SPORTS College covered! Matanzas High School senior Remy Battles was celebrated at her school on Dec. 3 after winning a Take Stock in Children Leaders 4 Life Fellowship. She is one of six winners in the state. The fellowship will cover all her remaining college expenses and provides networking and other opportunities. Battles, who wants to major in journalism and marketing, already has Bright Futures and Take Stock in Children scholarships. She is just the third Flagler County student to win a Leaders 4 Life Fellowship in the 16 years of the program. Battles poses with her permanent guardians Beth Kerr and Cheryl Massaro.
