As we fall into autumn, many numismatic minds begin turning toward end-of-year collecting goals, visiting the last coin shows on the year’s calendar, and spending warm moments indoors perusing the collection. It’s also a time of reflection, and it brings to mind the many wonderful milestones that PCGS has marked so far in 2026 – and the year still isn’t quite over. Certainly the biggest highlight of 2026 has been our company’s 40th anniversary. It’s a symbolic milestone for us at PCGS, but in the grander scheme it also calls to mind that it was 40 years
ago that the third-party grading revolution, which forever changed the hobby, began with PCGS back in 1986.
