“My practice brings together oil and acrylic paints, collage, and resin on wood panel in a many-layered process where each medium builds upon the other. These paintings are informed by real plant life encountered through my own gardens, travel, close observation, and research into vintage botanical illustrations and photographs. Alongside these, I introduce imagined plant forms, unconstrained by realism. This interplay between the familiar and the fictional allows my work to exist in a space full of wonder and possibility. Interplay is an ongoing exchange—between mediums, between reality and imagination, and between the natural world and lived experience.”
