When Prayer Goes Both Ways
“One of the things that has touched me most since joining Spirit FM happened during my very first prayer call.
A gentleman called in asking for immediate prayer. I was honored to pray with him, and after we finished, he surprised me by asking if he could pray for me. Of course, I said yes.
As he prayed, I found myself fighting back tears. Here I was, thinking I was helping and encouraging him, and instead, he ended up encouraging me.
That simple moment reminded me that Spirit FM is so much more than a radio station. It’s a family of believers who genuinely care for one another and carry each other’s burdens in prayer.

We had a Mother’s Day Getaway contest where we had 125 nominations from people nominating a mom or mother-figure in their life who deserved a nice getaway and here were some of the nominations and our winner as well!

Honoring a Faithful Heart
We recently had the opportunity to surprise our longest-serving volunteer, Stacey, with some sweet treats as a small way to say thank you. Her reaction was priceless! Stacey has faithfully served this ministry for years, and her dedication, encouragement, and unwavering support have been a blessing to everyone at Spirit FM. Thank you, Mrs. Stacey, for your faithful service and for believing in the mission of this ministry. We are so grateful for you!
A Sweet Visit from a Faithful Listener
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming a special visitor to the Spirit FM office, Debbie, a long-time listener from Waynesboro. She stopped by to say hello and she didn’t come empty-handed! She brought some delicious sweet treats for our team, along with plenty of encouragement to go along with them.
Moments like these remind us that this ministry is about so much more than radio. It’s about the relationships God builds and the lives He touches every day through the message of hope shared on Spirit FM. Thank you, Debbie, for your kindness, encouragement, and faithful support. A Community of Compassion
On May 30, Spirit FM hosted our annual Diaper Drive, and the response was incredible! Across all six locations—Galax, Appomattox, Roanoke, Lynchburg, Pulaski, and Staunton/Waynesboro—our communities showed up in a big way to support local pregnancy centers. The generosity of our listeners was evident everywhere we looked, as donations poured in to help meet the needs of families and babies throughout the region. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this year’s Diaper Drive such a success. Together, we’re sharing the love of Christ in a practical and meaningful way.
