Greetings in the Precious Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Lady L. Janice Brooks and I greet you warmly with the love of Christ! This is truly one of my favorite seasons--the Christmas season. This is the time of year when we who are in the Body of Christ can celebrate Jesus, the greatest gift we have received. Though this Christmas season may look and feel differently than others, still I wonder in the Love of God that He would wrap Himself in flesh and come to this world in the form of Jesus. The Bible tells us, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God’s love for us was so great that He gave Himself to us and for us. His love finds us in our deepest mess and holds us up in our deepest sorrow. The love of God is amazing, overwhelming, and breathtaking. And it is His amazing, never-ending love that He commands us to show to each other, even if it may be from a distance. That, my beloved brothers and sisters, is the beauty of Christmas. I hope that in the days to come, and in the moments the world celebrates with gifts, we take some time to remember God’s greatest gift to us: His love. His love was embodied in the birth of Jesus, giving us all a model for how we too should embody the love of God to all those we encounter. More than ever, it is critical we embody and share the love of God to one another in a day and time when we may feel very alone and separated. However, God’s love transcends anything and everything, and binds us together in the days when we cannot physically share space with one another. It is our prayer that we all take a few moments each day to love on someone in your life, from your family to strangers. May God’s favor and love surround you! Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for the countless readers and subscribers of The Christian Outlook magazine. This is the season where we have the opportunity to reflect upon the many acts of kindness that we’ve both seen and received, and how far we have come. It’s in those moments that I’ve realized just how much we’ve achieved as a publication, how much our sales and reach have grown…but most of all, how much we’ve been able to positively impact the lives of so many people -- and all of that would not have been possible without the dedication and support of readers like you. Thank You!

would also like to thank our Presiding Bishop, Bishop Theodore L. Brooks, Sr., for the continued grace to serve our great organization in this capacity. The Bible enlightens us that elders who have been serving well be considered worthy of double honor (1 Tim. 5:17), and in light of the experiences that we’ve had as a church and as a nation, it is my firm belief that our distinguished Presider continues to serve and lead us well, and has helped us -- as the Body of Christ, to remain focused and steadfast as we seek the face of the Lord during these unprecedented times. This year, we’ve been able to feature many amazing leaders, preachers and teachers from around the world, as we persistently focus on progress. As a publication, we’ve continued to grow and make significant impact to our creativity for the better, and our team is actively gathering together with efforts of being even bigger and stronger in 2021. As a magazine, all of this would not be possible without the team that I affectionately call “The Crew” right by my side -- First Lady Jennifer Slaughter, Evang. Mona Thomas-Green, Eld. Demarcus Williams, Eld. Eric Bowens, Eld. Craig Gilchrist, Dr. Ruth Tyson-Newton, Min. Mary Sanford, Sis. Stacey Monger -- and the newest additions to our team, Sis. Dawne Hill and Min.
