The Summer Selling Season is well underway. We have seen the inventory increase to near Pre-Covid numbers in Parkland. Although Parkland remains in an overall seller’s market we can see shifts to a buyer’s market in certain communities. Sellers in the area are not looking at the same seller-friendly market as last year, although we still see some record sales closing. Many of these sales were listed when the mortgage interest rates were closer to 3-4% instead of near 6% currently. Now, sellers have immediate competition in their neighborhoods and surrounding communities, and home sellers must have their homes stand out among the rest. It is imperative for homeowners to understand that the buyer pool has nearly 4 times the amount of properties to choose from since this time last year and who you hire to list your home matters more than ever!
