AMY BYNERS

AMY BYNERS ALL ABOUT

For over twenty years, the barrier islands of Charleston have held a secret collaborator in Amy, a native Carolinian whose life’s work is a love letter to the Lowcountry. Her process is one of patient discovery, spending decades scouring the shoreline to collect the "maritime uniquities" that the Atlantic washes ashore.

From weathered artifacts and local natural history to the delicate curves of native shells, Amy doesn’t just collect; she weaves. Her one-ofa-kind creations breathe new life into sustainably curated pieces, bridging the gap between timeless antiques and the raw beauty of the natural world.

Don’t miss out! We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate with Amy for an exclusive Shell Event this April at Paysage Living. Come see the magic for yourself!

L'ART DE VIVRE

GET LUCKY

DESIGNER-TESTED DECOR WITH A TOUCH OF IRISH LUCK

TIP #1: LAYER YOUR GREENS

TIP #2: THE "POT OF GOLD" CENTERPIECE

Ditch the plastic shamrocks. Instead, embrace the Irish landscape by layering textures of velvet green, forest green linen, and eucalyptus. A monochromatic palette feels sophisticated, not kitschy, and honors the "Emerald Isle" with true elegance.

Swap the chocolate coins for brass accents and candlelight. Use vintage brass candlesticks or a hammered gold bowl filled with white hydrangeas. The metallic warmth provides a glowing focal point.

TIP #3: FOLKLORE IN THE DETAILS

Incorporate "Living Decor" by placing a small, potted Oxalis Triangularis (the sophisticated cousin of the clover) at each setting. Attach a handwritten card sharing a brief bit of Celtic mythology; it’s a thoughtful conversation starter that doubles as a sustainable party favor.

AMY GAWEDA

Amy Gaweda is a visual storyteller whose work captures the rhythmic dialogue between the coastal tides and the expansive Southern sky. While her artistic journey began with the melodies of piano and song, she discovered a new, silent music in adulthood through the medium of oil painting.

A Wilmington native, Amy’s identity is anchored in the salt air of Wrightsville Beach. Today, she translates that lifelong reverence for the water into luminous depictions of marshes and seascapes. She is particularly captivated by the sky, viewing the clouds as a divine, everchanging masterpiece. Drawing inspiration from the NC coast to the quiet shores of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands, Amy bottles the serenity of the Lowcountry.

A BEAUTIFUL LIFE

Lisa and Stedman Stevens lived the American Dream until a sudden cancer diagnosis led to Lisa’s death just 42 days later. A Beautiful Life follows a single father and his three daughters through a decade of grief, offering a rare, long-term look at emotional survival.

Moving beyond typical memoirs, this book provides a practical roadmap for friends and family, highlighting the specific words and actions that truly help. By sharing perspectives from both a bereaved parent and grieving teenagers, Stevens delivers a powerful message of resilience and ten years of essential lessons for navigating traumatic loss.

The "I'm on a cleanse" guest - Serve sparkling water in a vintage crystal coupe with a dash of bitters. It looks like a cocktail. They won't feel like the "boring" one, and nobody will ask them why they aren't drinking.

The guest is 20 minutes late - Never mention the time. Just hand them a drink. In France, the "polite delay" is expected; in the US, it's stress. Forgive it instantly.

You spilled red wine - The "salt & sparkle" trick. Salt the stain, then pour sparkling water. It’s a miniscience show that de-escalates the host’s panic.

The conversation dies - Ask: "What is the best thing you've eaten this year?" Food is the universal language of culture.

You’re the first to arrive - Ask for the "hardest" job: "Tell me which ice bucket needs filling." It kills the awkward 'first guest' small talk by giving you a mission.

CHIC HAPPENS

SAVOIRFAIRE FOR LIFE’S LITTLE FAUX PAS

An uninvited "plus one" appearsThe "bread & butter" stretch. Add an extra basket of bread and a bowl of olives. It’s the French way of making a table feel abundant even when the portions are fixed.

You forgot a gift entirely - Send a handwritten "thank you" note with a Paysage gift card the next morning. Think of it as a guilt-free shopping spree. While a bottle of wine is usually gone by midnight, a find from Paysage, like a cool textured vase or a statement bowl, actually sticks around. It’s a gift that makes their space look better long after the party's over.

The "How do I get them to leave?" moment - Put on a kettle. The sound of a whistling kettle is the universal "civilized" end to an evening. It’s gentler than turning up the lights, but everyone knows the "tea & coffee" phase is the finale.

