Driving Pro AV Efficiency with Cue Clickers and Laser Pointers by Bhavani Raj, Marketing Director, Shenzhen Super Cue Technology
In the modern age of governance, effective communication is central to leadership. Recognising this, Erthpot had the privilege of designing and executing a professional conference room audio system at C. R. Patil, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Government of India. The goal was to create a space where discussions remain clear, productive, and confidential, blending advanced technology with dignified aesthetics.
The challenge was to provide an integrated conferencing solution that offered flawless speech clarity, user-friendly operation, and consistent coverage. The system needed to serve formal discussions, highlevel meetings, and private deliberations with equal efficiency.
To achieve this, Erthpot deployed 14 NCS 5D Delegate Unit Conference Microphones, 1 NCS 5C Chairman Unit Conference Microphone, 2 ACS-925iD Integrated Column Networked Loudspeakers, and 1 Keyer DSP 88D Digital Signal Processor.
The NCS 5D Delegate Units were installed across the conference table to give each participant a dedicated, high-quality microphone. This not only eliminated the struggle of audibility but also ensured orderly discussions, as each delegate had an individual channel to contribute clearly.
At the head of the table, the NCS 5C Chairman Unit provided enhanced functionality,
allowing the Minister to preside over discussions with priority control. This feature proved vital in maintaining meeting flow and ensuring structured conversations.
For sound reinforcement, Erthpot integrated two ACS-925iD column loudspeakers. Their slim design allowed discreet placement, blending seamlessly with the room’s interiors while delivering powerful, evenly distributed sound. These networked loudspeakers ensured that every word was heard with clarity, depth, and natural tone.
At the core of the system lies the Keyer DSP 88D, which handled advanced signal routing, equalization, and feedback suppression. By fine-tuning the acoustic environment, the DSP guaranteed an immersive yet controlled audio experience—whether for small team discussions or official deliberations.
• Crystal-Clear Communication: Each participant benefits from direct microphone access, ensuring no voice goes unheard.
• Leadership Control: The Chairman Unit empowered the Minister with streamlined discussion management.
• Uniform Sound Distribution: The ACS925iD loudspeakers provided balanced coverage without overpowering the room.
• Intelligent Processing: The Keyer DSP 88D optimised the entire setup for clarity, stability, and adaptability.
• Elegant Integration: All components were installed in harmony with the premium conference room interiors.

The newly built conference room has transformed the way official discussions are conducted. From structured dialogues to confidential policy discussions, the system enables uninterrupted, professional communication that reflects the stature of its environment.
By combining conference microphones, networked loudspeakers, and digital processing, Erthpot has created a high-performance, future-ready conference system at C. R. Patil, Union Minister of Jal Shakti. This project stands as a shining example of Erthpot’s ability to deliver tailored, professional audio solutions that serve leaders and institutions with unmatched reliability and clarity.

With Indian pro AV market becoming one of the fastestgrowing markets globally, companies like Datapath are an integral part of the big change. In this brief interview with AV-ICN Expo Magazine, Andy Lee, Senior International Sales Manager, Datapath addresses how Datapath is capturing the Indian pro AV market with its high-end AV solutions and exponential market strategies. Lee also points out Datapath’s crucial partnership with Mindtsec Distribution for the Indian market and their role in expanding the brand’s key market solutions.
1. With India identified as the fastestgrowing Pro AV market in APAC, what strategic moves is Datapath prioritising to capitalise on that growth?
We’ve done very well in India over the past few years, and our partnership with Mindstec Distribution has been instrumental in expanding our presence. Alongside that, our new products have enabled us to capture more market share and enter new verticals. The continued development of our Aetria solution as we enter into AVover-IP and KVM-based solutions, will drive further growth. These are exciting times for us.
2. Are there any specific market challenges that Datapath sees in the Indian pro AV market? How is the brand strategising itself to overcome these challenges?
We’re often seen as a high-end brand, largely because of our quality and reliability. Naturally, this comes at a higher cost, and India can be a pricesensitive market in certain verticals. Our focus is on demonstrating that quality
and reliability are worth the investment. Rather than reducing features to cut prices, we emphasise the long-term value that our solutions deliver.
3. Datapath has been active at InfoComm India with some of its solutions like Aetria – how do you assess the demand for control room solutions like these within India?

