Commercial units moving along! As you know, work began on-site in August. We’ve made great progress, with stud walls and framing done in some units, and the first fire sprinklers, electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning systems installed. We're now holding joinery and fitting workshops with contractors to finalise designs – we’re well on our way! Please be aware that Realm will be working at weekends from 8am to 2.30pm, with louder work happening after 9am. We’re sorry for any inconvenience, this is to ensure the project stays on track. How we manage your repairs is changing We recently wrote to residents to let them know that the way we managed repairs inside their homes was changing. We’ve listened to feedback and have worked with residents to create a better, more reliable local repairs service. Gilmartins will manage most of the repairs in your area, including your out-of-hours service. However, for some larger jobs like lift repairs, electrical work in communal areas, and gas supply issues, we’ll still need to call in specialist contractors. Previously, for some residents, different contractors were responsible for different types of repairs, which sometimes led to delays and confusion. Now the process will be simpler, with one main contractor managing most of the work needed in your home, so you’ll know who’s in charge of the work.
Gilmartins will work closely with your local team to understand the needs of your home and neighbourhood. You will regularly see them at local surgeries and neighbourhood events Having one main contractor for non-specialist repairs will help us be more responsive and adaptable to your needs. This will make the process smoother for you. Reporting repairs stays the same: You can still report repairs online through My Peabody.
