Our thanks to our tournament sponsor Geoff Winchester – WB WEALTH
Cheshire County Sports Club, Plas Newton Lane, Chester, CH2 1PR, England
Welcome Hello and a very warm welcome to the 2025 Over 50’s Four Nations Football Tournament.
PROUD SUPPORTERS OF THE 2025 OVER 50’S FOUR NATIONS FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
England are extremely proud to host the event this year and we hope our friends from Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland enjoy the facilities here at ‘The Cheshire’. This is the fourteenth time that the Over 50’s tournament has taken place. The inaugural tournament was in 2011, hosted by Scotland at the Largs National Sports Centre in Inverness. It was contested by the four ‘home nations’ – England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It has taken place annually ever since with the exception of 2020 when it was cancelled due to the pandemic. Up to 2019, Ireland had won six tournaments, England two and in 2015 it was shared by Ireland and Scotland. When the tournament resumed in 2021, Scotland were unfortunately unable to field a team and for the next three years the remaining nations provided players for ‘Team GB’ to compete as the fourth ‘nation’.

Wales were victorious for the first time in 2021 and retained the trophy in 2022. England were back on the rostrum in 2023. In 2024, England retained the title and everyone was delighted to welcome Scotland back into the competition.
