“Last year I was involved in a very serious car accident. It has caused significant PTSD when it comes to driving. I leave for work very early in the morning. It is always dark. And there are problems with deer and my general fear of having another accident. Last year my husband installed a remote start in my vehicle. I now use that in the morning when I get up to start my car, let it warm up, and play WPER on the radio. Knowing my ca r has already been filled with the name of Jesus before I have to drive it early in the morning helps to ease my anxiety and calm my spirit. Thank you for all you do!” ~Adele

Share The Warmth We had our Share The Warmth campaign where we collected hats, coats, gloves and blankets and distributed them to Hope For Appalachia, Simply Angels and Mercy Mall!
This is Jerry! He has been a supporter and long time listener for many many years. Jerry drove all the way from Emporia with three big boxes of winter items for our Share The Warmth collection drive. He met me at one of the drop off stops in Richmond to make sure we got all his stuff! (over an hour drive from the Richmond drop off and a 2 hour drive from the WPER studio) He said he loves WPER and all we do for the community!
