ABOUT ME:
bilal ashraf CV
Lives in: Karachi, Pakistan College: Franklin&Marshall, Pennsylvania
If I could be anyone I would be: Leonardo Di Vinci
How would you describe your personality?
Witty, fun-loving and always up for adventure.
Your personal style
Smart casual: I work with V-neck t-shirts, a comfy pair of jeans and trainers.
We have seen him looking dapper with his suave sense of style on magazine covers; now it’s time to get up close and personal with this new face on the block. Hence, we decided to have a quick chat with him and explore his take on fashion, films and frolics. Tell us something about yourself and your background. I grew up in Karachi with a thirst and passion for cricket. Infact, I had always dreamt of becoming a cricketer and spent most of my time bunking school to play cricket. However, down the line I ended up doing a double major in Finance, Arts and Psychology from Frankiln& Marshall College. After graduating I worked as a hedge fund consultant in the US. It was only a matter of time when my sister (God rest her soul in peace) persuaded me to move to London to study visual effects and animations. There I worked at a special visual effects studio for sometime. But as luck

would have it,my parents called me back to Karachi, so I opened up my own visual effects studio and worked behind the camera for eight years. How did you end up becoming an actor? I went to watch the movie Waar, where while I was exiting the cinema the film’s director and writer Hassan Waqas Rana noticed me and asked if I was interested in acting. He offered me a role in his upcoming film Yaalgar. What challenges have you faced in the industry? Every profession has it quirks and making your way in takes a lot of patience. During the time I was working at my special effects studio, I went through my share of hardship. I would spend hours waiting outside peoples offices trying to get the job done. So far what characters have you enjoyed the most? To be honest, all of them! I have played many different and challenging roles, each quite different from the previous one. In Yaalgar I am playing an action role – that of a SSG commando, in Jaanan I am a love-struck hero and in Jhool I am a doctor. Who inspires you? Dr Hassan Rana. The man behind Waar. He is accredited for the change in our industry. There is so much to learn from him. Shaan Shahid has also been a great mentor to me. He is extremely talented and has been a great help to me. What’s your most memorable moment during shoots? It has to be when I first tried firing the RPG for Yaalgar. The shooting was all about live amos. Firing guns is one thing but firing a rocket launcher is a life experience. What movies are you currently working on? Iam in the process of finishing Jhool and then starting Waar 2. Are there any characters that you dream of portraying some day? Bond’s villain! What is your fitness and dietary regime? I eat healthy, small six meals a day, and my work-out, which consists of HIIT Training along with heavy-weight training, tends to be for two hours, six days a week. How do you balance work and your personal life? The only time I have for any sort of personal time is my time at the gym. I’m a very physically driven person so I really need that time to enjoy either sports which is playing cricket or working out at the gym. Any other time I tend be absorbed in my hectic work routine. Most important lesson learnt in life that you live by? Be very careful of who you trust. I learnt that the hard way.

in the spotlight AYESHA BILAL YAR KHAN
Tell us a little bit about yourself. As the Business Unit Manager and Trainer for Kerastase, I marvel at how destiny built the walkway to me launching the most luxurious and beautiful of all brands in Pakistan. Be it my Swiss charm school, or International Beauty Masterclasses I have had the privilege of being a part of MTV, all of that has contributed towards a stellar launch and rooting of Kerastase in Pakistan. Icing on the cake was a brief consultation of cataloguing and operations I did for Net-a-Porter a few years ago. What drew you towards hair care or the beauty industry? As a child, I have been extremely fortunate to be schooled in Paris, and a frequent visitor to the city. Nothing comes close to the adrenaline rush of directing your limo to L’Oreal Head Office without having to give the direction. The entire Paris knows that 14 Rue Royale is the home to the biggest beauty brand in the world! During the 13th year of my career, getting a position at L’Oreal was euphoric to say the least. It still is. Every single day that I walk into the office, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

What do you feel are the three most common misconceptions women have about hair care? Most importantly, they feel like it will last forever. Well, nothing does. If you have naturally beautiful hair today, you must invest into keeping it beautiful. Secondly they make their hair endure the worst for the sake of beauty which just doesn’t make sense. Statement hair, is naturally beautiful hair. Period. Thankfully with the phenomenal science employed by Kerastase, we are now equipped to give you more hair, or a second life to your damaged hair. These pieces are definite investments into your routine if you want to sustain your hair health. The most irritating concept is spending thousands on damage and saving up on hair care. We spend so much money in Pakistan during the wedding season (which by the way is all year round except for two months) on hair styling, hair color, chemical texturizing, yet spending on haircare is generally not on the radar.
