In this quaint town (Voted “America’s Most Interesting Town”) in Highlands County, you can find almost fifty life-size murals, as well as artistic trash containers, painting of birds, and several museums.

A mural book is available with a map showing where all the numbered murals are, along with a description, artist’s name, and possibly a few objects hidden in the mural that you can find or listen to. There’s not much to report event-wise due to Covid-19 restrictions. As of this writing, the tri-county area remains on Phase 1 restrictions that severely limit the number of members we can have at an event. One of our own, Mike Tarter (a past GCR president and recipient of many local and national awards as well putting in countless hours of volunteer service to PCA), recently contracted the virus and was hospitalized in Tennessee. I am happy to report Mike has been discharged and is on the road to recovery, so keep him in your thoughts and prayers. With the above in mind, social distancing and masks are a good idea even when not required, especially in the highly populated areas. The less populated areas of our region hold the most hope for new activities, especially outdoor events. Planning is underway for a mural tour in Lake Placid (Highlands county) in October. Highlands County is in Phase 2, which allows gatherings of up to 50 people. Expect to see staggered groups and no organized drive to the assembly point. No food or drink will be provided by the club, but dining locations will be suggested for appropriately sized groups. We owe a big thanks to Dottie Kidd for organizing this outing, as this will be one of the first GCR events in quite a while. Later in October we will make our trip to the mountains of North Carolina and the town of Little Switzerland. This event is open on Club Registration; thanks to Ed Blair for starting and continuing this fun activity, including fabulous scenery and twisty roads. In the next few weeks, GCR members will be invited to cast their votes for Officer/Director candidates for 2021-2022. Please review the bios published in the September Kassette and on the website
and ask yourself: Who has the Region’s best interests at heart? Who do you see at a wide range of activities and taking leadership roles at events? Which candidates have a proven track record? Members will be sent a unique invitation to vote electronically to the e-mail address of record from Election Runner, our independent election vendor. It should take less than a minute to vote, so I encourage you to participate. I have enjoyed serving for the past few years as your GCR President, however I will not be seeking an additional term. I look forward to assisting the Board in the capacity of Past President, Historian, AutoX chair and other duties as needed. On a final note, another issue has resurfaced which members should be aware of. Some of the members in the northern portion of Gold Coast Region (GCR) have expressed an interest in forming their own region. Currently GCR is the largest (membership wise) region in Zone 12, which includes all of Florida. Geographically GCR entails 8 counties, stretching from Key West to Ft Pierce and west to Sebring with about 3,000 total members. As GCR has continued to grow, the idea to start a new region has popped up before in different areas and at different times and for different reasons. Generally, one of the reasons a portion of an established region wishes to split off and form its own region is a feeling of being under served or isolated in geographic relation to others. The PCA national office has a publication entitled “Forming a New PCA Region.” This is a guide that mandates procedures, lists steps and offers sample forms that need to be followed if a new region is to be formed. One of the initial considerations is as follows: “In forming a new Region, any current members of an existing region, and
other Porsche owners who seek to create a new Region, should ask themselves honestly, and exactly, what is being sought, where, why and for whom”. The publication goes on to say that if the reasons are personality conflicts or retaliation, these are not good justifications, and any region so created will probably not last long. Once these initial considerations are adequately addressed and the decision is made to form a new region seem probable, the bigger question of members, assets and territory will need to be addressed. Here is what has happened so far At the March Board meeting the concept of splitting up the Gold Coast Region was presented for the Board to consider. Shortly thereafter a draft response proposal was crafted. Then the novel corona virus hit and the folks wishing to form a new region asked PCA National to put their application on hold until a face to face workshop could be scheduled. With a real face to face meeting not possible due to Covid-19 restrictions, members proposing the new region hosted a Zoom workshop in late August and shortly thereafter the GCR board had a conference call to discuss options and a plan of action. The outcome was a formation of a committee to carefully and thoroughly consider all relevant history, information, rationales and practical considerations, and come up with options and recommendations. One of the initial considerations was to keep the members informed as to what was going on. As part of the plan to let members know what is happening, there is a letter from the committee providing much more detail, initial thoughts as to pros and cons, and possible next steps. If you are interested in these details please read and comment as suggested in the letter on page 27.

