Gaspar Gorodisch
Biography Gaspar Gorodisch (b. Buenos Aires, 1996) is an emerging Argentinian artist working at the intersection of sculpture and experimental ceramics. After studying music at the Escuela de Música Contemporánea (CABA) and industrial design at UADE (CABA), he shifted his focus to ceramics, studying with Danny Meisinger (USA) and Simon Levin (Italy), and apprenticing with Adam Field in Helena, Montana (USA). In 2024, he completed a residency at Guldagergaard, Skælskør, Denmark, and his curatorial projects include Claytopia (2025), where he presented “Lo que sale del fuego”. Gorodisch currently lives and works in London. Statement Gaspar Gorodisch’s practice centres on themes of rupture, repair, and resilience. Living with long-term physical injuries, he has described clay as an “empathetic medium that records pressure, resistance, and fracture”. Damaged pieces are repaired rather than discarded, with breaks intentionally left visible as part of each object’s history. Through this materially driven process, his sculptures foreground fragility as a site of strength, balancing vulnerability with formal invention.

Sophy Rickett
Biography Sophy Rickett is an artist who works with photography, writing and video installation. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1999, she has had solo exhibitions in numerous galleries and institutions including Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge, De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill; Nichido Contemporary Art, Tokyo; Chateau de Lichtenberg, France; Arnolfini, Bristol; Museum of the History of Science, Oxford. Group exhibitions include Baltic Mill, UK; Centre Rhenan d’A rt Contemporain, Alsace, France; Galleria Civica, Modena, Italy; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Il Museo di Trento, Italy; Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Russia; Fitzwilliam, Cambridge. Research awards include recent commissions from London’s Cuming Collection and the Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge. She is the recipient of two AHRC awards (2010, 2012). Her work is held in many private and public collections including UK Government Art Collection; Pompidou Collection, Paris; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Federal Reserve, Washington; Fondazione Sandretto Rebaudengo, Italy.
Statement ‘Thin Fluid’ playfully explores the slipperiness of the photographic medium, and the inevitability of its failure to ever fully capture or retain its subject. The work depicts a minimal composition of nine spheres on an elliptical plinth, with a tenth sphere appearing, not as an image, but as an object, on the outside of the frame. This sphere, seemingly escaped from the image, alerts us to the sophisticated conceptual games that photographic representation invites us to engage with.

Melanie Issaka
Biography Melanie Issaka is a visual artist and freelance photographer living and working in London, UK. She graduated from The Royal College of Art with a Photography MA. Specialising in image making, she developed a social practice concerned with documentation, representation and archiving with reference to the intersectionality of Race and Gender, as well as exploring the materiality of print and lens-based media. Her work is exhibited internationally, most recently at the Lagos Fotofestival. Statement ‘Locating The Personal’ is a series of photograms; selfportraits that set out to question the representation of the Black female figure within the Western canon of photography. Through encounters with material, I mark my presence. In negotiating between personal levels of visibility, I claim space. In making these images, bodily surfaces such as hands are illuminated, simultaneously being brought in and out of focus. The prints bear the physical traces of the artist’s physical interaction with the material.

Bowei Yang
Biography Bowei Yang (b.1994 Hangzhou China) is an artist based in Beijing and London. His work explores the queer scene in China, through the lens of staged memories of his childhood. Bowei Yang received his Bachelor’s Degree in Photography from Beijing Film Academy and his MA from the Royal College of Art in London in 2019.Honoured as one of the Foam Talents 2021 he is exhibiting his work internationally, including in China, France, Japan and the UK. Statement “The shadow of collective identity is where the individual identity lies. By gazing at the fragility of one’s shadow, one can accept the surroundings like a fluttering butterfly.”

Sarah Dobai
Biography Sarah Dobai’s is an artist based in photography, film & text. Sarah Dobai lives and works in London is a Reader in Photography, Text and Film-based Practice at University of the Arts London.
Statement ‘Harri with headphones’ (2019) pictures a young woman listening to music. This portrait draws on mystical approaches to portraiture - that can be found in the Scandinavian school of paintings - where the sitter seems to be transported into another realm. ‘Harri with headphones’ shows the central position of photography and sound in relation to current debates around realism, illusionism and authorship.

Eva Stenram
Biography Eva Stenram (SE/GB) is a visual artist who lives in Berlin. She studied in London at the Royal College of Art and the Slade School of Fine Art. Stenram’s art practice revolves around photography and postproduction, investigating the codes, desires and ideologies at play within the construction of the photographic image. She frequently uses archive material from popular culture and other analogue and digital sources that are in general public circulation. Using a variety of reproduction methods and montage techniques, she displaces her source material’s original meaning and lets the work open up new interpretations. Her work is ultimately about being a viewer, a consumer of images. Stenram’s work has been exhibited worldwide, her solo exhibitions include Cadastral at Fotografisk Center in Copenhagen, New Meridians at Literaturhaus in Berlin and Positions at Siobhan Davies Dance in London. Stenram’s work is in the collections of Moderna Museet in Sweden, the Victoria and Albert Museum and Tate Gallery in the UK, and the Norton Museum in Florida. Statement In Eva Stenram’s work, bodies are often fragmented and fuse with their surroundings, camouflaging or becoming a part of an interior or landscape. In *Home Town* the body of a nude model has been partially covered by a new textile pattern constructed from the photographed fabric that the woman’s body rests upon. *Home Town* is part of a series of works, collectively titled *Offcut*, that reconfigures details from found vintage erotic photographs and renders them in a new, often material form.

