Abra Zink is a local musician and host of the open mic every Friday night at Porto Peach restaurant on Beach Avenue. It’s a welcoming and supportive place to play for musicians of any ability.
Peachland restaurant is offering everyone a chance to hear live music in a relaxed setting. And it offers a chance for musicians of any level of experience and ability to play in front of an audience with a low-stress, supportive vibe. Porto Peach on Beach Avenue has been hosting an open mic event every Fri-
day night since last fall. It’s hosted by Abra Zink, a local musician who says the open mic provides a lift to all who listen and all who play. “We’re really just hoping to see an increase in people working together in music, jamming, writing songs together, challenging each other, but giving each other support, helping each other with growth and confidence,” he said. “What I’ve gotten from it so far is definitely an increase in the local community, seeing people come out to play SEE MUSIC PAGE 7