Obsession For The Perfect 914 Story and Photos by Ron Meyers
Prologue Before this story unfolds, there is some background information I must share to put this epic saga into perspective. In 1971, at the age of 17, I was smitten by a fair haired lass from New Jersey. She was from a Brahmin Boston family while I was a city kid from Pittsburgh. Since I would be commuting back and forth to New Jersey if this was going to work out, I needed to buy some wheels. With visions of long drives and long nights dancing in my head, I spotted a VW Camper at Ted McWilliams VW/Porsche/Audi in Monroeville, PA. I phoned Leslie and told her of the great find and asked her for her opinion fully expecting to hear, “Great! Buy it!!” What I heard instead was, “Did you look at any of their Porsches?” Well, yes, I had looked at the Porsches. There was a used red 911T for $5500 on the showroom floor. I remember opening and closing the door over and over to hear the metallic click it made opening and the richly soft thump it made when closing. No Buick here I thought. I had just been formally introduced to my first Porsche and was transfixed on the wonderful sound it made without even turning the ignition key. Alas, at $5500, that was more than twice the amount of money I had saved from five years of trying to reach people’s

front door with the Pittsburgh Press. Paul Encezio, a plaid-jacketed salesman, noticed my strange behavior around the Porsche and worked his way over to me to assess my sincerity. “She’s a beauty, isn’t she?” Paul opened. “Just one owner, traded it in on a new one last week.” I could feel my pulse quickening as I was falling in love for the second time in a few months but knew this would be a forbidden love due to my financial circumstances. “Sure is” I muttered, knowing I was way in over my head by now. After some artful open and closed probes, Paul too realized that I was in over my head. He also knew that if I bought the VW Camper next door that I had admitted to be interested in, he would lose a commission. Paul put his skill into second gear and steered me to the back lot where there sat a 1970 914 in pale yellow. I had seen a few 914s before but never up close and personal. A little boxy, but the roof came off, the headlights popped up, sitting in it felt like sitting in a go cart and it was getting cuter the more I looked at it. Paul had done his job. He now had me balancing on one foot and secondguessing myself. “It was owned by a girl and only has 24,000 miles on it. She’s in great shape

and I think I can get it for you for only $2495.” Paul had just up-shifted into third and I was right there with him. After a bit more discussion I told him I was still interested in the Camper but thanks anyway. On the way home I was excited to tell Leslie about my VW find and planned to phone her as soon as I got home. Well, you already know what Leslie said when she heard that Ted McWilliams also sold Porsches. So to my surprise, the following Saturday I found myself driving home in my new 914. Chapter 1: My Real First Love? My 914 was a blast. I quickly became known as the kid with the yellow Porsche at Allderdice High School. I didn’t know how much of an impact this car had made at high school until years later when I would cross paths with classmates who would inevitably mention, “You were the guy with the yellow Porsche.” My best friend Brian loved my 914 so much that he also decided to buy one. So, one Saturday we flew to upstate New York and purchased a chocolate brown 914 with the Appearance Group(which I coveted since my car was the standard model) and drove back to Pittsburgh.Our Saturdays were spent racing through Schenley Park or parking the cars in Brian’s driveway so we could wash and wax them. It was during these weekend washings that a cute girl named Susie, who lived down the street, would just happen to walk by wearing dangerously short shorts. Susie was friendly and would hang out with us while we washed and applied coat after coat of Rain Dance. Little did I know that Susie had more than Porsches on her mind; but more on that later. Brian’s car was named Yang and mine Yin. We became lifelong friends fostered by our love for 914s. During the summers away from college we would drive to Bar Harbor Maine, Washington, D.C. or Breckenridge, Colorado to work and
experience life through the eyes of Young Turks driving Porsches. I’ll never forget the time we had both trunks full of gear and three of us in the cabin (my car was fitted with an optional third seat belt across the center cushion) and we were doing 105 mph flat out in Kansas. Or the time we drove down the mountain from Lake Tahoe to Sparks, Nevada not going below 105 mph, drifting all four tires through the long sweeping turns. The 914 was a great car and tremendous fun to drive. In 1975, with 98,000 miles on the engine, I watched another up and coming Young Turk drive away with my car as I nestled his $2300 check into my jean jacket.
and the proceeds from the sale now reside on Susie’s left ring finger. We then had a fully decked-out Mazda RX7 GSL which we had to sell after a year because Magee Hospital would not let us drive Jamie, our first born, home in a two-seater. For years I thought of the great times I had in my 914 and in 1990 I began to look for another in earnest. I had decided on a 1975-76 2.0 liter model because they were the last years of
production and had the bigger displacement engine. I also liked the bumper arrangements with the built-in driving lights. For three years I scanned the local newspapers, auto magazines, Auto Traders, Hemmings and the Panorama for the perfect car with absolutely no luck. Sure, there were the occasional $25,000 trailer queens out there but I couldn’t afford those. I finally succumbed to the fact that I would probably (Continued on page 14)