LEE INDUSTRIES

ECOFRIENDLY VENDOR

Since 1969, LEE has been committed to manufacturing earth friendly products, using sustainable processes by people who care about the environment. In the early 1980's, LEE chose to use products that eliminated chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's) in foam cushions before it was mandated. Around the same time, LEE initiated waste reduction and recycling programs in all parts of the manufacturing process. It was taking these small, simple steps that laid the groundwork for future eco-friendly manufacturing.

As new technology has progressed and as new products are made available, LEE has made the effort to incorporate them into the manufacturing process. In 2006, LEE introduced naturalLEE, an option in upholstery that features soy-based cushions, fibers made from recycled plastic, organic fabrics for upholstery, and springs made from 80% recycled metal. With the success of the program and with LEE's commitment to the environment, the benefits and components of naturalLEE have been made standard on all LEE products.

Paysage NATURALLEE STORY

Reforestation: Over 142,515 trees donated to American forests.

Fuel Savings: Saving 64 gallons of crude oil daily, equivalent to 28 global trips per year.

Recycled Materials: Each back cushion repurposes 116 plastic bottles.

Waste Reduction: Over 95% of manufacturing waste is recycled annually.

Efficiency: Advanced technology maximizes fabric and leather yields to reduce scrap.

Ethics: All vendors must strictly adhere to a mandatory Code of Conduct.

Paysage ROASTED BABY-BACK RIBS

INGREDIENTS RIBS

6 lbs. baby-back pork ribs, 3 racks olive oil

1 Tbsp. cumin

1 Tbsp. oregano

2 tsp. onion powder

1 Tbsp. salt

2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

2 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary

3 Tbsp. light brown sugar

3 Tbsp. sugar

6 cups chicken broth

BARBECUE SAUCE

1 cup ketchup

2½ cups apple cider vinegar

2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. pepper

2 tsp. onion powder

4 tsp. mustard powder

2 tsp. garlic powder

6 Tbsp. light brown sugar

HERE’S HOW…

Remove membrane from bone side of the ribs. Pat dry. Place ribs in a single layer, meat side up, in 1–2 large roasting pans and rub with olive oil.

Mix remaining ingredients except chicken broth. Spread mixture over the ribs. Add chicken broth, just enough to come up under the ribs, but not to cover the tops. Cover and cook at 300° for 3 hrs.

For sauce, whisk ingredients together.

Ribs may be served immediately or kept covered until ready to serve. Serve with warmed barbecue sauce.

In an era dominated by electronic production and digital artifice, French singer Zaz stands as a powerful testament to the enduring appeal of organic, soulful music. Since her 2010 global breakthrough with the anthem "Je veux," she has revitalized the chanson tradition by seamlessly blending gypsy jazz, folk, and modern pop. Her distinctive raspy vocals and high-energy performances have redefined what it means to be a contemporary French icon.

Zaz’s impact on today’s music landscape is rooted in her unwavering commitment to authenticity. She has paved the way for a new generation of acoustic-leaning artists, proving that raw emotional sincerity and traditional instrumentation can still dominate international charts. By rejecting materialism in her lyrics and embracing a "busking" spirit even on world stages, she offers a humanistic alternative to the polished veneer of mainstream pop. Today, Zaz remains a vital cultural bridge, proving that genuine passion and the French spirit are truly universal.

SPOT THE SEVEN DIFFERENCES

BRINGING THE OUTSIDE IN FOR SPRING 2026

Stop just looking at your garden, move into it! Spring 2026 introduces "Living Architecture," a trend that treats your floor plan like a forest floor. Think mossy greens, tactile clay, and fabrics light enough to catch a breeze. It’s a punchy, natureobsessed makeover that transforms cramped corners into expansive, airy retreats. Here are three curated concepts for your home:

Transform any corner into a highdensity indoor jungle for Spring 2026 by layering lush greenery. Use the Ficus Audrey as a structural anchor, surrounding it with varied heights to mimic a wild canopy. Paired with warm terracotta flooring, these earthy textures blur the line between interior comfort and the raw, restorative beauty of the great outdoors.

Gigi Horsley: 843-276-5797

Pair raw, unpolished textures with soft spring pastels. Balancing travertine tables and sandstone accents against moss-green linen, this aesthetic creates a grounded, airy sanctuary that celebrates the earth’s sophisticated, natural beauty.

Go bold with oversized, 3D-textured nature. This trend uses dramatic floral wallpapers to bring the meadow indoors, finished with fresh-cut wildflowers for a vibrant, blooming, and high-energy spring retreat.