We work through Mindstec, our authorised partner and distributor, whose wide network of system integrators, consultants, and indirect access to end-users is invaluable. Events like InfoComm give us the chance to meet these stakeholders face-toface, strengthen relationships, and share our ideas directly with the market and get feedback from it.
4. Could you walk us through the capabilities and market positioning of Aetria, especially features that are resonating strongly with Indian customers?
Datapath is well known for video wall processors, capture cards, and graphics cards – all highly reliable and trusted by the industry. Aetria builds on that foundation by adding more functionality. For example, it has introduced redundancy for
the first time, offering its own encoders and receivers, and allowing operators to securely manage sources in a rack room. With Aetria Workstation software, operators can control multiple PCs via a single keyboard and mouse, giving them far greater flexibility and control.
5. Speaking of Datapath’s high-end product portfolio, can you share how does the VSNMini 300 enhance Datapath’s offering for smaller-scale applications in India?
The VSN Mini 300 has two main functions. It can serve as a compact video wall controller with up to three card slots, mak-
ing it ideal for boardrooms or reception areas. It can also be used as an operator workstation PC. In combination with our Aligo capture card, it brings KVM Aligo streams into the operator environment. It’s a flexible, compact, and quiet hardware option for smaller setups.
6. How are automation and operational efficiency trends shaping the demand for Datapath’s control room solutions in India and other APAC markets?
There’s a strong demand for visualising company data whether on dashboards, SCADA applications, or other platforms. Our solutions enable companies to centralise and interact with that data, whether it’s displayed on a video wall, LED wall, or projector. This flexibility makes Datapath’s offering relevant for control rooms, industrial sites, data centres, and automation environments.
7. Could you describe Datapath’s approach to its partner network in India, particularly the role of distributors like Mindstec or system integrators and local partners?
We work exclusively with Mindstec
Distribution, which helps us centralise training and support through a single contact point. After 10 years of collaboration, their expertise has been critical. Events across India and open days at their experience centre give us access not only to systems integrators and consultants but also to end-users. This feedback loop helps us refine the roadmap and continuously improve our solutions.
8. From your interactions with customers in India, which pro AV segments like government, corporate, education, or command-control centres, do you feel are showing the strongest traction for Datapath?
Defence is a promising segment, though it takes longer to mature. Corporate is also strong, particularly as more companies look to centralise AV-over-IP capabilities across their premises. For instance, even smaller setups with security rooms, reception areas, and boardrooms benefit from Datapath’s solutions. Additionally, data centres and network operation centres are emerging as major opportunities for us.
9. What long-term growth targets or

vision do you have for the Indian pro AV market over the next 3–5 years?
Our focus is on expanding into more cities, hosting local events with Mindstec, and increasing training and education in the market. These initiatives will raise awareness of what we can offer and strengthen partner support.
There are also some exciting developments coming for our solutions like Aetria while at InfoComm India, we have already introduced the Aligo capture card, the VSN Mini 300, and the Aetria touch panel, which were showcased for the first time in the country.
10. Are emerging use cases like smart cities or digital infrastructure projects driving new demand for Datapath solutions in India?
Smart cities have always been an important focus, and now, with the expanded capabilities of Aetria, we can play a larger role in such projects. Airports are another major growth area in India, and our solutions are well positioned to support their increasing requirements.

5. Could you elaborate more on 4EVAC’s cutting-edge VACIE solutions? How is the brand aligning its VACIE solutions for the Indian audience?
From projection mapping on historic monuments to interactive exhibitions in cultural spaces, audiences today want to step inside the narrative rather than just watch it. This special feature shared by Rishubh Nayar, Sales Director for India, Christie Digital, highlights how this convergence of art and technology is not just enriching culture but also unlocking powerful new economic opportunities, positioning India at the forefront of immersive storytelling worldwide.

Contributor: Rishubh Nayar, Sales Director for India, Christie Digital
India has always been a land of stories. From the grand epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata to the timeless traditions of dance, folk theatre, and cinema, storytelling has shaped how we share culture, history, and identity. But today, storytelling looks very different from even a decade ago. Audiences no longer want to view stories through traditional formats. They want to step inside the narrative, to feel moved by it, and to be completely immersed in the moment.
This transformation is not just cultural but economic. In 2023, India’s
immersive technology market was valued at USD 1.26 billion, and is projected to soar to USD 7.82 billion by 2030, growing at nearly 30% annually. Alongside, immersive content creation is expected to quadruple in value over the same period. Clearly, the appetite and opportunity for new ways of storytelling have never been greater.
Across the country, museums, festivals, heritage sites, and even shopping malls are reimagining themselves through projection mapping, AR/VR, and largescale installations. From light-and-sound shows at historic monuments to interactive exhibitions in malls, immersive storytelling
is rapidly redefining cultural spaces, blending art and technology into unforgettable experiences.
Creating immersive experiences in India is an exciting opportunity, but it doesn’t come without challenges. For many cultural institutions and organisers, the first obstacle is often the budget. Immersive technology is still perceived as more costly than more traditional formats.
Even when resources are available, technology is frequently introduced too late in the process. Creative directors may shape
their vision first and bring technologists in only at the execution stage. This mismatch often results in higher costs, compromised outcomes, or experiences that flatter to deceive.
Infrastructure adds another layer of complexity. From centuries-old temples to intimate galleries and bustling openair spaces, India’s cultural landscape is as diverse as its stories. Each venue presents its own technical demands, requiring solutions that are flexible, lightweight, and able to adapt to challenging environments without compromising impact.
Finally, awareness remains a significant hurdle. Many decision-makers still view immersive projection, AR, or interactive installations as “nice-to-have” additions rather than powerful storytelling tools capable of transforming audience engagement.
The solution lies in rethinking how projects are planned. This starts with a simple yet powerful four-pillar framework: space, budget, audience, and timeline. By evaluating these factors and involving technology partners early in the creative process, creators can ensure that vision and feasibility move in step, saving both
4EVAC
time and resources.
When technology is treated as a creative partner, entirely new formats emerge, whether that’s AR overlays during a heritage walk, digital recreations of folk art, or immersive festival installations that blend tradition with innovation.
Equally important are solutions tailored to India’s diverse environments. For instance, compact and omnidirectional systems can elevate audience experiences. Through improved brightness, colour accuracy, power requirements, and form factor, audience experiences are natural and true-to-life whether the space is a limited gallery, an outdoor festival, or the uneven surfaces of historic architecture.
We’ve already seen how immersive technology is transforming storytelling in India. At Khajuraho, projection mapping has brought ancient temples to life. Lightand-sound shows are redefining heritage tourism, while digital art exhibitions attract younger audiences to museums. Festivals, too, are blending folklore with modern visuals, proving how technology can