Obsession For The Perfect 914 Continued from page 11 never find the car that I was looking for so I went to Sewickley Porsche to see about getting my name on a roster for a new Boxster. I was told that I was fifteenth in line and I would get a car in about a year after they were available! Yikes! I wanted a Porsche, badly, and was hitting walls with every turn. That Christmas while visiting my in-laws in Sunrise, Florida, I asked my father-in-law if he would drop me off at the Automobile Toy Store in Ft. Lauderdale. It was a cloudy day, and we wouldn’t be swimming, so I thought I would take a look. The Toy Store amazed me. Throughout their seven showroom floors I counted seventy 911s! I was a kid in a Porsche candy store. There were coupes, Targas, Cabs, an RUF, six workedup Turbos in a row from 350HP to 600HP, and in the front windows were five Guards Red 911s and one Summer Yellow Cabriolet with mahogany top and mahogany leather interior. Guess which one grabbed my attention! After a lengthy test drive and one hour of negotiating I literally emptied my money market fund to buy the car that the week prior had been a show piece for a
fashion extravaganza in the lobby of the Doral Hotel. The deal done, I asked the sales manager if I got a good car and his comment was that the only thing wrong with the car was that it was yellow! (Little did he know!) My father-in-law picked me up and we drove home. He could tell by my pale skin, the tremor in my voice, and the smile on my face that something had happened. At home, the story unfolded to much excitement among my family, especially the kids. We immediately got in the car and drove back to the now-closed Toy Store to press our noses up against the window to look at our new car. We had the 911 shipped back to Pittsburgh where we enjoyed it for two years. We joined the Allegheny Region PCA and were taken under the wings of Hank and Donna Kessler. The Kesslers introduced us to many of the club members who became our friends. Yet, I still read the Panorama, Hemmings, newspapers, etc. looking for that excellent 914.
CHAPTER 3: The Hunt Continues In the fortieth anniversary issue of Porsche Panorama (December, 1995) there appeared the following advertisement: 1976 914/2.0 Roadster #4762901432. Red/Blk, excellent condition in/out, no rust ever, Ariz car, alloy wheels, new Yokohama tires, original fuel injection, air pump and muffler. Bill Grabowski, Stuart, Fl.” I phoned Bill to find the car was still available. Bill told me how, at 72, he was the oldest registered Porsche racer in America. While he

