Welcome to the first edition of your new-look local newsletter. It will still bring you relevant community news about Camberwell Green and the local area, but we’ve adopted a fresh look to the newsletter that we hope you’ll enjoy.
A note from your Neighbourhood Manager
Hi!
I’m Vanessa, the Neighbourhood Manager for Camberwell Green.
I’ve been working here since September 2025, having moved from another neighbourhood in South London.
I’m here to help you with all of your housing needs and questions. I really enjoy and value being able to provide support where I can and seeing the difference that support makes to people's lives, in real time, so please get in touch with me if there is anything I can help with.
When I’m not helping local people, you’ll be able to find me enjoying art of all types, listening to music, or getting my head down in a decent book - all recommendations gratefully received if you’ve read anything good recently!

£500 to bring your idea to life
Got an idea that could make your neighbourhood healthier, wealthier or happier?
Peabody is offering Community Impact Micro-Grants of up to £500 to support small projects that benefit local residents.
You can apply if you’re a resident, a community group or a management committee with a project that’s open to Peabody residents and creates positive social impact.
We’re looking for projects that: bring people together support health and wellbeing improve financial confidence, such as workshops or employment support
Past ideas we’ve funded include free exercise classes, community gardens, bike‐repair sessions for young people and local celebrations.
All funded projects will need to complete a short evaluation and share how the grant was used.

We’re lucky here in Camberwell to have shared spaces that everyone can enjoy. To help keep our neighbourhood pleasant for all, we’re asking dog owners to please remember to pick up after their pets.
Most owners do this brilliantly already, but every so often a forgotten “deposit” pops up in our shared areas. It’s unpleasant for anyone who walks, wheels, or steps through it — and it can be a health risk, too.
The solution is simple: Please bag it and bin it.
A small action makes a big difference, and it helps keep our community welcoming for children, neighbours, and fellow dog‐walkers alike. Thank you for doing your part to keep our shared spaces clean and enjoyable.
Join us at our Caretaker’s surgery
Our maintenance teams will be holding a drop-in surgery on Wednesday 3 June.
While our team does the best they can to make sure everything stays clean and well-maintained, you may have spotted something that we have missed
From 10am-2pm residents can visit the Caretaker’s office to discuss any cleaning or maintenance issues relating to communal areas anywhere in the Camberwell Green neighbourhood.