Ingrid Berthon-Moine
Biography Ingrid Berthon-Moine is a French visual artist based in London whose work primarily uses sculpture and painting to examine the construction of gender identity. In 2020 she created the online project ‘I Lack it, I Like it’ where she interviews womxn, who work in the artistic and creative fields, on their notion of lack(s). Most recently her work was exhibited at the ‘Drawing Biennial’ at the Drawing Room, London (2021). Previously her work has been shown at the ICA, London, Espace Temoin, Switzerland and the Stadtmuseum München. Her work is in many private collections as well as the British Museum Collection and the National Irish Visual Arts Library. Statement Ingrid Berthon-Moine follows the statutory canons of classical Greek sculpture, which celebrated small and taut genitals to reflect an ideal of sexual self-control and a civilized mind. ‘Marbles’ evokes the richness of language which incorporates the body, to testify, to con-test and to pro-test.

Loreal Prystaj
Biography Loreal Prystaj’s work focuses on alchemy, exploring the interconnected cycles of life, death, and rebirth that resonate between consciousness and mysticism. Through a multidisciplinary approach— encompassing photography, moving images, and sculpture—she merges storytelling with self-portraiture to examine relationships between nature, the body, and the psyche. Rooted in psychoanalysis, archetypal symbolism, and surrealism, her process draws on dreams, mythology, and sacred texts to investigate metamorphosis as a symbol of shifting states of consciousness. Graduating with an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art in 2019, her work has been exhibited internationally, including at Photo London, Arles Photo Festival, and MIA Art Fair. Statement While revisiting her family home in American suburbia after a period of time away, Loreal Prystaj became re-acquainted with motifs and interior decorations that are used in the life-long act by women to ‘play house’. Here the artist embodies the tropes of a respected interior and performs as a ‘prop’, to transform these familiar spaces of genteel femininity into a charged room, where the forbidden is made visible. She says: “I attempt to reclaim these estranged and alienating domestic spaces and turn the gaze back to destabilize suburban normality and attempt to free myself and the next generations from the restrictions disallowing women to feel liberated.

Rut Blees Luxemburg
Biography Rut Blees Luxemburg is renowned for her photographic work that deals with the representation of the city and the phenomenon of the luminous. Her work has been shown in landmark exhibitions such as elles at Centre Pompidou, and A Handful of Dust curated by David Campany. Solo exhibitions include Phantom at Tate Liverpool and London Dust at the Museum of London. Her large-scale public work Silver Forest - a photographic urban landscape in cast concrete - is placed on the façade of Westminster City Hall in London. Blees Luxemburg’s photographs are held in many public and private collections including Tate London, V&A Museum, London, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Australia. She is a Professor in urban aesthetics at the Royal College of Art and created the iconic cover for The Streets’ Original Pirate Material. Statement Ledoux’s Donkey is from Rut Blees Luxemburg’s series *The dark intestine of Nicolas Ledoux. * The series is a sideways approach towards the French revolutionary architect’s oeuvre. Revolving around the Saline Royale, his hybrid factory - part panopticon, part anticipated ruin - Rut Blees Luxemburg exhibits nocturnal chimera of the imperfect Utopia. “In Arc-et-Senans lies the gates to the underworld, a semicircular fragment of a parallel reality, an alchemical symbol, a tinderbox of revolution, a pastoral factory, a time crystal, or a prescient example of an artist defining an aesthetics of work.” Dennis Goodwin.

Jonny Briggs
Biography Since finishing his studies at the Royal College of Art, London in 2011 Jonny Briggs has gained significant esteem for his radical and playful work. He has received numerous awards including Saatchi New Sensations 2011, Foam Talent 2014 and a NESTA Creative Sparks Award. A recent site specific installation in Burgh House and Hampstead Museum and solo exhibition at the Photoforum Pasquart Photography Museum in Switzerland 2017 were received with acclaim. His work has been included in numerous group shows internationally, including Shanghai Centre of Photography, The Benaki Museum in Greece, Jerwood Space and Photographers’ Gallery in London, The Mark Rothko Centre in Latvia, L’Atelier Néerlandais in Paris, Centre Photographique in Normandy, The Marta Herford Museum in Germany, Fondazione Fotografia Modena, Hauser & Wirth Somerset and East Wing Gallery in Dubai. Statement The image’s construction involved a photograph of my dad as a child, which I burst my ear through and re-photographed. The photo and frame are cut from the point of the ear - I think rather than the ear being passive to the mouth, it operates here as an ear that cuts. The title links to the extramission theory of vision - the once commonly held belief that instead of light entering the eye, invisible tendrils came out that would physically touch an object to see it (to touch with a look, leading to myths like the basilisk, Medusa etc). This image points towards a role reversal: an ear that can touch, that can destroy.

