2022 collection

THOUGHTS FROM THE STUDIO Like many others, the last three years have felt almost surreal. It has given us time to pause, reflect and invest anew. We decided that in 2022 we would create a collection that reflects the love we have for the people and the world around us. Each paper is handmade with upcycled cotton. Each card is printed by hand on a vintage press. Each word is thoughtfully created for someone we love. At the end of the day, we wanted to create timeless pieces of art that could be a keepsake for generations to come. We hope they speak to you as much as they speak to us.

Lastly, we want to thank you for partnering with us in the last three years. Your support has helped our efforts to fight for human rights in the supply chain. After three years, we have been able to donate over $20K to anti-trafficking efforts. Thank you! We could not do it with out you!

Our letterpress studio is located in Ankeny, Iowa under the creative direction of the coffee-loving couple, Christy and Jon Marc Asper, since 2019. our mission At Paper Baristas, our mission is to create beautiful paper goods made by beautiful people for a beautiful cause. Our goal is to end modern day slavery in the paper supply chain one card at time. We do so by creating sustainable jobs for those at risk and giving back 10% to fight against human trafficking worldwide. Our Story | Their story This paper journey began from a deep desire for the founders to bring freedom to children who were suffering. At the time, Christy was a child welfare worker and Jon Marc was an engineer pursuing his PhD in Philosophy. Christy had become an activist in the fight against human trafficking after her childhood experiences of abuse. Art brought her freedom in places that felt dark and shameful. It occured to Christy one day that art could also bring freedom to others. It was then, that the couple committed to making a difference through the art of paper making and letterpress printing. Our SUSTAINABLE craftsmanship We thrive on creating one-of-a-kind keepsake paper goods that are meant to be treasured for a lifetime. Each upcycled cotton paper is hand lifted, naturally dyed, pressed, and dried in the sun with care creating unique deckled edges. Our products are printed in-house on a 1970s Heidelberg Windmill Press and with the highest quality of 100% upcycled cotton paper. Inks are hand mixed in our studio and pressed individually creating the slightest variations in the ink color and impressions. The combination births a beautiful and unique print on every single card. We hope that it makes each person receiving a Paper Baristas® card feel special in every way. ethical manufacturing Ethical manufacturing is the foundation of our business. We are thrilled to work with thoroughly vetted and consistently audited artisan partners to ensure that there is no slavery in our supply chain. Labor trafficking victims are frequently found in factories, but we are creating demand for slave free manufacturing by giving our business to factories that adhere to fair trade principles. We also donate to the International Justices Missions to ensure that labor laws continue to be enforced worldwide.

Our products are printed in-house with a vintage press and the highest quality of 100% upcycled cotton paper. The combination births a beautiful impression on each card. The quality of our handmade products is of extreme importance to us. Prior to delivery, every product is inspected to insure that it meets our standards. Please note, that letterpress printing is an antique form of printing inwhich all inks are hand mixed in our studio and pressed individually. There will be slight variations in the ink color and impression. In addition, each upcycled paper is handmade by artisans. Each sheet is hand lifted, naturally colored, pressed, and dried in the sun with care. There will be slight variations in the color of the paper. We believe these slight variations, make each card a one-of-a-kind keepsake. All of our products must be sold in their original packaging.

Orders can be placed on-line, via email or by phone. Orders ship prepaid by credit card, Paypal, wire or ACH transfer. Exsisting customers may request for Net 30 terms. Key accounts can inquire about Net 60 terms. Late payments incur a 10% late fee per month. Please reach out to us if you are having difficult making a payment. The remainder of your order will continue to ship unless otherwise directed. Once in stock (typcially within 3 weeks), twe will ship it immediately free of charge. All backordered items will be invoiced at the time of the original purchase order. packaging All products are packaged in the most sustainable/ fair trade material available. Cards are sleeved in biodegradeable material. Retailers may request to receive cards without sleeves. Stickers are not used at this time due to the nature our cards and the lack of fair trade representation. We are working on continuously improving our packaging to be both sustainable for the earth and for the people working behind the scenes creating the packaging.

Returns, exchanges, cancellations Your satisfaction is important to us. Please report any incorrectly shipped items, returns or exchanges within five days via email to info@paperbaristas. com. All products must be returned unused and in their original packaging. Any orders placced through Faire must be returned through Faire's proper return channel. Product images Product images are available for retailers to use to market our products. Images published online must always state: "created by Paper Baristas®". Online publications also include Pinterest Pins. Selling platforms Once approved as a retailer, you may only sell on the URL that is submitted and approved through your wholesale application. Accounts may not utilize national/global selling platforms, including but not limited to Amazon.com, Ebay.com, ETSY, Walmart. com, JET, Shoptique, etc..
