of schools Jon Rever said schools are safe for students and staff, but safety is an ongoing concern. He outlined policies and emergency procedures to prevent such tragedies from occurring on SD23 grounds, and how to respond if an incident is unfolding.
