A note from your Neighbourhood Managers
Hi!
It’s going to be a busy summer here at Parkside. There is so much going on both here and in Lewisham as whole, and we’re excited to see everything that’s happening.
On 7 July, there’s going to be a Future Careers event at Pristine Eats, offering support to young people entering the workforce. There’s more about this on page 3.
The Big Event is returning to Parkside on Saturday 25 July, and you can read more about what is planned on page 2.
As always, we’re here to help with anything that involves your home or tenancy. Both of us, our caretakers, and your concierge team want to support everyone living here to get the most of what Parkside has to offer. Please contact any of us if we can help.
Enjoy the summer - and stay safe!

Fun, laughter and great music are set to return to Parkside as The Big Event comes back for its third year on Saturday 25 July.
A firm favourite with residents, this year’s event promises plenty to enjoy, including a magician, balloon art, stalls from local businesses, and an array of food, cake and ice cream.
We’re also delighted to welcome back the ever‐popular dog show which is always a highlight of the day!
It’s the perfect chance to get together with neighbours, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a great day out in the community.
We hope to see you there!

Staying safe
As the weather gets nicer, it’s important that we all follow some important safety guidance to keep everyone safe:
Do:
Keep all outdoor areas free of belongings. This includes bikes, toys, pushchairs, and furniture.
Charge your e‐bike or e‐scooter indoors where you can keep an eye on it.
Use the original charger that meets safety standards. Test your smoke alarm regularly.
Don’t:
Leave belongings outside your home. Items left in hallways and entrance areas can be removed without warning as they block emergency exits. Have barbeques on your balcony or outside walkway
Leave your e‐bike or e‐scooter charging overnight or while you’re out.
You can find more fire‐safety guidance on our website.

Security review at Acer Heights
Recently, we carried out a consultation at Acer Heights on the potential use of glass shading as an added layer of security. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond.
Overall, the response was positive, and it’s clear that many of you see value in exploring this option further. That said, we also recognise the concerns raised, particularly around cost and the visual impact on homes and shared spaces. These are important considerations, and we want to ensure any changes strike the right balance.
Our next step is to review the options in more detail. We’ll be looking closely at designs and materials to make sure any solution is not only effective, but also attractive, practical, and cost-effective for residents. We’ll keep you updated as this work progresses.
