to the 227th General Assembly
Greetings from the Stated Clerk Greetings, Fellow Presbyterians, It’s hard to believe it has already been a year since a group of PC(USA) Presbyterians gathered in Salt Lake City for the last General Assembly. It’s now time to look ahead to our next gathering in Milwaukee for the 227th General Assembly. Although the Assembly won’t begin until next summer, work is already underway to ensure that next year’s gathering is a faithful, productive and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
Rev. Jihyun Oh Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and Executive Director of the Interim Unified Agency
In April, I traveled to Milwaukee with other members of the planning team to meet with local presbytery leaders. More recently, I consulted with our GA226 Co-Moderators and other leaders to discern a theme for the 227th General Assembly. The theme will be “Persevering Toward Wholeness,” informed by Revelation 22:2, “and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” You can find more information about the theme in this issue. In the coming months, we’ll use these newsletters to keep you informed and updated about logistics, behind-the-scenes features, stories from former commissioners, insights about Milwaukee and GA culture, history highlights and more. Be sure to check out “On the Road to GA” each month to learn more. I’m grateful to be on this journey of discipleship and toward the next General Assembly together, and I look forward to gathering in June 2026. Grace and peace,
Rev. Jihyun Oh Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and Executive Director of the Interim Unified Agency 1