protocol. These systems are fully compliant with EN54 standards, ensuring safety and reliability for Indian applications.
6. Can Indian customers and integrators expect the availability of products like the brand’s IMPACT Voice Alarm System and other key solutions as a result of this collaboration? What timeline are you looking at for product launches?
Indian customers will now have full access to the complete product range, including IMPACT SW, IMPACT MM, and Compact 500. We are working closely with Alphatec, our trusted partner in India, and I’m happy to share that they are already active in the market and fully trained to support these solutions.
7. What unique challenges does the Indian market present for voice alarm systems, and how is 4EVAC adapting to meet these challenges?
India’s diversity in building types, regulatory frameworks, and environmental
conditions requires flexible, scalable, and robust systems. 4EVAC addresses this with modular hardware, redundant networking, and remote monitoring tools. Our systems are designed to adapt to local codes, support long cable runs, and operate reliably in high-load environments.
8. Can you tell us more about any recent technological innovations or flagship products that 4EVAC has launched or is working on?
Our flagship innovations include the LoopDrive system with Fault Isolator Modules (FIM), the MAZE IP audio platform supporting up to 250 BGM channels, and the i-MATRIX DSP audio router. These technologies enable real-time monitoring, lossless audio streaming, and multi-zone control, setting new standards in VACIE performance.
9. What’s 4EVAC’s vision for the future of voice alarm and evacuation systems, particularly in smart cities, large infra-
preserve culture, bridge generations, and captivate audiences in ways traditional formats cannot. The annual Ayodhya Deepotsav celebration is one such example.
As demand for immersive experiences continues to rise, the way forward lies in collaboration and accessibility. Artists, technologists, and cultural institutions must work together, aligning creative ambition with technical expertise to reimagine how stories are told. Expanding immersive spaces beyond metros into Tier2 cities will make these experiences more inclusive and further fuel the appetite for innovation.
Sustainability is just as important. Energy-efficient RGB laser projection, for instance, can save nearly 20 GWH of electricity annually, making immersive installations more environmentally viable and financially practical over the long term.
India is uniquely positioned to lead in this space. With its rich storytelling heritage, government support for smart tourism and digital preservation, and audiences hungry for new experiences, the country has the potential to become a global hub for immersive cultural tourism and next-generation art.
structure, and integrated safety spaces in India?
We envision fully integrated, networked voice alarm systems that support smart building automation, real-time evacuation control, and multi-site audio distribution. Our systems are built to scale with India’s infrastructure growth, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in smart cities, airports, metros, and commercial complexes.
10. How does 4EVAC approach compliance with varying safety standards across different segments, particularly as the brand enters India?
Compliance is at the core of our design philosophy. All 4EVAC products are third-party certified to EN54 standards, including EN54-4, EN54-16, EN54-17 , and EN54-24 . We also support local adaptations and work with partners to ensure regulatory alignment, training, and documentation for smooth certification in India.

