PARKSIDE SUMMER 2024
New concierge and amenity space Residents at Parkside will soon be enjoying new reception and concierge facilities as work is almost complete. The new facilities will complement a new amenity space, with will be available for residents to use to relax in, work from, and enjoy. We are expecting that the new space will be handed over to us in the coming weeks and fully operational soon after. We will start taking bookings once we have a confirmed date. The picture on the right shows an artists impression of what the space could look like. This may change during the fit out process, but we’re sure you’ll agree it will be a striking addition to the development.
Fun in the sun
The day wasn’t just about the food though, with residents being treated to a dog show, as well as being about to check out the wares of a number of craft and art stalls from local providers. Children (and a few adults!) were encouraged to have their face painted, while a magician astounded the crowds with tricks and illusions. Pablo Cazar, Assistant Director at Peabody said: “It was a pleasure to join the PRC and other Parkside residents on a lovely sunny day in Lewisham, and great to see everyone having fun together “From a personal point of view, I really enjoyed trying the fabulous food from Pristine Eats, and I’m sure that residents will be flocking there to try it out.”
Residents across all buildings, including our new neighbours from Snowberry House, joined together on Saturday 27 July to welcome the cafe operators Pristine Eats to Parkside on a full-time basis. Hosted by the Parkside Residents Collective (see page 2), the event allowed residents to get together and enjoy tasty Caribbean food from the cafe, which won the contract to provide their service to residents on a full-time basis. Colleagues from Peabody were invited to the event to launch the summer activity programme (see page 3).
