Hi! My name is Caroline Leitch. I am 10 years old and in Grade 4. I was a Cleaver for 3 years and this is my 1 year as a full member. My steer’s name is Sheldon and he is a Black Angus/Simmental cross. Sheldon is a very sweet boy. I also play hockey becasue it is fun. I love to play with my 4 dogs every day, I look forward to seeing you at Achievement Day!
This is my 6 year in 4-H and my steer PB would be a great way to fill your deep freeze! He’s been a lot of fun to care for and I’m excited to show him off at our show this year. I hope to see you at the Bruce Stampede Grounds for our show and sale!
My name is Alyssa Ezio, a senior Member in my fourth year with the Holden 4-H Beef Club. This year, I will be offering my steer Champ for sale. He has come along way and has been challenging but I am always up for a challenge. I am also proud to present my heifer, Lilly who I successfully showed last season. Liliy has continued to develop and this year she’s raised a healthy bull calf that I may bring back as a future 4-H project. Both are Black Angus Crosses. Outside of 4-H, I’m actively involved volunteering in my community and spend a lot of time caring for my other animals.

Hi! My name is Sadie Leitch. I am 12 years old. This is my 3 year in 4-H and this year my steer’s name is Samuel. He is a Speckle Park/Black Angus cross. He’s a little spicy and a bit of a troublemaker but loves to be brushed. This year I am the club reporter which has been enjoyable. I love playing hockey, this year I played U13AA which was amazing. I love spending time with my dogs, cats and Samuel. I think Samuel will be a delicious addition to someone’s family and hope to see you at Achiecement Day!

You can partner with family or friends to purchase a steer together. You can reach out to a member family who can help connect you with other buyers looking to split a steer. Or we can help you find a partner.

Donations are always appreciated! Please contact the club Treasurer, Jayden Chomik, or one of the parent leaders. All donors and steer purchases will recive a tax recipt
4. 4. 4. What Happens After I Purchase a Steer?
All steers are booked into Tofield Packers. The members you purchase from will ensure the animal is delivered to the abattoir for processing.
Hi my name is Gavin Oslund and this is my 8 year in 4-H. My steers name is Buddy, he is a nice gentle steer he is very calm towards everyone and has alaways had high quality feed. He is looking big this year and is ready to fill your freezer. I would love to thank my buyer from last year, Reward Construction.
My name is Aiden Ezio, an intermediate member in my second year with the Holden 4-H Beef Club. This year I have a steer and his name is Lucky, a Black Angus cross. Lucky has been a rewarding project that’s taught me dedication, responsibility, and hard work every step of the way. Outside of 4-H, I enjoy spending time outdoors and playing sports, especially hockey where I play as goalie.

My name is Austin Ezio, a senior member in my fourth and final year with the Holden 4-H Beef Club. This year, I’m proud to present my steer Diesel, a Black Angus cross with a calm easygoing temperament. Diesel is a pleasure to work with and is always the first to greet me at the gate ready to be fed. Over my years in 4-H, I’ve developed strong skills in animal care, responsibilitys, and dedication. As this is my final year, I truly appreciate your support in helping make it a memorable one.
WHY BUYING 4 BEEF IS A BETTER OPTION
When you purchase a 4-H market steer, you’re not just getting the most delicious, high-quality beef you’ve ever had, you’re also making a meaningful investment in the future of agriculture. 4-H members dedicate approximately 200 days to raising their steers, making the beef project the longest and most involved of all 4-H programs. A markert steer will have an average carcass yield of 62%. Carcass yield means after the hide, legs and head have been removed. Approximately 65% of the yield will be actual meat cuts. The rest is bone and fat that is discarded.