Effortless Integration with Microso Teams® and Zoom Rooms™ Room Control

India’s professional AV industry has been undergoing a remarkable technological evolution in recent years. The surge in experiential technologies and seamless connectivity has redefined how systems integrators and AV consultants approach project delivery across sectors such as corporate, education, government, hospitality, and retail. Today’s clients demand solutions that are not only technologically sophisticated but also scalable, sustainable, and centred around immersive experiences.
Recognising this dynamic shift and the growing strategic role of AV professionals, AV-ICN Expo Magazine proudly presents its special edition featuring the “Top 50 Systems Integrators and AV Consultants in India.”
This curated list celebrates the professionals who are no longer just technical solution providers, but strategic partners shaping the future of AV infrastructure in the country.
The editorial team has adopted a comprehensive evaluation approach — one that reflects the increasingly blurred lines between system integration and consultancy. With many integrators offering consultancy services and vice versa, our selection is based on the merit of accomplished projects, and the impact these experts have made in design, engineering, and execution across varied domains.
The listing showcases companies that are delivering excellence across the spectrum. While some firms are executing high-impact, large-scale AV installations, others are making significant contributions through comparatively smaller, specialised projects. Regardless of size, each company featured has demonstrated a strong commitment to integrating cutting-edge AV technologies, adhering to industry best practices, and enhancing user experiences — earning their place among the top 50.
For over three years, AV-ICN Expo Magazine has been a trusted source of insights, trends, and innovations in India’s pro AV ecosystem. Through this feature, we aim not only to spotlight 50 standout companies driving AV excellence, but also to showcase the broader wave of innovation and growth that these firms represent.
Each company on the list exemplifies the evolving role of AV professionals. By highlighting their achievements, we also reflect the momentum and ingenuity propelling India’s AV integration and consultancy landscape forward.
What clients really want isn’t more AV—they want fewer problems. Simpler meetings. Systems that just work. Over the last 25+ years, O2K has evolved to meet that need not just through technology, but through the way we think about integration.
At O2K, integration doesn’t begin with hardware. It begins with questions. What is this space trying to do? Who’s going to use it? And how to make that experience effortless?
Meeting those expectations isn’t about promises—it’s about structure, ownership, and follow-through. And that’s exactly where O2K sets itself apart.
INTEGRATION BUILT ON OWNERSHIP
O2K doesn’t outsource accountability. Every piece of the project, from the first design to final support, sits with one team, under one roof. No thirdparty handoffs. No ambiguity. Just clear ownership.
That clarity has allowed the company to deliver over 7000 AV projects across industries and geographies. Clients like Capgemini, DuPont, HUL, EY, PWC, TomTom and IIT-M have worked with them not just for years, but for decades because they know what they build lasts, and they’ll be there when it counts.
FOR SCALE.
O2K’s reach spans India. The company has scaled carefully, not just in numbers, but in depth. Their 189-member team includes AVIXA CTS-certified and Crestron MastersCertified, a rare credential in India, alongside solution architects, developers, and support engineers — each aligned with a consistent standard of technical and delivery excellence.
DESIGN TO DAILY USE: END-TO-END, IN PRACTICE
Nearly 98% of their projects start with an in-house design because design done right saves time, reduces risk, and sets the foundation for great user experiences.

The brand aligns rooms with real behaviors. Map out infrastructure in detail. Anticipate bottlenecks. And then follow through with tight implementation and post-deployment care.
Our SLAs aren’t just numbers on paper— they’re tracked daily through structured checklists and automated reporting. Uptime is measured. Issues are pre-empted. Support is transparent.
But designing great systems isn’t enough. They still need to function flawlessly—day after day, across teams and locations. That’s where our focus on operational clarity comes in.
O2K has never been just about deployment. The company believes integration must serve not only today’s needs, but also the industry’s future. That belief led the company to build:
The Beyonders Centre – An INAVATE APAC award-winning AV lab where clients can experience real-world setups across use cases—from training rooms and digital signages to immersive projection and hybrid-ready meeting rooms. This isn’t a mock-up space. It’s a working environment where clients test before they invest.
The Crestron Sightline Room – Built in collaboration with Crestron, Shure, and Samsung, this space showcases platform-native collaboration, AI-powered camera switching, and intuitive voice tracking. It has also been used to demonstrate real-time collaboration with Crestron’s Bangalore facility–bridging two cities in a single meeting experience.
Over 40 of our team members have stayed more than five years. 22 have stayed over ten. That kind of tenure is rare in our industry—and it reflects something deeper. At O2K, people don’t just deliver— they shape what they build. Engineers help develop tools. Designers evolve workflows. The team doesn’t just run training— they run an academy. They don’t manage careers—they grow people into leaders.
That same commitment to culture is shaped at the top. Our CEO, Ms. Prabha Lakshmi, is an AVIXA Women’s Council member, a recipient of the AVIXA Women in AV Award, and the Crestron Paramount Achievement Award. Her leadership reflects a larger vision—of inclusion, mentorship, and sustained technical excellence—not just within O2K, but across the AV industry.
The stability created inside the company has allowed them to respond with clarity when the world outside becomes more volatile.
Being a system integrator is not about what you install—it’s about what your client trusts you with. Their time. Their spaces. Their teams.
O2K doesn’t see itself as a vendor. They see themselves as long-term partners who make systems work—not just at handover, but in the times that follow.
That’s what they’ve built for 25 years and that’s what they’ll keep delivering.
That’s what makes O2K a system integrator.

