Andy Sumlin has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate with a focus on landlord representation of office buildings throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.

He utilizes extensive landlord experience, in-depth market knowledge and strong business and community relationships to achieve quantifiable increases in asset value. Having been on the ownership/development and brokerage side of the industry, Andy has a unique perspective in value creation and ownership concerns.

Andy is a native of Atlanta and began his career with Adams Cates/Grubb & Ellis, serving as a Vice President. He then took a position with Barry Real Estate Companies as Director of Project Leasing. His responsibilities ranged from lead tenant generation for new development, to lease up and disposition for speculative office buildings totaling over 4 million square feet. After 11 years on the development side, he transitioned back to brokerage with Cushman & Wakefield as an Executive Director and now is an equity partner with Partners Real Estate. Over the course of his career, he has represented over 20 million square feet of Class A and B office product and negotiated over $1 billion in lease transactions.

John serves as President and Managing Partner, Southeast for Houston-based Partners Real Estate.

Partners Real Estate is disrupting the commercial real estate industry with its unique platform that combines a 3-pillar operating model (Services, Investments & Development) with a privately-held partnership structure. As such, its clients appreciate how the full weight of the firm is invested in their success.

Prior to Partners Real Estate, John was with Cushman & Wakefield for 20 years where he represented some terrific clients in both headquarters transactions and multi-market account business; and also held a variety of leadership roles, which included serving as Managing Principal of the Atlanta office, President of the Central region (Midwest & Sunbelt markets), and President of U.S. Multifamily Capital Markets.

Being engaged civically is important to John. As such, he serves as Board Chair of the Atlanta Police Foundation and serves on the board of directors for Morehouse College, Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Buckhead Coalition.

John is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, and Past President of Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, The Rotary Club of Atlanta, former Chairman of the Board and current Advisory Board member, Chastain Park Conservancy
