ana Hasham and Hasham Omer have just opened doors to an eclectic dining experience that is a treat for your palette and a cool breeze for your eyes. As the name suggests, this eatery will have all the traditional food and decor that make us Punjabi. Dishes varying from palak panir to chanmp masla to butter chicken to biryani followed by dessert such as gulab jamman and feerni. If you are ever in the mood for authentic desi food and prompt service, Local Eatery is the place to go.
S
ana Hasham, one half of the dynamic couple behind The Local Eatery, is a very involved owner. She spends a lot of her time in the kitchen, making sure each order gets prepared with utmost care. Her charm and hospitality, coupled with the delicious food makes dining at the Local Eatery a refreshingly pleasurable affair.

he local eatery is a small cozy place done up in wood polished in white, The white lends a more spacious look to the eatery while the truck art provides a high end dhaba ambiance craved by so many Lahoris, no way similar to bundu khan and gurmet grill.

ne of my favourites was the chicken karahi which is made of organic chicken that is cooked in tomatoes, garlic, ginger and green chillies. This chicken karahi is just one of a kind with the right amount of spice and the right amount of oil. We highly recomend it. You can eat this with assorted naan that are just so crispy and hot that you want to keep eating them on their own.

he Designer Ayaz Rashid, an upcoming interior designer, explains his design philosophy of the eatery as "At a glance, it may seem to be a Victorian restaurant. However, it’s a blend of Truck Art with local roadside Dhaba culture in Pakistan - monochromatically finetuned to preserve the subtle nature of dining experience. We believe restaurant design plays an integral role by providing a more cohesive character to the cuisine."

heir till Mill Jhinga., one of the appetizers at the local eatery is succulent and crispy on the outside. Another appetizer is the cheese kachori, these are round potatoe balls with cheese that melts in your mouth.

he deserts are proper desi from gulab jamans to Shahi tukra to shahi kulfi to nutella naan and firni. The shahi tukra defenitely will be one of their best selling desserts.
I
n november, the local eatery will start a tea time menu. The menu will include, crepes, brownies, waffles, churros, cheesecake, milkshake, khaousuey and mini burgers. The winter menu will includue BBQ, lobster tail, crab lollipos, fish pakora, grilled pomfret. On sundays they serve nihari and also do a car service.