An Exclusive Deep Dive with Harish A K, Senior General Manager – Visual Products, Epson India
As projection technology takes centre stage in India’s rapidly evolving pro AV market, Epson continues to push the boundaries with its cutting-edge solutions. In this exclusive conversation with the AV-ICN Expo Magazine team, Harish A K, Senior General Manager – Visual Products at Epson, sheds light on the brand’s innovation-driven approach, customer-centric strategies, and its role in shaping the next phase of immersive projection experiences across the country.
1. We noticed Epson took more than 200 sqm of the booth area at InfoComm, would you like to share more on your experience at the show?
This year at InfoComm India 2025, our focus was on solutions rather than standalone products. In any AV project, the projector typically accounts for just 20–30%, while the rest is driven by additional components. So, we showcased how Epson can deliver end-to-end solutions including it’s high-brightness projectors, ultra-shortthrow models, or integrated setups.
The entire booth reflected this shift toward solution-based demonstrations. For example, we partnered with Atom, a European company, to create a portable solution combining Epson projectors with a mobile device that integrates speakers, microphones, and lenses. It’s compact yet versatile, ideal for applications such as golf simulators, which are rapidly gaining popularity in India. We also showcased solutions for virtual apartment demos where real estate companies can project a life-size model of an apartment in their office, giving visitors a realistic walkthrough experience.
Epson’s command centre solutions also cater to defence and IT sectors, where multiple windows and data sources need to be displayed on one
screen. For golf simulators, Epson collaborated with a golf technology company. Across the board, we’re working with thirdparty partners to bring complete solutions to customers.
2. Epson showcased its latest 4K projection technologies at InfoComm 2025. How do you see these innovations reshaping applications in India across education, corporate, and large-venue segments?
In education, we differentiate between K-12 and higher education. For K-12, cost constraints often lead to choices like interactive projectors or flat panels. But in higher education like engineering or medical colleges with large classrooms, highbrightness laser projectors are becoming the standard. Customers are moving away from lamp-based models of 5,000 hours of life to laser projectors that last up to 40,000 hours, which is roughly 8–10 years of use with minimal maintenance.
Corporates, on the other hand, are investing in flat panels up to 86 inches. Beyond that size, projectors make more sense, both practically and aesthetically. In both education and corporate spaces, we see a global trend where decision-making is influenced by international headquarters.

Overall, while the volume of projector sales has stagnated, the demand for midand high-end projectors is rising, leading to higher revenues despite fewer units being sold.
3. Would you say education and government remain top priorities?
Yes. However, government procurement largely happens through the GEM (Government e-Marketplace) platform, which functions like an “Amazon for government purchases.” We sell about 4,000–5,000 mid- and high-end projectors annually through GEM. While there is huge potential in ICT-enabled classrooms across India’s 1.5 million schools, the challenge is funding allocation. Only about 20% of schools are adopting ICT solutions, while the remaining 80% are still catching up on basic infrastructure.
4. With the rise of immersive environments and hybrid workspaces, what design priorities are driving Epson’s next-gen projection portfolio for the Indian market?
Immersive display solutions are a major growth area, particularly in museums, heritage sites, and cultural venues. Projection mapping in places like Varanasi or on the Adiyogi statue highlights how demand is growing for high-brightness projectors (7,000–20,000 lumens). Over the past two years, this segment has delivered strong revenues, and we expect similar growth in the next three to four years.

With Sennheiser’s recent celebration of completing 80 years in the industry, AV-ICN Expo Magazine team gets in touch with Naveen Sridhara, Directors of Sales, Sennheiser, during InfoComm India 2025 to explore more on the brand’s latest pro AV solutions and its next steps in the Indian pro AV market.
1. What latest innovations did the brand showcase at InfoComm India?
We demonstrated two solutions at InfoComm India this time – Team Connect Bar and VoiceLift using Team Connect Ceiling 2 microphones, key technologies in our comprehensive suite of unified communication solutions designed for conference rooms and lecture halls.
In venues where there’s no need of headphone, mic, or handheld mic, the ceiling mic picks up the voice automatically. With it’s automatic dynamic beam forming, it can look at who is speaking in the room, pick up the audio and send a trigger to the microphone. It can be recorded or shown up on a bigger screen. Therefore, we call it the touchless audio. That’s what we showcased once again at the show with frequent enhancements to our solutions.
We also introduced an Intelligence Noise Control technology wherein, any unwanted noise can be eliminated at the microphone level itself.
5. From a sales and marketing perspective, how is Epson positioning itself in India?
Globally, Epson has been the No.1 projector brand for 25 years, and in India we’ve held that leadership for over 15 years, with a 49% market share. While the overall projector market is not expanding rapidly, our strategy is to focus on mid- and high-end value products and increase revenues by targeting corporates, IT, and AV system integrators.
6. India’s projection market is evolving
2. Sennheiser has successfully completed 80 years of delivering audio around the world, how has the experience been so far?
Sennheiser is now eight decades old, but innovation is always our top priority. We believe in growing with products and the passion of people. This is one brand, but we work like a family-owned company and everyone here is a part of this family, making it an inclusive work culture. That’s the beauty of the organisation.
3. What market segments is the brand planning to tap into in the next 3-5 years?
With the emergence of GCCs, enterprises have become a significant market for us. I believe both the enterprise and education sectors are expanding at an exceptional pace. Additionally, the government segment is increasingly opening up to innovative solutions. Together, these three segments — corporate, government, and education form a diverse and dynamic mix of opportunities.
In fact, if you go to cities like Delhi, they

rapidly with demand for high-brightness, energy-efficient solutions. How is Epson positioning itself to capture this demand from a sales and marketing standpoint?
We have a dedicated 14-member projector team across India, along with pre-sales engineers who help design customised mapping solutions. Our after-sales support is another key differentiator and Epson is the only brand offering a three-year onsite warranty, backed by nearly 400 service centres across the country.

are predominantly focusing on govern ment sector. Bangalore, on the other hand, has been focused on GCC - corporate and education, while Mumbai has been catering to banking, financial, and more. Therefore, I believe, the market is segregated based on geography itself and we are open to tapping into the entire market’s requirements.
7. What are Epson’s immediate objectives at this year’s show in terms of strengthening customer connect and driving adoption of your projection solutions?
The key goal is to deepen engagement with system integrators and key decisionmakers from government, corporates, and other sectors. By demonstrating practical, solution-oriented applications, Epson aims to strengthen customer connect and drive wider adoption of Epson projection solutions in India.

