Welcome to the 11th Annual Family Tradition Bull Sale What an exciting year to be in the cattle business with the HIGHEST CALF PRICES EVER! And it is on that high note that we welcome you to the 11th Annual Family Tradition Bull Sale. Tradition at our house runs deep, but the tradition that runs deepest is the 30 year commitment we have had to producing top-notch bulls for the commercial and purebred breeder alike. This last year has been very exciting for us and our family farm - from outstanding crop yields to record high cattle prices to getting back on the show road, helping out with agriculture advocacy and producing a bull pen that just keeps on getting better every year. We were excited to head back out on the show road displaying our Simmental cattle at Brandon Fall Fair. Our cattle did excellent; EGC Advantage, a sale feature, stood first in class, and the Wallbanger x Much More family of heifers did outstanding, bringing home two banners. We were also very pleased to see some of our genetics move to the Come As You Are Simmental Farm and can’t wait to see how they perform there! We feel very strongly about agriculture advocacy (agvocacy) and thus have participated in a number of initiatives this year to help further the Canadian agriculture industry and connect with our consumer. It was fantastic to work with Canada Beef Incorporated on a marketing campaign as well as with the Manitoba Canola Growers in hosting a “Be Well” event at our farm. We encourage everyone to get involved in agvocacy as it has been a very rewarding experience for us. Now to the bull pen! The consistency and quality throughout our bull pen is what makes us most proud to be offering this set of bulls. We select our genetics very carefully for sound, efficient and functional cattle and we know that every bull in our pen is going to go out and add dollars to your bottom line. We remain committed to our customers and so if there is any way we can be of assistance to you please don’t hesitate to call. The yearlings are a powerful set of calves with lots of hair, hip and consistency from top to bottom, you’re sure to find one that will work in your operation. We spread our calving out to make it easier on ourselves so these bulls were just too young for last year’s sale; they are certainly top-shelf! Right to Semen We reserve the right to draw semen on any bull in the sale for in herd use, at our expense and the buyers convenience. Animal Health High Bluff Stock Farm maintains a total herd health program. All the bulls have been vaccinated with the Pfizer Gold Program. This includes Bovishield Gold 5, One Shot and Ultrabac 7/Somubac. The bulls have been treated twice with Ivermectin. Allstate’s dam was the Reserve Champion female at Agribition 2006 and is affectionately know as “Chubs” on our farm. She has four outstanding daughters working in our herd and one bull working for our neighbor, Duane Zimmer. Chubs’ daughter is the dam of EGC 19A, lot # 4. This red Wallbanger son puts it all together: lots of hair, depth of body and a big wide top. He is the youngest bull offered in our sale. Allstate is in the top 5% of breed for birth weight, top 10% for yearling weight and top 25% for weaning weight.

Wilgenbusch Charolais soon acquired an interest in him. Express’ first calf crop produced the 2012 Reserve Grand Champion female at Brandon and the Junior Calf Champion at Agribition for Wilgenbusch Charolais. Express was lost in 2012 and only a small semen bank is all that remains. We feel he is one of the best breeding red bulls to come along in a long time. Express sires cattle with performance, big quarters and lots of hair.

Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller. DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. INFORMATION SUPPLIED - The information contained in this catalog is believed to be true and accurate.