Kerastase is heaven sent since now you can control the quality of your hair with the most miraculous Densifique ampules (as seen in Huda Beauty must haves). This acts like a fertilizer to the hair follicle. Anywhere on your scalp where you see hair thinning, Densifique will give you beautiful, thick hair!
What do you feel are three worst things women can do to their hair? 1. Heat straightening while your hair is wet 2. Chemical retexturing on weak hair 3. Bleaching their hair at home as DIY highlights (Yes Yes its true we get many hair confessions every day)
What is the secret behind your own beautiful hair? Being a minimalist. Firstly you’ve got to be real with your assessment. I have extremely fine, fragile hair. I refrain from all heat styling and coloring and keep it natural. I just resort to the greatest haircare in the world for beautiful hair without a blowdry.
For those who have damaged hair, how do you advise them to go an extra mile for their hair care? All it needs is a little bit of attention. The best advisce I can give you is go to a stylist and hair consultant you can trust. We research and assess a salon comprehensively before we award them the honor of being a home to Kerastase. Which is simply because we need the salon Director and Staff to have the expertise, experience and integrity to equip their clients with the correct prescription to ensure that their investment in the homecare routine is worth their while and more. Every hair is different and so is each personality. For damaged hair, your consultant salon will develop a program to fix your hair over 4 to 8 weeks. With Therapiste, we now have products that actually give a second life to burnt hair beyond repair within 24 hours. Its nothing short of a miracle, and we witness it day on day. We know that Kerastase likes to keep their availability very exclusive, so which salons are available to provide us with Kerastase rituals? We are so esteemed to be very graciously showcased at Nabila, Sabs, Nina Lotia, Mubashir Khan, Meher, Depilex, Blush, Neelo, Shamain in Karachi, all their branches in Lahore along with Ruby’s Splitends (Flagship Lahore) Asma T and Arammish We are soon to embed hair beauty treasures in Islamabad. How often should women change their hair care routines and products? Every single season. Your hair and scalp are two different aspects, and the only program on earth that realizes that is Kerastase. It is so very personalized. Your hair has different concerns during summer, and very different anxieties in winter, then why the same haircare? Also, its important to review health as it greatly impacts the quality of your hair. Going on a crash diet will make your body and hair grow thinner, and nobody wants that. Same is the case post pregnancy.
What ingredients should one look for in their shampoo and what ingredients should they be wary of? Arginine is ah-mazing if you have hairloss or thinning. Also its not just about the formula (some brands may show off they have some ingredient) but also the quantity of the chemical composition. For example Densifique is the only formula which is absolutely laden with Stemoxydine and that’s the miracle behind instant hair beauty right after your first wash! This fabulous composite acts like a lip filler for hair!!!
Are you also addicted to blow dries and hair dos or do you believe in styling your own hair at home? As L’oreal we are extremely fortunate to be a part of Haute Coiffure and different ateliers that school us to style our hair. The chignons are classiest Parisian hair art! Hair care myth Busting Expensive or salon hair-care products are better than inexpensive ones. True, the quality of ingredients has immense disparity Natural ingredients are better than synthetic ones. True Silicone is bad for hair. False You can repair damaged hair. True, only and ONLY with Kerastase Therapiste! Dyeing hair isn’t damaging. True You can perm and color hair without causing more damage, if you wait a few weeks between treatments. True Frequent hair brushing is good for hair. True Cutting hair makes it thicker. False. Just healthier Just like skin, your hair needs sun protection. True Is frequent shampooing bad for hair? This immensely depends on hair type and geo location Are baby shampoos really milder than regular shampoos and can adults use them? Yes, they are fantastic for natural

My little green dairy IN ORDER TO FIND HEALTHY AND ORGANIC ALTERNATIVES, CITY BY CITY LET’S EXPLORE YOUR GO -TO- GUIDE IN KARACHI:
H
ats off to the recent trend and growing culture of boot camps and fitness studios; much awareness towards a healthy life style has become a perennial issue at hand amongst the masses. As the overtly used quote goes, inner beauty comes from within, lets use it lieu of the matter at hand in an altered light. It is fairly true to a large extent that the real beauty comes from the combination of a healthy mind, body and soul. This wholesome approach consists of an amalgamation of not just exercise but a whole different perspective on the 80% of what actually matters: food. It is perhaps fair enough to say that you are what you eat. Fitness workout alone will not give you results till you amend your diet. A healthy diet is an ongoing process and entails a lifestyle change. They go hand in hand forming equilibrium between the inside and the out in sync; emanating that certain Jene Sais Quoi that lacked within our hectic schedules. 1. AL KHAIR Start off your day with a spoonful of honey in milk. This label offers a range of natural products from Black Seed oil to various types of
