We know you want unrivalled financial security and complete confidence that your money is in the right hands — and our ATOL-approved gives you just that. The list goes on.
The truth is, booking a luxury or ultraluxury cruise has been too difficult for too long, with archaic phone systems, multiple points of contact and significant amounts of time spent on hold. We take away all the fuss and put pleasure back at the centre of the process. We give you the luxury booking experience your luxury cruise deserves.
Our brilliant cruise connoisseurs are the lifeblood of Panache Cruises. They’re well-travelled, like-minded cruise fans, each a specialist in a different destination or type of cruise.
Some are hardy souls who prefer the adrenaline of an expedition cruise; others are laid-back and choose the luxury ocean life, relaxing on a cabana with a cold drink in their hand. All of them are lovely, engaging and willing to do whatever it takes to get your dream holiday booked.
You’ll only ever be assigned one cruise connoisseur. They’ll get to know you, understand exactly what you’re looking for and make personalised recommendations based on what you like. On average, each connoisseur has around 10 years of experience each, and between them they’ve got well over 100 years! The devil is in the detail, Nothing is too much trouble — however you want to say it — everything is taken care of with your luxury cruise booking by our cruise connoisseurs.

“This was a trip of a lifetime and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone but Uniworld. They go above and beyond and have the most amazing and knowledgeable guides.”
– Kristin D,
JANUARY 2024
We understand that potential travellers may have reservations about visiting Egypt at the moment. However, Egypt remains an incredibly safe destination. To ease your concerns, we’ve highlighted some of the positive experiences our guests have enjoyed recently. Each week, numerous guests return from Egypt, having had the time of their lives. With Egypt operating as normal, now is a fantastic time to visit and explore this beautiful and historic country.
Our journey to Egypt with Uniworld was nothing less than spectacular! My husband and I were so impressed from start to finish as Uniworld made everything so easy in their attention to detail. We loved how there was a Uniworld Rep waiting for us as we got off the plane, he guided us through the immigration process, helped us retrieve our luggage and then took us outside where a vehicle and driver were waiting. The Four Seasons was a wonderful hotel and then when our actual tour began it was just perfection on Uniworld's part. There was only 56 guests aboard the S.S. Sphinx and we were all treated so well. In all honesty, we could not find one single thing that we could fault Uniworld on. The decor, food, entertainment and staff on the ship were all amazing. We has a wonderful Egyptologist to guide us by the name of Sabaa. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and simply a terrific human being. We saw everything in Egypt that we had hoped to see and the icing on the cake was Uniworld getting us into Grand Egyptian Museum (they are currently only allowing 300 visitors per day as it is not fully open yet), which was incredible! Uniworld also hosted a farewell dinner on the ship as well as a farewell dinner at the Four Seasons. The talk amongst our group was all 100% positive in how great Uniworld was and we can't wait for our next journey with them.
Sandra F, APRIL 2025
Itinerary was fabulous. Some very early starts, but worth it to beat the crowds and the heat. We (two female friends) felt very safe through the entire trip. Lots of security at the hotel and all tourist sites, along with our own security officer (professional and discreet) who travelled with us to all major sites. Not a single complaint! Spring Tours (the company who coordinates the Uniworld tours whilst in Egypt) did an outstanding job. A true bucket-list destination, and this tour helped me tick that box
Janet O, APRIL 2025
The trip was amazing! Can’t say enough about all the wonderful sites and history! As usual Uniworld was superb. The Egyptologist was friendly, knowlegeable, and accommodating. The Sphinx ship was beautiful. The crew was super helpful and responsive as usual. Sadly the Middle East situation has severely affected Egypt’s tourism. However, we felt perfectly safe. There was no sign of any conflict at all. We’re so glad we made the trip. It’s one thing to read about temples and pyramids, but quite another to see everything in person.
Trusted Customer, MAY 2025
Totally enjoyed our trip on the Nile . So many amazing sites to see. I have a new appreciation for Egypt . The ship was beautiful and food excellent. Very fast paced to be able to see all the sites. Our guide Samey was amazing and his knowledge and love of his country really added to our experience. We felt perfectly safe and well cared for the entire journey. We would recommend this trip to friends and family. The staff from the Uniworld staff from the airport pick up through the airport drop off were amazing and met all our needs .We will utilise Uniworld again for sure.
Trusted Customer, MAY 2025

The stars of our trip, our 100% Egyptian crew and certified Egyptologist guides will give you a fun and insightful feel for Egypt’s past and present. They bring personalized service at every opportunity, with thoughtful touches to make every guest feel special. And with a maximum guest-to-staff ratio of 1.4-to-1, you’ll never want for anything.