The integration of IOCL with advanced audio-visual and collaboration solutions aimed at creating a premium interior design. The ultimate objective was to enhance functionality, improve usability, and create a visually striking effect that fosters higher productivity and engagement.
Prior to this transformation, IOCL faced multiple operational hurdles: Poor audio-visual quality: The conference rooms had old audio-visual equipment, which caused problems like unclear sound, blurry video, and frequent connection issues during online meetings. These problems made it difficult for people to communicate
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), one of India’s largest and most forward-looking energy companies, recently undertook a major digital transformation at its marketing headquarters in Bandra, Mumbai. With the objective of creating smarter, more efficient, and immersive collaboration spaces, IOCL partnered with Cosmos Business Machines to revamp its boardrooms and conference rooms with cutting-edge audio-video solutions. The initiative not only enhances usability and productivity but also reinforces IOCL’s image as a technology-driven organisation committed to innovation and operational excellence.
and work well, especially during important discussions.
Limited collaboration tools: The old meeting rooms did not have tools to work together easily. People found it incon-
venient to show slides, write notes on documents, or talk with each other at the same time. This made team meetings slow and confusing, and often meant people needed to send more emails or have extra
meetings to finish their work.
High costs associated with external conference venues: IOCL had to use expensive hotels and outside places for big meetings because their own meeting rooms were not good enough. This made the cost very high, around ₹60-70 lakhs for each event.
Increased travel for employees and senior executives: Without good video call systems, senior leaders and teams had to travel for important meetings, which wasted time and money.
Lack of a centralised meeting room management system: There was no central system to manage meeting room bookings, causing double bookings, confusion, and last-minute changes that were inconvenient for everyone.
Acknowledging these limitations, smart video conferencing solution was introduced to tackle these issues by providing an immersive, high-definition, and interactive meeting experience that significantly improves communication and decisionmaking throughout the organisation. The revamp covered four key rooms including the large conference room, finance conference room, large meeting room, and the training room. Each of these spaces was carefully equipped with cutting-edge AV technology tailored to its size and purpose.
The Large Conference Room: The setup of this room on 8th floor now includes Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms for dual-platform compatibility, a triple-screen video conferencing system, and a touch retractor monitor for intuitive meeting control. High-quality PTZ cameras with tracking functionality and “Look at Me” buttons ensure speakers remain the focus of discussions, while a document camera enables real-time sharing of physical documents. The system also features both wired and wireless presentation capabilities, beamforming ceiling tile microphone for superior audio pickup, and a robust audio system with ceiling and FOH (Frontof-House) speakers. To support smooth transitions between multiple AV sources, a 4K resolution matrix switcher was also integrated, along with iPad-based automation for lighting and AV controls. Finally, a room booking system ensures efficient schedul-
ing and management.
The Finance Conference Room: This room on 4th floor received a similar upgrade, anchored by a 98-inch large ultra-HD display for enhanced visibility and content sharing. It supports Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms, complemented by a touch retractor monitor, PTZ cameras, a document camera, and a wired & wireless presentation system. Beamforming ceiling microphone and a high-quality audio system provide crystal-clear sound in the finance conference room, while a 4K resolution matrix switcher and iPadbased smart automation ensure smooth and efficient operations. This room, too, now benefits from an integrated booking system.
The Large Meeting Room: Large meeting room on 2nd floor is now integrated with an active LED display video conferencing system for superior visual clarity, supported by a 75-inch repeater display for improved visibility across the room. In addition to the Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms compatibility, this space includes PTZ cameras with tracking functionality, a document camera, touch retractor monitor, and both wired and wireless presentation options. The system also incorporates ceiling tile microphone with beamforming technology, a high-performance audio setup, a 4K resolution matrix switcher, iPad-based system automation and lighting control, and a dedicated booking system.
The Training Room: On the 2nd floor, the training room is enhanced with an active LED display video conferencing system, high-quality audio system with ceiling and FOH (Front-of-House) speakers, and control system automation via iPad for an optimised meeting experience.
This revamp was essential in reinforcing IOCL’s image as a modern, IT-savvy organisation committed to state-of-theart digital transformation. The initiative aligned with IOCL’s vision and mission, demonstrating its dedication to innovation, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology in workplace operations.
The newly upgraded conference rooms
and meeting spaces have significantly enhanced the overall user experience, leading to increased adoption of the facility for meetings and conference, hassle-free collaboration ensuring higher engagement and efficiency, and improved workplace productivity by facilitating smoother communication and decision making.
The enhanced video conferencing and presentation capabilities have resulted in a substantial increase in the utilisation of these spaces, leading to significant savings on travel costs as more meetings are conducted virtually, greater operational efficiency as employees and leadership can connect instantly without geographical constraints, and increased profitability for IOCL as cost reduction and productivity improvements contribute directly to business performance.
The revamp broke away from traditional conventions, embracing an out-of-thebox approach to achieve results that were previously unimaginable. The audio video systems integrator, Cosmos Business Machines was selected from multiple bidders due to their strong track record in delivering high-quality AV projects for renowned organisations like BPCL, ONGC, LIC, NABARD, Sun Pharma, Aditya Birla Group, and others. Their expertise and industry best practices ensured a seamless and state-of-the-art implementation for IOCL as well. One of the major challenges was executing the project without disrupting daily business operations. Cosmos successfully overcame this by deploying its team during non-working hours for installation and setup, ensuring thorough site cleanup each morning, keeping the work environment clutter-free and fully functional during the day.
The result is a transformation that goes beyond modernising infrastructure. IOCL’s meeting rooms now embody next-generation collaboration, setting new benchmarks for efficiency, engagement, and innovation across the organisation.