Yushi Li
Biography Yushi Li is a Chinese artist based in London. Having recently finished her MA studies at the Royal College of Art she has won accolades for her ingeniously produced work. Li was part of the Bloomberg New Contemporaries exhibition in 2018 and received the Royal Photography Society Hundred Heroines Award. Statement Leda and the Swan is a part of Yushi Li’s ongoing series Paintings, Dreams and Love. This photograph is inspired by the Greek mythology Leda and the Swan, in which the god Zeus turns himself into a swan to seduce and rape Leda. Looking at various old paintings of this subject in art history, Li tries to reflect on these representations of the staging of eroticism to make a contemporary portrayal of the desired body. Her desire, dreams and love for the desired body are illustrated in a photographic form, using animals and fantastic settings to imply the unconscious dimension of these scenes

Liz Orton
Biography Liz Orton is a visual artist working with photography, text and film to explore the relationship between images, knowledge and authorship. Her work engages widely with archives, both real and imagined, to explore the tensions between personal and scientific forms of knowledge. Statement This work is based on the gesture of recontextualising medical images in public settings. The original images are from Clark’s Positioning for Radiographers, the definitive guide for X-ray technicians, demonstrating how to correctly position bodies in parallel to the imaging plate. Chasing Intensities comprises six of these photographs displayed on lightboxes. The paper becomes opaque partially revealing the image on the reverse. This opacity is like an echo of the clinical gaze, seeing into the body and bringing new images to the surface.

Sista Pratesi
Biography Sista Pratesi (b. Aberdeen) studied at the Slade School of Art, London, and in 2002 was awarded the Abbey Fellowship at the British School at Rome. Her work has been exhibited widely in galleries and exhibitions including MACRO, Rome; Vane Gallery, Newcastle; Gimpel Fils, London; Galleria In Arco, Torino; BCA Gallery, County Clare; the Jerwood Gallery, London; and Artangel’s The Hobby Cave, London. Her films have also been presented in festivals and screening programmes including Lux Film Show; Folkestone International Film Festival; International Film Festival, Birmingham; Dreamers of Dreams, Bermondsey; and the Swedenborg Film Festival. Pratesi lives and works in London. Statement Sista Pratesi is an artist whose cross-disciplinary practice incorporates film, sound, embroidery, woven textiles, and painting. Her large-scale immersive installations evoke expansive, navigable worlds, recalling the experience of video games or simulation rides. Rich in texture and atmosphere, her work explores the borders between the real and the imagined, the familiar and the strange, and between expectation and lived reality. Reflecting on her 2025 series breakup stitches, the artist notes: “The embroideries and rugs are revealed to me through a dialogue of intuition and exploration.”

Margarita Gluzberg
Biography Margarita Gluzberg’s current practice is centred in drawing but has in the past expanded into many other mediums – from sound installation to performance and slide projection. Her solo projects include: 100nhsrooms with Vitalarts, 2020; In Paradise, Pushkin House, London, 2019; For Children Not For Children, Filet Space, London, 2018. He ongoing sound work ‘Actual Song of a Canary Bird’ was commissioned by Artangel in 2020 (as part of Slow Dans events programme). Margarita Gluzberg’s work is held in many collections and exists in the form of several major private commissions. She studied at Ruskin School of Art, Oxford University and Royal College of Art, and is currently Senior Lecturer at the Royal Academy Schools, London. Her Welcome Trust project ‘Rock On Bones’ was performed at venues such as the De La Warr Pavillion and the Royal College of Art. Statement Margarita Gluzberg’s ‘Photosphere’ series features black and white photographs of one of her drawings, each print in the edition handtinted by the artist using pencils made in Eastern Europe in the 1950s, proposing a kind of time travel through the photographic lens, and the resurrection of materials from another era.

Simon Popper
Biography Simon Popper is a British artist who lives in California. Simon Popper’s work can be broadly understood by its degrees of visual and linguistic separation, that is, through its titles (its naming) and the relations between what the works appear to be, what they are and what they might become. This often rests upon a hinge of wordplay or punning and visual tropes to break down or collapse objects and ideas characterised by a sense of the comedic or the deadpan – but in all seriousness – in a logic of displacement or derangement. The work of Simon Popper is an invitation to delinquency, an abandonment of one’s place anchoring a rational centred self into some altogether other self in another place, ordered and classified by systematic play and caprice if only for a moment. - David Bussel, curator.
