Amathus was also a major centre of worship dedicated to Aphrodite, the goddess of love, whose myth is deeply rooted in Cyprus as her birthplace from the sea. • Guided by our Les Clefs d’Or Concierge team, this journey in history brings the ancient ruins to life as you explore the remains of the ancient city set against the views of the Mediterranean.

Join cooking classes that show the basics of Cypriot cuisine using local ingredients and family recipes. Learn how to prepare well-known traditional reflecting the flavours and culture of the island. After the class, enjoy what you have prepared as part of a buffet, along with fresh salads and a selection of local dishes. ESSENCE OF CYPRUS Perfume has deep roots in Cyprus, with history that goes back thousands of years. At the archaeological site of Pyrgos, archaeologists have found traces of ancient perfume-making, including amphorae and vessels once used to store fragrant oils. Cyprus was known in antiquity for its scented oils, herbs, and resins, traded across the Mediterranean and valued for their quality and craftsmanship. At Parklane, this heritage is brought into a modern setting inspired by the island’s story of fragrance and artistry. Guided by a master perfumer from the Cyprus Perfumery Theme Park, guests are invited to explore the basics of scent creation in a workshop experience, set on the terrace of a Diamond Suite or in the setting of a Park Villa, surrounded by whispers of Mediterranean citrus and floral scents. Cyour preferred notes and blend them into your own signature perfume. The experience ends with a personalised bottle to take home, a simple reminder of Cyprus and its long tradition of scent.

DISCOVERING CHARMS Visit Lefkara Village, one of Cyprus’ most charming places, known for its lace, silver work, and traditional stone streets. Ledkara is also linked to Leonardo da Vinci, who is said to have visited Cyprus and taken Lefkara lace back to Italy for Milan Cathedral. This story reflects how far the village’s craft has travelled through history. Here, you will still find local artisans keeping these traditions alive, handmade lace, silver jewellery, small workshops, and quiet village cafés where life moves at a slower pace. A short journey from Parklane, Lefkara offers a simple and authentic glimpse into Cyprus’ living heritage.