had his eye on a 1973 911E to set up for racing, the fellow who owned the 911E was stalling and Bill finally gave up on the car. He found a 914 in Arizona and except for some dry-rotted rubber seals the car was in excellent condition. The car was completely original with no rust and had never been wrecked. Bill bought the car and had it shipped to Florida where he was going to set it up for racing until shortly thereafter the 911E owner acquiesced and agreed to sell his car. Bill immediately placed an ad in the Panorama where myeyes fell upon it. A few weeks later, during our annual trip to visit the in-laws in Florida, I met Bill at his home. During the test drive, Bill showed me how the average car could be made above average with the addition of a knowledgeable driver. The car ran to red line with ease and didn’t complain from multiple high RPM downshifts from fifth to second. I was embarrassed to then take the wheel for my test drive for I didn’t want Bill to see how inexperienced I was at performance driving. I overcame my fear by simply asking for a driving lesson right then and there. We had lots of fun and I learned how to cut apexes, speed shift and brake at the last possible moment to transfer weight to the proper wheels prior to a turn. Following my lesson, I happily purchased the 914 from Bill and had the Toy Store ship it to Pittsburgh.
CHAPTER 4: My Eye Was Still Wanderin’ Susie, the kids and I were now becoming very active in the Allegheny Region PCA. Vince and Kathy Golik taught me how to judge Porsches for concourse events and I was becoming a regular at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. My boys, Jamie (14) and Gregory (10), were growing up in the Porsche community and were learning lessons in life that I never experienced.
Gregory was fortunate enough to have Bill and Melissa Kish and their son John get him involved in race timing at the 1998 Vintage Grand Prix. I still can’t believe the little twerp had Pit Passes that allowed him to go to places that Jamie, Susie and I wished we could get into! He even held the American flag next to Mayor Murphy at the Sunday Opening Ceremony! Even though my 914 was in great shape, my eye was still wanderin’. Each month I would eagerly await the arrival of the Panorama, flip straight to The Mart section and review all of the 914s offered for sale. It was in the September, 1998 issue that I found the following advertisement: “1972 914/1.7 Roadster, red/drkbrn, app grp (chrome bumpers, fog lights, vinyl cover on roll bar, center bin, alloys Mahle,) AM/FM stereo, purchased in Italy in 1972 by current owner, driven 5,692 miles. This car is new, spare never out, let
alone on the ground, not a chip or ding, five original tires. $$$$/OBO.” NOTE: The actual colors on the car were #1310 Bahia Red and #21 Russet Leatherette. The Italian 914s differed from the American and European 914s by utilizing clear front turn signal lenses with an amber bulb while the European lens was half clear and half amber and the American lens was 100% amber, with an embossed figure of the Wolfsburg Castle on the bat wing horn lever rather than the Porsche crest, and the rear nomenclature appearing as “914-VWPorsche” rather than simply 914. 5,692 miles? Was this a misprint? During the Allegheny Region PCA Nominating Dinner I brought up the subject of my interest in this car with the Kesslers, Kishs and Tauriellos. After some extensive discussion, Bill Kish said, “Ronny, you’re not going to be happy until you get the perfect 914. Why don’t you just go to Boston and
look at the car?” He should talk about perfect 914s! The Tauriellos and Kesslers concurred. Dan Tauriello’s mental wheels began to spin and he suddenly blurted out, “I work for US Air, I can get you a buddy pass for $85: I am off next Tuesday; I’ve always wanted to see Boston; I’ll bring two pairs of overalls from maintenance; I can meet you at the gate after work at 7AM; we can fly to see the car and be home by 7PM.” Whoa Dan! Can I buy a vowel? Dan had just blurted out such a run-on sentence that all of us were gasping for air at the table! It didn’t take much arm twisting to get me to agree. I would look into going to Boston to see the car. Next month you will read about Ron and Dan’s Excellent Adventure where they fly to Boston to finally meet Lorenzo, see the Italian 914 and work out a deal. However, getting the car back to Pittsburgh was not without challenges, as you will see.

Porsche Plugs With little to do and the need to wear a mask, I decided to change the spark plugs on my 997.2 911 Turbo S. To my surprise, the owner’s service manual indicates that the plugs should be changed at 30,000 miles! I must state that I find it hard to believe that they should be changed in such a short period of time. Generally, most of the vehicles I have owned require spark plug changes at approximately 60,000 miles. For example, my Mazda CS-5 SUV plug changes are at 75,000 miles. Changing the spark plugs on a twin turbo Porsche is a major undertaking. It helps if you have a lift or a pit and, more importantly, a supply of Valium. I will try to make the procedure relatively brief because my main reason for writing this article comes at its conclusion. First, both rear wheels have to be removed. As we know, all Turbo S models have center lock wheels and megabuck ceramic disc brakes. A great deal of care is necessary in order not to damage any
of the brake components. One of the first “accessories” that I bought for my car was a four-foot long torque wrench. It requires 440 foot-pounds of torque to remove the center lock wheels. Next, the rear half of the fender liners have to come off. Then both tail lights have to be taken off (see figure 1). Next, the rear bumper is removed. I placed the rear bumper out on the lawn so it could enjoy the lovely summer day all by itself (see figure 2). Next, the rear “impact” bumper/shock absorber is removed (see figure 3) revealing the muffler (photo 4). The “Y” pipe that attaches the throttle body to the intercoolers is next (photos 5 & 6). I thought the “Y” pipe was made out of some exotic material; however, it’s only plastic. Both intercoolers are next along with a few associated hoses. The intercoolers are supported in a “cage” under the rear fenders (photo 7). When they are removed there is a “stamped” aluminum heat shield that protects the underlying electronic elements and the spark plugs (photo 8).

