HSL (The Harley’s store Lahore) rebranded now as *T.H.J* (The Harley’s Junction), established in June 2018, as the first *Cruisers bike store & Harley Owners Group, Lahore Chapter* in Punjab. Under the experienced leadership of Mr. Tauqir Ahmed, the passionate Harley rider for many years, a true spirit of Cruiser Riders Culture was introduced and owning a dream machine for two-wheel enthusiast was made possible. T.H.J now has over 125 members – It’s the largest union of ‘passionate cruiser riders’ in the region. T.H.J members ride together in a coherent and orderly manner, following the city rules and biker brotherhood norms. It is a beautiful sight to see them ride like this even in the mountains. Rider’s safety first, is the most fundamental principal by which they ride together. T.H.J offers its members a platform to buy & sell bikes, offers accessories and provides a mature and experienced platform to ride together, even to the nonexperienced new riders. It also offers a full-service workshop, branded as *“Riders Pin”*. T.H.J plans to offer “Riders Pin” to its members throughout the country so they can ride with confidence and a peace of mind.

A CULINARY JOURNEY INTERNATIONAL BLOGGER AND PHOTOGRAPHER, SHEHAR BANO RIZVI RECENTLY LAUNCHED HER COOKBOOK, ‘VIRSA- A CULINARY JOURNEY FROM AGRA TO KARACHI’. AS AN ODE TO THE LEGACY OF HER FAMILY, RIZVI TITLED THE BOOK ‘VIRSA’, WHICH MEANS ‘HERITAGE’ IN URDU. THE BOOK FEATURES A COLLECTION OF OVER 100 HEIRLOOM RECIPES THAT HAVE BEEN PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE AUTHOR’S FAMILY FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION.

Did you stumble upon your career or was it something that you always wanted? I trained and studied to be an IT Project Manager. After doing my Masters in Computer Science, I did my Project Management Professional certification. I started as a Software Engineer developing Java applications to managing their retail banking systems at a local bank in Qatar. But destiny led me to explore my creative side, and I rediscovered myself as a photographer and a storyteller, to eventually becoming a published author of a cookbook. I never saw this coming! What was your “aha!” moment? The first post I wrote on my Facebook page where I penned down my story of moving from Karachi to Doha and the emotions associated with all the changes that it brought in my life. It was the first time I ever wrote and shared what I thought. It resonated with people, and I got such an overwhelming response! People messaged me that they were hooked to my storytelling and felt they were witnessing what I had written. That was the moment where I realized that I had inherited my father's storytelling genes. That is when I formally started my blog's website and started my blog, Diary of a PMP mom. Did you ever consider or experience a career change? As I mentioned earlier, I was an IT project manager and now ended up as a photographer, blogger, and cookbook author. And in between this journey, I also did Wilton's Cake decorating courses and started a custom cake business. I also tried my hand at digital illustrations and watercolor painting... But since I found photography as a tool to complement my storytelling, I think I probably will not switch or think about a career change anymore...but as they say, never say never :)
What is #1 thing that is yet to be ticked off your bucket list? I don’t really have a bucket list…. I do try to live life as it happens and unfolds. Like writing a cookbook was never in my plan or on my check list, but it happened and I am super glad it did. However, there are few places I’d like to see and photograph and on top of that list is Cappadocia, Turkey. What does nobody tell you about being the boss? What people don’t realize when they see success is the struggle and hard work and patience that went into achieving that. Name one boss lady that you admire and how she still inspires you? There are a lot of famous and inspirational women I admire. But it’s not just the “famous” women that I look up to. I am inspired by the extraordinary ordinary women in my life... like my phuppo who became a doctor and helped people at a time when women struggled to get basic education, & my mother who despite of my dad’s philanthropism and limited income, raised us in the best possible way and managed to send us siblings to the best schools in Pakistan. And also, my mother in law who lost her husband at a very young age and raised five kids on her own. Or even our live-in nanny who left Phillipines to work in an unknown country, thousands of miles away from her kids and husband, so she can provide a better life and education for her kids. These real-life women are the boss ladies in my life that I look up to.
HARD WORK, PATIENCE AND RESILIENCE, IS THE ONLY WAY TO TURN YOUR DREAMS INTO A REALITY.
When was a time you felt completely discouraged and how did you push through it? The book launch was planned to happen in Pakistan and in Qatar in April 2020, which was cancelled due to Covid-19. My mom who lives with my brother in Canada had travelled to Pakistan for the book launch and got stuck there, while I was stuck in Qatar. That was a difficult time emotionally but knowing that she is healthy and safe was something I was grateful for and that gave me the strength to go on.
What was the best advice that your mentor gave you? I think what left a mark on me was what my late father always believed in and often repeated. He used to say that “Life is all about giving .. giving back to those who need it the most”. He was an ophthalmologist and used to treat his patients for free. To continue his legacy, I will be donating 100% profits from the sale of Virsa to LRBT Eye Hospital in Pakistan who are doing amazing work in fighting blindness in Pakistan. What are the top 3 things you cherish in your life? I think it has be my family and friends who are are my strength and support system.
Describe a day in your life My day starts early morning only because the kids have to go to school, otherwise I am not a morning person at all. I used to cook myself until recently when our house help has taken a copy of Virsa and taken over the cooking department. I schedule any meetings or shoots during the time the kids are at school. From the time I pick them up from school till they sleep, I spend most of the time with my family. My writing and photo editing work resume after everyone is in bed and then I work till late night. Complete this sentence: To me, a #BossLady is…” Every woman is a boss lady – every woman who wears multiple hats and juggles the multiple roles of being a daughter, wife, mother and a professional and manages everything seamlessly. What did you learn from your biggest failure? That’s it’s not the end…Try again. Which world leader would you most like to have dinner with? I hardly have any interest in world politics, but I do admire Imran Khan and Barak Obama. What advice would you give to young girls out there who have dreams and goals like yours? I think it’s important for everyone specially women to not let anyone tell them what they can or can’t do. Dream big, work hard and hustle! Hard work, patience and resilience, is the only way to turn your dreams into a reality.

Where did you choose to go and why? I traveled to Amsterdam, Rome and Barcelona.I have always wanted to explore the world and these places have always caught my fancy. Amsterdam because of canals and the rich culture the city has to offer, Rome because of its history and beautiful fountains and Barcelona because of its breathtaking beaches.