An Excerpt from the Conference Session Held at AV-ICN Expo 2025 on ‘Interactive Screens: Transforming Corporate and Educational AV Landscapes’

From macro market sizing to micro user habits, the discussion at AV-ICN Conference and Seminar 2025, moved effortlessly between statistics and strategy, punctuated by powerful insights from Rohit A.K., Pankaj Bellad, Hardik Shah, and Prashant Shrivastav. Here’s a closer look at the highlights.
The discussion opened with a quick look at the market size and growth potential of interactive displays. According to Pankaj Bellad, the opportunities in both education and corporate segments are vast. He stated, “In India, we have almost 15 lakh schools, and when you do the math, the market is enormous. Yet, penetration is barely 9%, which is just 4-4.5 lakh units on average. Education is leading the charge with almost 80–85% adoption, while corporate is slower but catching up as costs reduce.”
To this Rohit A.K. added a global lens,
emphasising India’s position as the next big growth engine, commenting, “With around 25 crore students in 15 lakh schools, the numbers are staggering. Despite half a million sales in the past five years, we haven’t even touched a million units cumulatively. Globally, last year saw 12 million sales, with China still dominating at 45% share. But the next growth territory for interactive flat panels is undoubtedly India — thanks to digitisation and rapid adoption in schools and colleges.”
Moving beyond displays; panellists further spotlighted the active LED market. Prashant Shrivastav mapped out the scale, stating, “This year alone, active LED market has the potential of becoming a ₹7,000 to ₹10,000 crore industry in India, spanning government, education, and corporate sectors. door installations, and infrastructure projects also contribute 5–10% in the LED market.” Further elaborating on how the interactivity is extending into larger display formats, Hardik Shah said, “We used to see interactive displays mainly in classrooms. Now, with technologies like COB and GOB,
we’re seeing interactivity with larger LED walls too. That’s a game changer, especially for auditoriums and lecture halls. The trend has shifted from 65-inch displays to 75-inch and now 86-inch and beyond, replacing traditional whiteboards with more engaging, collaborative tools.”
Seeing the large market size and upcoming trends, it’s safer to say that interactive LEDs are replacing the whiteboards and the rise of ‘all-in-one’ LED solutions is addressing the scale challenge, opening new use cases across auditoriums, training centres, and hybrid classrooms.
The pandemic dramatically altered perceptions of digital learning not only in India but across the world. Rohit A.K. noted how hybrid classrooms have moved from experimental to essential, “Interactive displays are no longer just meeting room tools. In corporate learning and development, hybrid classrooms are here to stay. Travel time can now be turned into productive learning. What makes interactive displays powerful is that they integrate with existing setups and therefore, users don’t need a complete overhaul. That balance of scalability and cost-effectiveness is critical.”
Pankaj Bellad further drew parallels in the education sector, elaborating, “preCovid, the idea of connected classrooms was limited. But the pandemic changed everything. Platforms like Zoom and Teams made hybrid education a necessity, and even teachers were equipped with interactive boards at home. Today, many coaching institutes and new age Ed-Techs are completely dependent on hybrid solutions. Even studios with interactive setups are becoming the new normal.”
The session, focusing on the increasing market requirements since Covid-19, shared a significant thought that the hybrid model, which was once an emergency solution, has now become a cornerstone of both corporate training and modern education.
When asked about adoption patterns, Prashant Shrivastav observed that design evolution is reshaping customer preferences. He explained, “Earlier, LCDs had visible bezels. Customers demanded seamless, bezel-less experiences, and active LEDs filled that gap. The Digital India
initiative has also accelerated demand in government and corporate spaces. In fact, meeting rooms that once only had large conference displays now see smaller hybrid rooms adopting active LEDs too.”
Yet, challenges remain. Awareness of active LED technology is still limited, and maintenance concerns make some users hesitant. Hardik Shah confirmed that while LEDs are slowly competing with IFPDs, mass adoption will take time. He added, “All-inone solutions are playing a major role, but technology maturity and user familiarity will decide how fast adoption grows.”
One of the most debated themes around the discussion was ‘manufacturing’. The panel acknowledged that while government initiatives like PLI schemes have brought momentum, most large-scale manufacturing still happens outside India. Rohit pointed out, “We’ve seen a steady shift towards local assembly, but true component-level manufacturing is still a challenge. Components like motherboards and panels are imported. To build a sustainable ecosystem, we need investment not just in assembly but in R&D, component production, and a skilled supply chain as well.”
Defining the Make in India initiative further, Hardik Shah stated, “Make in India products will focus more on quality rather than quantity or prices. Government should also focus on expanding the initiative with leniency on licenses for more players to think about manufacturing in India.”
Stressing on the importance of scale of this pro AV segment, Bellad also commented, “India has the numbers. Once the scale builds up, localisation will become viable. The ecosystem needs a push, and the demand from education or corporate sectors will drive that push.”
Artificial Intelligence (AI) surfaced as a recurring theme during the session, not as a buzzword but as a tangible enabler. Hardik Shah explained how AI is personalising education, explaining, “AI-driven analytics can track student engagement and performance in real time, helping teachers tailor lessons to each learner. In corporate spaces too, AI tools will help training managers evaluate effectiveness, optimise content, and boost productivity.”
Furthermore, Shrivastav added from an AV perspective, stating, “AI integration with displays like facial recognition for attendance or smart calibration for LEDs will
streamline operations for the end-users. It reduces dependency on manual intervention and makes systems more efficient.”
The panel agreed that AI will not replace educators or trainers but will empower them with actionable insights and smarter tools.
Despite the optimism, panellists did not shy away from identifying roadblocks. High costs, limited awareness, and after-sales service gaps continue to hold back mass adoption. Rohit A.K. noted, “Affordability remains the number one barrier. The price gap between standard displays and interactive ones is narrowing, but for many schools and SMEs, it’s still a stretch.”
Bellad further added, “After-sales service is another challenge. A display is not a one-time purchase, it’s an ecosystem that needs reliable support and if we don’t address this, adoption rates will slow down.” Therefore, emphasising that awareness campaigns, financing models, and localised support networks are key solutions to scaling LED interactive market.
The session closed with a short Q&A, where the audience asked about the balance between online and offline learning, and the lifespan of new technologies. The panel’s consensus was that hybrid will dominate, combining in-person engagement with digital flexibility. Speaking about the product longevity, panellists emphasised that warranties and maintenance contracts must evolve alongside the technology, ensuring trust in long-term investments.
The session at AV-ICN Expo 2025 painted a clear picture on the IFPD market that India is at the cusp of a display revolution. With millions of schools, a booming corporate training culture, government support for digitalisation, and the advent of AI, the adoption of interactive flat panels and active LEDs is set to accelerate. The journey won’t be without hurdles like affordability. Awareness and service ecosystems must be strengthened, but the trajectory is unmistakable. As Rohit A.K. aptly summed up, “The market potential is immense, and we’ve barely scratched the surface so far.”

