Bin store improvements
We know that residents have raised concerns about the bin storage spaces in the neighbourhood
Our team are looking into ways that the bin store can be improved, and are getting quotes for what this work will involve. We’ll keep you up to date as these plans move forward.
If you have noticed fly-tipping in your area, or see someone dumping rubbish, we ask that you please report this to the council online. The Haringey Council Waste Team can also help you if you have large or bulky items, electrical goods or garden waste to dispose of.

Eleanor Ward, Community Investment Lead for Waltham Forest
We’re pleased to share that Ellie Ward has joined the Waltham Forest team as your new Community Investment Lead.
Ellie has previously worked as the Community Investment Lead for Peabody in Waltham Forest, as well as over in Hackney, so brings a lot of experience as well as new ideas to the area.
As Community Investment Lead for Waltham Forest, Ellie will be supporting residents and local groups with their ideas to bring people together and help make things happen locally.
This might mean working with partners to deliver activities you’ve said you’d like to see and making sure that the services available to you are good quality.
Ellie will be working alongside Doug (Youth and Community Coordinator). Do say hi and have a chat if you see her around!

Come along and enjoy Health: Pitch production, Drive, hosted by Tottenham Talking, Bridge Renewal Trust, and sponsored by Hill & Peabody.
This unique event uses the power of the operatic voice to support mental health, wellbeing and social connection in Tottenham and Haringey. It brings together partners from construction, healthcare, public health and the arts to show how creativity can help people feel safe, well and part of their community. Everyone is welcome. This event is free to attend, but booking is required.
This event is delivered in partnership with Peabody and Hill, as part of the St Ann’s development project, with sponsorship from Emersons, Carey London and the Rock and Alluvium.

Organised by your local Metropolitan Police ward team. This meeting offers an opportunity for local residents, partners, and community representatives to discuss priorities, raise concerns, and highlight any issues affecting our area.

Keeping our shared spaces secure
We’ve had a few reports of people tailgating into buildings (that’s when someone walks in behind a resident without using their own key or being buzzed in) and anti-social behaviour in communal areas.
We’re looking into these reports and working with the Metropolitan Police to arrange a walkabout in the neighbourhood soon.
We kindly remind everyone to remain vigilant and continue upholding security for the safety of all residents. Here’s a few simple actions we can all do to help keep our community secure:
Don’t hold the door open for unknown individuals. Only let in people you knowit’s okay to be kind, but it’s also okay to say no if you’re not sure who someone is.
Encourage all visitors to buzz in via the intercom system.
If someone unexpected buzzes in, please feel confident to ask who they are and verify what they tell you. People posing as delivery personnel or service providers may attempt to gain access.
Everyone should feel safe and secure in and outside of their home. We take issues of anti-social behaviour very seriously and know the impact it can have on you and your family.

On average there is a fire from a lithium battery in an e-bike or e-scooter every two days in London.
Whilst e-bikes and e-scooters offer a great way round the city, if the batteries become damaged or begin to fail they can start incredibly ferocious fires within seconds.
The majority of fires related to e-bikes and escooter have happened in homes. These fires are often caused when charging batteries.
When these batteries are charged in communal areas or escape routes, a fire breaking out can quickly block people’s ability to escape.
Many of these fires are caused by incompatible chargers, modifications to e-bikes, or faulty or counterfeit products which are purchased online. This includes chargers, lithium batteries and conversion kits for e-bikes.
London Fire Brigade’s #ChargeSafe campaign wants to prevent fires in e-bikes and escooters.
