Takeya Japanese Steak House closes Takeya Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar at 220 N. Williamson Blvd. in Ormond Beach has closed. The restaurant announced its closure on its Facebook page on Monday, May 11: “After more than 40 years in the restaurant business, we have decided that it is time to step back and allow other entrepreneurs to begin a new chapter for the iconic Takeya building. ... We are deeply grateful for your support, loyalty, and the many memories we’ve shared over the years. It has been an honor to serve you and be part of this community.”