In fact, the APAC region, driven by urbanization in today’s world, is poised for the highest growth rate over the forecast period”, as per the reports by DataIntelo. In this column, Bhavani Raj explains the use of cue clickers and laser pointers while highlighting how such technologies are marking a significant need in this tech-driven world.
Undoubtedly, technology has given a radical approach to the products like Cue Clicker, limit timer, pointer pens, LED podium light, cue , green dot laser pointer, lasers pointer, or cue system. For example, content provides a full and clear view to reading; besides that, we can control the content switching between several devices. Needless to say, technophobia will have an emerging place in this ever-advanced modern world.
In today’s fast-paced world, having the right tools can greatly improve
presentations. Cue Clicker products are curated for professionals who give press conferences, speeches, and others in meeting rooms. And we have been seeing a significant demand in educational institutions these days.
To embark on, there are multiple reasons why the PPT clickers or cue lights, and pivotal tools like wireless presenter, laser power point PPT presenter slider changer by numerous consumer-based OEM’s available on e-commerce platforms, professional clickers by the OEMs from USA, and China like Cue Commander or Super Cue Series are progressively easier for live conferences and events.

There has been a notable increase in demand for cue clickers (PPT clickers) after the Covid-19 pandemic, compared to prepandemic sales level.
Before Covid, PPT clickers were less commonly purchased, as most meetings and presentations happened in traditional office environments with shared equipment, post-Covid, with the surge in hybrid and remote work, professionals increasingly conduct presentations from various locations, requiring personal presentation tools like cue clickers for both virtual and live events.
Growth is further driven by the expansion of digital learning, frequent webinars, and virtual conferences, where wireless clickers offer flexibility and ease.
Experiencing the current demand in the market, Shenzhen AV Master Technology Co., Ltd has developed the Super Cue Series based on numerous requirements in contrast to the several markets.