“From our first moment boarding the ship, they greeted us with the words ‘welcome home.’ Every one of the staff were focused on the guests. Exceptional service from all departments!”
– Debra A, DECEMBER 2023
Having a local guide whose entire life passion has been studying the very place you are touring makes a world of difference. Every member of the team is a certified Egyptologist, a designation that requires at least 12 years of schooling on the subject. They aren’t only available on tours either—they join you at the hotel in Cairo and onboard the ship.

“The gigantic Temple of Abu Simbel was about to be covered by water when the High Dam was built. Join us to learn the challenge of saving that one-of-the-kind temple by modern Egyptians in 1965.”

“Egypt is not just the land of the pharaohs, it is the landof the Egyptians! Join me onboard the S.S. Sphinx, and there I will tell you the true story.”

“Uniworld ships are one of the few vessels that sail all the way to Dendera Temple with its incredible blue ceiling. The golden sunset while sailing there with the west bank of the Nile backdrop is stunning.”

This sprawling temple complex was expanded multiple times across several dynasties, each leaving its own unique footprints. The most astounding feature here is the Great Hypostyle Hall—an imposing forest of 134 enormous sandstone columns in the form of papyrus stalks.

The Valley of the Kings was the final resting place for many of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs and has been the source of much of our understanding of Egyptian mythology and burial rites. Rameses II, Thutmose III, and the boy king Tutankhamun and more were entombed here.

These two gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III are each 60 feet tall and depict the pharaoh sitting on his throne, gazing east to watch the rising sun. The statues guard the entrance to Amenhotep III’s Mortuary Temple in the Theban Necropolis.

Few names of the ancient world evoke the mystery, myth and majesty of Luxor. Here, in the ancient capital of Thebes, you’ll find yourself wondering through the gates of antiquity, amongst towering temple columns and stone-faced colossi, feeling history’s pulse with every step. Our Egyptologists will provide story and context to bring the legendary past to living, breathing life.

One of Egypt’s rare female pharaohs, Hatshepsut is considered by historians to have been one of the most successful rulers of ancient Egypt. Both the setting and the construction of her temple make it unique among the landmarks of Egypt; built into the face of steep cliffs at the basin, the temple is made of limestone instead of sandstone, unlike any other funerary temples of the New Kingdom period. Hatshepsut’s successor, Thutmose III, attempted to remove her name from the temple during his reign.

Did you know that the modern city of Luxor was once the ancient city of Thebes? Considered the greatest “open-air museum” in the world, Luxor is densely clustered with temples and burial sites. The Temple of Luxor was the largest religious centre in ancient Egypt. We bring our guests to this temple in the evening, when they can watch the temple transform in the light of the setting sun, and then glow as the lights are switched on for the night.

“Probably the most important factor is the incredible quality of the Egyptologist guide who held our hands throughout the entire vacation. True door-to-door coverage. Nothing like having a college professor specializing in ancient Egyptian history as a guide through Egypt!”
– James K, JANUARY 2023

Think of Egypt, and the first image that comes to your mind is likely the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. It’s the pièce de résistance of a well-rounded journey through Egypt, which is why we include it at the end of our time together for a spectacular finish.

The legendary pyramids of Giza are the oldest - and only remaining - of the traditional Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. See them close up today, even with your guide to assist.

With the body of a crouching lion and the head of a man, the Great Sphinx is the largest monolith statue in the world. Its familiar face is a greeting to anyone visiting the Giza Necropolis.

The prototype for all Egyptian pyramids, the Step Pyramid of Djoser in the nearby town of Sakkara has an interesting history, being the world’s first pyramid.

