BRIEFS Halifax Humane Society to participate in adoption event BISSELL Pet Foundation, a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness, is holding a nationwide “Empty the Shelters — Holiday Hope” adoption event Dec. 1-11. The Halifax Humane Society, located at 2364 LPGA Blvd., will participate and offer $15 adoptions for cats and $25 adoptions for dogs. This event will be hosted in more than 275 shelters in 43 states, according to a press release. BISSELL Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” event, launched in 2016, is the largest funded adoption event in the country, the press release states. Visit halifaxhumanesociety.org.
