FEATURING PRERTO
ready, set, style! th is week alisha adnan wears prerto accessories & makes them her very own!
I went all out with my traditional look. I paired this beautiful necklace with a classic Misha Lakhani top and added small red button earrings so they don't take away from this statement sukhi necklace. I personally loved this look and would wear it to a wedding.

This look comprised of my 3 favourite elements: chokers, velvet and off shoulder! I layered the Verona and Talia chokers and paired it with blue umbrella earrings and the tetra ring. The stones in these Prerto pieces worked really well with my navy blue Rema & Shehrbano separates.

I would wear this outfit to a really formal event. I chose statement cleo earrings and a putonghua hand harness since my dress was relatively simpler. I feel the green stones really complement my silk Sania Maskatiya gown.

I fell in love with the pearl haven necklace the moment I saw it. It is the perfect piece to elevate any outfit. I went for an elegant look for this piece and paired it with a FAE top and culottes. For this look I let my sleeves and necklace do all the talking.

BY RISHMAE AZHAR
HOW TO GET:
#cheeksonfleek
a well placed and well blended contour, highlight and blush can oomph up any makeup look! this is a quick guide to ace your #contourgame and get your #highlighteronpoint. follow these simple steps to beat the drying winter air and get rosy lit-from-within cheeks! Cheek contouring/sculpting: Use a shade 3-5 times darker than your skin tone and start contouring right underneath the cheekbones using an angled contour brush. Be sure not to bring your cheek contour too close to the mouth. A simple trick is to start from the top of your ear and leave a gap of at least three fingers between your mouth and the contour. Blending is very important while contouring so be sure to use less product and start from the lightest shade and then build on it. This will ease the blending! Blush For the perfect rosy cheeks and to add a pop of colour I like to use the Dior Rosy Glow blush when I want a soft pink glowy blush or the Nars Orgasm when I want a peachy gold tinge. Where you apply your blush depends on your face shape but in general I like to start from the apples of the cheek and go all the way into the contour and blend it completely to give the cheeks a natural looking flush of colour! Highlighting: Highlighting can really make your cheeks stand out. You can either achieve a natural glow or a sparkly illumination depending on your personal preference. Begin highlighting above where you have applied the blush and above the cheekbone. For a natural day highlight I like to apply the Benefit girl meets pearl. This is a liquid highlight that you can easily dab and blend with your fingers. For night, or if you’re in the mood for a more sparkly finish, add a second powder highlighter on top. I like to use Silver Dusk by Mac cosmetics and apply it with a fan brush. In the end make sure that your highlight, blush and contour are well blended and voila! You’ve got your #cheeksonfleek! 42

chapter 13
Celebrating their 3rd anniversary! QURAT UL AIN ANSARI
SADIA AN SARI
• Tell us about your journey at CHAPTER 13 CHAPTER 13 was founded in 2013; one year post my Graduation from UK. A brand which started with a mere facebook page is now available in major cities of Pakistan: Lahore and Islamabad and for worldwide shipping via daraz. pk website.facebook/instagram/WhatsApp orders delivered via cash on delivery service nationwide. It has expanded over a span of 3 years. My sister Sadia Ansari; the designer behind CHAPTER 13 is quite creative with her designing. She is the one who is brainstorming about the new designs and keeping CHAPTER 13 up to date with all the latest trends in the market. Having grown up in a family with a history of shoe business(MILLI SHOES), it eventually became a passion for me. Passion for taking the family business forward along with an aim of promoting the Pakistani culture and craftsmanship gave birth to CHAPTER 13.
• How does it feel to reach this milestone? Chapter 13's 3rd anniversary! I am happy to have the opportunity to explore my dream, run my own business and have my father’s trust and family’s support throughout the journey. CHAPTER 13 is like a baby to me and the emotional attachment with the work is what produces these heard made shoes. LIMITED EDITION 3 exclusive shoe designs were introduced in celebration of the 3rd Anniversary. • What's next for Chapter 13? CHAPTER 13 is introducing daily wear line and working on meeting the low priced and daily wear shoes deman.Theme: Ties and Knots is in Pipe Line. Get ready for some creative and fun close shoes. International Delivery is open via Daraz.pk and Online Orders. • Our readers would like to know a little about yourself? Qurat ul ain Ansari - I have always been a strong headed, rebellious and ambitious girl. Being a studious student, studying was the only hobby during the University times. I have recently developed a liking for travelling.
Sadia Ansari - Being the middle child I was the least favorite and unskillful child of the family, who never really took life too seriously. Graduating from a fashion school changed everything for me. My hobby mostly involves playing with colours in any way possible whether it’s creating new design, making salad bowls or decorating my place.

• Are you fond of cooking? Of course! I dabble a bit here and there. Whatever I make; I think I'm the only one who likes it! It is my wife who is the real chef. • Tell us your day-to-day responsibilities? My responsibility is primarily to take care of the guests! Apart from that my other duties include opening the restaurant, fulfilling the daily demands and account for the supply. At day-end, we close and submit the sales to our office early in the morning.

• How did you come up with Cafe Latch? I was inspired to open Cafe Latch when I was visiting Istanbul, Turkey and wandered across this lovely small cafe called House Cafe on Nisantasi. • How & Why did you decide to pursue your career in the restaurant business? My family business has always been retail oriented and my father owns a few fast food franchises. However, I was always more of a people-person and wanted to speak to the audience I was serving to. Hence, I wanted a small place where I could interact with my customers understand their needs. 46

• You and your wife make a fabulous team! Tell us about your team spirit? Our team spirit comes from my parents. They are a strong support who take care of everything else for us and keep us high spirited. In the restaurant, we both rely on each other for company and reassurance. • Tell us the best & worst part about this job? The best part for me is the happy faces you see in the day! The worst part is the long hours. There is no such thing as a day off in the restaurant business. • Do you feel like there is a lot of competition with lots of new restaurants opening up?
Absolutely. However, competition is good because it helps keep you on your toes and constantly strive to be better. • We love the interior & minimalistic touch to the restaurant. Whose idea was it? The interiors of the restaurant have been done by Ifran & Saad from the Architects Inc., and they are the best! Other than that, my parents, me and my wife had our input as well. My father has his rustic views, my mother has her victorian design inspiration, my wife and I were adamant on the color scheme. So all in all it was a team effort. • What are the specialities at Cafe Latch? Your top picks that no-one should miss out on? Some of my favourite items on the menu are hands down; the wasabi prawns, classic French onion, crispy chicken salad, open face smoked salmon, avocado cream cheese sandwich, the malted croissant bread butter pudding and the peanut butter pie. They are all a must try! • Give us 3 tips for running a successful restaurant? Location is key to any retail business, good food and a good environment. • Our readers would like to know a little about yourself? Where are you most likely to be found on weekends? I'm just a simple guy who enjoys meeting new people and making friends as he goes along. On weekends, I can usually be found at Cafe Latch or at the Lahore Polo Club. • Your job revolves around food. Do you eat Cafe Latch's food on daily basis? Yes! • Any advice you'd like to give to a junior you, who would like to step into the same field? I am fairly new myself but my advice would be to just be sure of what your giving your customers. Be confident in your own skin and have trust in your product. • Lastly, Where do you see Cafe Latch in another 5 years? The sky is the limit. Hopefully, three more branches; another in Lahore, one in Karachi and if we find the right location, then Islamabad.
