MICHAEL CITRON After many years of working in the real estate business, Michael decided that it was time to provide the public with the ultimate Parkland and South Florida real estate experience. Michael was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but has called South Florida home for most of his life. STEPHANIE CITRON Stephanie grew up in Parkland and Coral Springs and has been living here since she was 4 years old. She was a member of the second graduating class of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and is a proud to be an Eagle! Stephanie graduated from the University of Central Florida, but eventually moved back to her home town. Stephanie previously managed subsidized housing for mentally ill individuals and Veterans. She then became a licensed CAM Manager and managed Homeowner and Condominium Associations throughout Broward & Miami-Dade County. Stephanie currently resides in Heron Bay with her husband and two children. Her two children both attend Heron Heights Elementary School. Stephanie’s knowledge in the housing industry for the last 11 years provides insight to homeowners that can only come with experience. CITY NEWS As Parkland residents, we are uniquely interested in events that impact our city and its residents. This page is dedicated to informing Parkland’s community of news and issues that affect us all. No Modular Classrooms This Year
In an effort to improve the number of available classrooms in Parkland, an agreement was entered into to build 8 modular classrooms with money given by to city. Later, the number was reduced to 7 with Heron Heights Elementary getting 4 classrooms and Park Trails Elementary getting the remaining 3. Unfortunately, the school board failed to honor its promise that these modular classrooms would be operational within the city by August of this year. Accordingly, the city threatened to back out of the agreement if the modular classrooms are not ready for use before the start of the 2016-2017 school year. We will keep you posted on the progress of this situation as it continues to develop.
New Street Lights In Front Of North Entrance of Heron Bay
To make the trip to school safer for our children, Broward county is installing a street light outside the North entrance of Heron Bay. This should be completed before the beginning of the 2015 school year.
Extension of Lox Road
Good News! Lox Road has been extended to connect with 441. Now, Parkland residents have an easy route to North Broward County and into Boca Raton.
Expansion of Pine Trails Park
Whoo Hoo!! Parkland residents no longer have to drive all the way to Terramar Park for soccer games! Now, with the expansion of Pine Trails Park, the West side of Parkland will be able to participate in all sports including soccer that will be just minutes away.