Located in the hills above Cairo, the citadel was the home of Egypt’s rulers for more than 700 years and is one of the oldest attractions in the city. Though the views alone would make this site worth a visit, it’s filled with museums, mosques, palaces, and more.

By far the most impressive collection of Egyptian antiquities and pharaonic treasures in the world, the museum displays an astonishing number of objects ranging from around 3100 BCE until Alexander the Great conquered the country in 332 BCE.

The masterpiece of the Citadel is the great Alabaster Mosque, also known as the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. The mosque’s expansive Turkish-style interior is lit by a beautiful array of lamps suspended from the intricately decorated ceiling.

Start and end your time in Egypt with a stay in the bustling city of Cairo, where centuries of Roman, Arabic, and Ottoman architecture are juxtaposed against modern resorts and skyscrapers, and bazaars beckon from twisting alleyways.

“It was the trip of a lifetime! The Splendours of Egypt have to be seen to be truly appreciated, and the Uniworld experience highlighted some of the best Egypt had to offer, all in a luxurious setting.”
– Janice K, FEBRUARY 2024
Many visitors to Egypt don’t make their way past Cairo and Giza, but a fuller picture of Ancient Egyptian history awaits just a bit further south at the sites along the Nile River.
The impressive Temple of Hathor was dedicated to the goddess of love and beauty. It dates to Egypt’s Ptolemaic era, when the heirs of Alexander the Great ruled over Egypt, and features a rare bas-relief of Cleopatra with Caesarion, the son she bore to Julius Caesar.
The Kom Ombo Temple, unlike most ancient Egyptian temples, is dedicated to two gods—the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus the Elder. Several of the 300 crocodile mummies discovered in the vicinity are displayed inside the temple.
Visit the Unfinished Obelisk, an abandoned project of Queen Hats hepsut, and the beautiful Philae Temple complex. Originally situated on the island of Philae, it was painstakingly transferred to the island of Agilkia after the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
Buried under debris for many centuries, the Late Roman Temple of Esna is just a short walk from the ship through the local market. It dates from the Ptolemaic and Roman periods (180 BCE to 251 CE) and is one of the last Egyptian temples ever built.

“As promised, the cruise provided an excellent overview of the Nile River valley and the incredible ancient temples located there. It was an excellent, comfortable and enjoyable way to tour the area.”
– Fred M, FEBRUARY 2024

And the food was outstanding! Such a pleasure to have fresh fruit and vegetables all the time and experience the Egyptian cuisine.”

The Alabaster Mosque (included in Cairo) is the only instance where guests are required to dress modestly; this means having legs and shoulders fully covered. The Alabaster Mosque also requires guests to either remove shoes or buy shoe covers at the entrance.
Egypt has a varied desert climate, meaning days range from warm to hot and sunny. During the winter months, mornings and evenings can be cold. To maximize comfort for our guests, we do not travel between the peak summer months of June and August.
WHY ARE THE EXCURSIONS EARLY?
Due to high temperatures in the middle of the day, conducting tours in the early morning is essential to ensure the safety and comfort of all participating guests. Expect early morning wake-up times and relaxing sailing afternoons. This approach aligns with our commitment to delivering an enjoyable and pleasant touring experience.
SHOULD I BRING MY COUNTRY’S CURRENCY, OR WILL I NEED TO CONVERT MONEY?
The official currency is the Egyptian Pound (E£). The USD ($) and the Euro (€) are also widely used, and major credit cards will be accepted in many places. If you plan on exchanging currency while in Egypt, we highly recommend only using banks, as rates are fixed and controlled by the government, and keeping all receipts for exchanged currency.
Casual dress during the day and smart casual for dinner is recommended. For protection from the sun, we suggest you pack a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and full-coverage clothing in light fabrics such as linen and cotton. Good, sturdy walking shoes are best for the uneven ground and steps at historic sites. You may want to bring a swimsuit for the sun deck pool. If traveling in winter, bring a jacket for early morning excursions, when the weather can be in the 50s and 60s °F. Laundry service is available onboard for a fee, or included for Royal Suite guests.
Our Egypt itinerary is considered one of our most active programs. You should be in good health and able to walk significant distances, often on unpaved or uneven terrain and up and down stairs.