Please note that prior to this step I did consume one of the aforementioned Valium tablets and left a message on my psychiatrist’s answering machine. Finally, after removing the heat shield you can see the spark plug coils, and, when they are removed (not at all easy), the spark plugs (see photos 9 & 10). So HERE, FINALLY, IS THE GOOD NEWS! Check out the photo of the spark plug. There really is essentially NO WEAR OR BUILDUP on the plug. It is my conclusion that there is absolutely no need to change the spark plugs on these cars at 30,000 miles. 50,000 or 60,000 is more like it. Furthermore, the dealer indicates that it takes over six hours to do the job … plus a bill for Valium. I shudder to think of the $ bill. Speaking of “a bill,” I would like to thank Bill Rice Porsche.

GCR 2020 Election BIOS Updated President - Peter Olliviere For those that don’t know me, my name is Peter Olliviere and I am running for the position of President of the Gold Coast Region. I have been a Porsche Club of America member since 2000, not the longest member by a long shot, but 20 years invested in the Club is a good chunk of time. For the most part over those years I have enjoyed the cars, the people, and the experience that involvement in this club brings. No matter what you enjoy about Porsches, the club provides a venue for it. All that’s asked of you in return is to occasionally volunteer to help facilitate the club’s events and to enjoy your car and the experience. After being a member for a year or two, I realized that the events put on by the club that I enjoyed so much couldn’t happen without the help of a lot of volunteers. So in order to make the clubs event successful I got involved. When I enjoy something I get involved to the best of my ability. I have served several terms as a Board Member, and am now the current Vice President. With a couple of exceptions, I have attended every Board meeting over the last few years even when I was not A Board Member. I have taken the time to do so because I am interested in the direction the Club takes. Attending the meeting as a member allowed me to truly understand the Club, the people, and the mindset of the Board Members. It also allowed me to get involved and give direct input into and about decisions the Board made. Shortly after becoming a member I found that I had an interest in Concours and so became the Assistant Chair for the Concours Committee. I get great satisfaction from assisting members who have never been involved with the sport, to get involved. This was the driving idea for the club developing The Concours College Program, and I feel proud that I was part
of its development. Through the years, I have been deeply involved with Concours, Social and Technical events. I have continued and expanded Concours College, created the Classic Water Cooled events, headed up Porsches by the Bay, and the Heritage Park car shows. I initiated the Conchy Joe’s Run and assisted with the Sanibel Island events. My efforts did not stop with car related events; I created and headed up the Gold Coast entry into the Winterfest Boat Parade, and I have worked to make The Gold Coast Region more active in the community and charitable work. These efforts have raised over $35,000 in donations to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, and includes the multiple hospital Porsche Toy Parade held last Christmas. I now hold the position of Vice President to the current Board and have tried my best to fulfill the requirements of that job. This year the Club is facing the challenge of Covirus-19, it’s a threat that goes far beyond just getting sick. The consequences can be far more serious. The Club’s response has been to take a “wait and see” attitude which I feel is the correct thing to do, but while we have paused most activities we should use this time to come up with new ideas and ways to enjoy this hobby. We are already seeing evidence of new ways of doing things using Social Medial and I think it’s important
that the Club continues in that direction. I can only hope the membership views my time as a Director and Vice President was well spent. My goal now is to run for the position of President of the Gold Coast Region, Right now the Club is faced with tremendous challenges that will chart the direction we take for years to come. None of the decisions that need to be made are easy, or will please all members, but for the greater good of the Club we must work together as we move into 2021, and I am willing to put in the work required as president to achieve our goals. I believe that my desire for club growth, fairness and calm is shared by the vast majority of the membership and in the final analysis this is a Club made up of people that want to enjoy their Porsches and the camaradi that is created by common interest.

GCR 2020 Election BIOS Updated Vice President - Dottie Kidd It has been my privilege to serve the members of Gold Coast region for numerous years. Many of you know me from my involvement with the GCR Autocross & social programs and helping wherever needed. Some of you may not know my other volunteer roles, which include but are not limited to: • Current GCR Secretary, & Social & Safety Chair • PCA Member /Co member for over twenty years • Autocross Registrar for over fifteen years • Director for five years • GCR Treasurer for two years • Participated in many out of region

