A note from your Neighbourhood Manager
Hi!
I’m Kerry-Ann Waldo, your new Neighbourhood Manager for Peabody Hill.
Before coming to work in this neighbourhood, I’ve spent a number of years helping residents across South London.
I’m here to help you with all of your housing needs and questions. The fastest and easiest way to report your repairs needs is by using our My Peabody portal, or by calling our contact centre on 0300 123 3456.
If you’d like to talk about other issues to do with your tenancy, you can make an appointment with me to speak privately. The details are on the right. I may not be able to help immediately, but I will listen, and I will do my best to help you get whatever help or support you may need in your home.
I look forward to seeing you all on my regular visits to Peabody homes in the area.

You told us, we did...

In February, we held a dedicated Repairs Day in response to feedback from residents who told us that repairs can sometimes take too long to complete and that reporting issues isn’t always as straightforward as it should be.
Listening to residents and acting on what we hear is a key part of improving services. Repairs Days are one of the ways we’re working to strengthen communication, remove barriers and make it easier for residents to get the support they need.
The event gave residents the opportunity to speak directly with our teams, raise concerns, report outstanding issues and receive updates on repairs in a face-toface setting.
One resident who attended said: “It was really helpful to speak to someone in person. I got clear answers about my repair and felt listened to. I’d definitely like to see more events like this.” We’d like to thank everyone who attended and shared their feedback, which continues to help us improve the resident experience.
Staying
safe and cool this summer
As temperatures rise, a few simple steps can help keep you and your household comfortable and safe. During the hottest parts of the day, keep windows and curtains closed to block out heat, then open them early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler. If one room in your home stays cooler than the others, make it your goto space during the day.
Remember to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and take it easy when the heat is at its peak. Cool showers, damp flannels and refreshing foods such as fruit and salads can also help you stay comfortable.

Heading out? Wear light, loose-fitting clothing, seek shade where possible and plan journeys carefully, as public transport and cars can become very warm. Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles.
Look out for signs of heat exhaustion, including headaches, excessive sweating, feeling sick or extreme thirst. If symptoms occur, move to a cool place, drink water and seek advice from NHS 111 if needed.
Please don’t forget to check on neighbours, friends or relatives who may need extra support during hot weather.
