TIP #1: TRACE & CUT

Lay your frames on a piece of kraft paper (or old newspapers). Trace the outline of each frame carefully and cut out the shapes. This simple trick ensures perfect placement every time before you commit to the wall.

TIP #2: FLOOR PLAY

Arrange your paper cutouts on the floor first. Mix it up! Try a blend of vertical and horizontal layouts, or put large statement pieces with smaller sketches to keep the eye moving.

TIP #3: NAIL IT

Once you love the layout, hammer your nails directly through the paper templates. Tear the paper away, hang your art, and voilà, your perfect gallery wall is done!

This year, landscape design is being redefined by "Desaturated Drifts " Moving away from high-contrast palettes, we are seeing a shift toward a sophisticated twilight vibe Imagine gardens bathed in a lavender haze, punctuated by the soft warmth of dusty peach and grounded by the dramatic depth of smoky plum noir. These muted, velvety tones mimic the fading light of a May evening, creating spaces that feel both ethereal and deeply grounded.

Desaturated and soft, this hue feels almost like a warm grey It’s intentionally designed to reflect the shifting May light without ever feeling like a nursery.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 8 PEOPLE

⅓ cup + ½ cup sugar, divided

1 tsp. grated lemon peel

2 tsp. dried lavender blossoms

3 Ibs. fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Crème fraîche or whipped cream

1/2 cup water

2 Tbsp. honey

HERE’S HOW…

In a small bowl, combine ⅓ cup sugar with lemon peel and blend well. Reserve.

Add ½ cup sugar, water, honey and lavender to a small sauce pan. Bring to boil over moderatelyhigh heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until the lavender flavor is pronounced, about 3 minutes. Strain the syrup into a small bowl. If making up to a day ahead, re-heat before using.

Place the strawberries in a large bowl. Add the warm syrup to the berries and mix well. Divide the berries and syrup among 8 bowls, such as large martini glasses. Spoon crème fraîche over the berries and sprinkle lemon sugar over all. Serve immediately.