Gold Coast Region and a Potential New Region To the General Membership: This letter is the result of an effort of your Board of Directors to keep you informed of the potential changes that are being considered in your region. As some of you may have heard, the question has arisen as to whether or not the northern part of Gold Coast should be reorganized in a way that better serves the members in those areas by forming a new region. A committee has been formed to study the impact of this division on our membership. Gold Coast Region extends from Key West to Fort Pierce and west to Sebring. If you live in the southern portion, the only impact on you will be that you may have a new PCA region formed north of you. That region will be younger and less developed in its programs and membership. As a PCA member you will be able to participate in any activity that takes place in that region, the same way you always could. For all intents and purposes, you will see no effect if a new region is formed. If you live in the northern area, the effect on you is also pretty straight forward. If your address is located north of the region dividing line you will be given a choice of transferring your membership to the new region, any other region, or to remain with Gold Coast. The line of division between Gold Coast and the potential new region has not been decided yet, so we can’t speculate as to actually who will be affected. You will be contacted by PCA National and given a choice of transferring your membership if you wish to. If you should decide to go with the new region, you will be still be able to take part in any Gold Coast function. Although there is little impact on the membership as a whole, there is potential impact on the Gold Coast Region. The Board of Directors must look forward to the long-term health and growth of our region and must evaluate the effect of any change. As we see it, the largest area for study is how we reorganize the region to the benefit of everyone. The question is where we put the dividing line between the existing Gold Coast Region and the potential new region. Several solutions are being discussed and if the reorganization should go forward, the dividing line will be negotiated somewhere north or south of Palm Beach County. Other areas of consideration are PCA Region Rebates (the portion of your membership dues that come back to your Region), advertisers, our newsletter and finances. As indicated above, this letter is being shared to make the Gold Coast membership aware of the activity of your Board of Directors. You can be assured that all actions will be carefully reviewed by the Board, and will only be taken if and when it will be beneficial to all members. We welcome any input or thoughts from our members by contacting one of the Gold Coast Officers (Steve Kidd, Peter Olliviere, Carolynn Ditrichs or Dottie Kidd) by using the contact information on page 6 of this Kassette.

Finally, a chance to get out and drive our Porsches! On Saturday October 10th Gold Coast Members are invited to join fellow PCA members for a walking tour in the beautiful city of Lake Placid. In this quaint town (Voted “America’s Most Interesting Town”) in Highlands County, you can find almost fifty life-size murals, as well as artistic trash containers, painting of birds, and several museums. Plans are to meet at Stuart Park downtown. A mural book is available with a map showing where all the numbered murals are, along with a description, artist’s name, and possibly a few objects hidden in the mural that you can find or listen to. Just follow the map in either direction to view the murals – most within walking distance, a few by driving. Stuart Park has a pavilion and benches where you can take a break or have lunch. We will not be driving in large groups to Lake Placid because of the tight restrictions in the tri-county area, but I’m sure you will be able to wave to a few Porsches on the way. Highlands County is in Phase 2 of the COVID-19 restrictions so we must limit any group to fewer than fifty. We will stagger the arrival times to facilitate keeping to smaller groups. You must wear a mask when you are within six feet of anyone, but all the murals are outside, and it will be easy to stay a safe distance. There are restaurants where you can order lunch, and have it delivered to the park or order take-out. The event will be open on ClubRegistration.net and all attendees will be required to sign PCA’s new “Communicable Disease Waiver" (“CDW”). Gold Coast Election Notes It’s that time again! The 2020 GCR Election will be here soon! All members and co-members in good standing (paid PCA membership) as of October 1, 2020 are eligible to vote in the upcoming election. Only those members and co-members who are valid PCA/GCR members on that date will be allowed to vote. Voting is done electronically so to be able to participate in this election you and your co-member, if applicable, will need to have valid email addresses on file with PCA. The email addresses are sent to our election vendor to send the ballots out to our members. If you have been receiving emails regularly from Gold Coast Region then your email addresses are valid. If you haven’t received any emails in a long time then you need to update your email addresses. We ask that you, as Gold Coast Region members, log onto pca.org and make sure your account has current email addresses for both the primary member and the co-member. If, for some reason, a co-member does not have a valid email address, the primary member will receive two separate emails with individual codes/ballots, one for themselves and one for their co-member, so that each can vote. You can also request a paper ballot. To do so you must contact the GCR secretary and one will be sent to you. Paper ballots must be mailed to the secretary and must be postmarked no later than November 15, 2020 to be counted. If you have questions about the election process you can go to goldcoastregion.org and review our by-laws which can be found as a tab under the “About Us” section in the header at the top of the page. If you are having a problem with your email addresses on your PCA account you can contact Paul Raben in Membership for help.