organic honey. Al Khair’s honey is raw, unheated, free from preservatives and sourced through a non-pasteurized technique, known as micro filtration, where the honey is kept in its natural form and only cleaned at 35C of heat and then kept in cheesecloth, just to purify any impurities from the bee sting and flowers. You can select from Multifloral, Sidr and forest to make a healthy breakfast or add it to your face mask to give you an additional glow. Since school days most of us have despised our glass of milk, well turns out it wasn’t a good idea since its pretty essential for the daily dose of vitamin D and Calcium intake. The deficiency of these can lead to various health related issues, which are increasingly becoming common in Pakistan. In order to get your Calcium fix consider buying organic milk as opposed to commercially packaged milk which has a long shelf life but is devoid of the healthy nutrients, proteins and lacks the right vitamin content. The UHT milk is heated at a temperature of 138 degrees Celsius where the milk ends up losing most of its nutrient content and taste. Artificial sweeteners, various thickening agents, chemicals and preservatives are then added to this ‘milk’. Try the healthy organic milk instead; there are many small dairy farmers and local ventures, which are now taking adequate measures in providing a healthy alternate. 2. SAFE MILK & PUREO These two labels are well known to provide the best organic milk available in the market. It is hormone free, has no growth stimulants, steroids or chemical content. The milk is sourced from their privately maintained dairy farms where the cows are kept in good hygienic conditions and are fed complete natural green fodder. Next time consider one of these for breakfast or safe milk’s unadulterated desi ghee to make parathas from your grandma’s recipe. Not all fats are harmful for you, there is something known as healthy fats and your body requires a certain amount of intake of these which can be derived from various sources such as dry fruits, avocadoes, olive oil, milk and butter. While buttering the bread in the morning try a healthy alternative instead of the commercial butter or margarine. Those that tend to be very high on salt and are filled with artificial flavorings and preservatives. 3. SIMPLY ORGANIC Try the healthy butter options made organically. This label offers a variety of Almond butter, Almond milk, Peanut But-
ter, and Coconut Butter to naturally sourced Sesames and Olive Oil. All these are free from artificial flavourings. No salt or preservative have been added either. The best time to consume the Carbs is in the morning and is an integral part of a balanced diet, as it regulates blood sugar and helps break the protein while digesting the food and gives you the additional strength while working out. Do not compromise on your carb intake as it will leave you with brittle hair and nails. 4. DAALI, FARM 360, SYEDATTA These brands are committed to providing whole-wheat flour in its most natural form. The flour is processed using the traditional ways and remains unadulterated as opposed to buying commercial white flour which comparatively has a lower content of Fiber and the essential vitamins & minerals. Daali is a name that has been there for a while now and is providing a variety of flours from Diabetic ata, Wholewheat flour, gluten free flour to cold pressed Sarson oil. Syed Atta: This label is providing a wide range of Flours from Diabetic gluten free, wholewheat, All-bran flour
Organic Reri: providing fresh fruits and vegetables. Kush Honey: which is complete natural mulberry honey from chitral . Shadra farms: includes free range &desi chicken and eggs, free from growth hormones and chemicals. (Fed complete natural feed.) Ciao cheese: Healthy cheese made with an artisanal blend, from ricotta to mozzarella.
to special diet flour. There is a variety to choose from. Farm 360. They providw a range of dlours from wholewheat to corn flour. When choosing poultry one must be very careful, since the white broiler chicken is home to various diseases and causes a lot of health problems especially amongst women. These chicken are also given growth injections, hormone and antibiotics. Moreover the poultry is kept in unhygienic and unhealthy conditions and the feed that is given on these poultry farms also tends to be extremely harmful. 5. SUNGOLD It is one of the premium brands in the market, run by a couple that has put their heart and soul into it. They are providing a range of organically produced vegetables, using only natural pesticides and fertilizers . Sungold is providing free organic and desi chicken. No hormones, growth injections or antibiotics are given to these chicken rather their feed is made all naturally and is very healthy. Further the poultry farm is free range and hygienic thus ensuring a healthy poultry livestock. 6. AJWA FARMS This is a well looked after poultry farm. At the moment they are providing free-range chicken without the use of any hormones or the use of harmful feed given to it, they plan on expanding to aqua farming as well. 7. ISLOO FRESH This brand has been there in the market for some time and has served well with its wide range offerings of various organic labels such as :
All these are purely natural and are sourced from their farm in Islamabad; these are free from GMO, hormones, pesticides, chemical additives or any form of adulteration. It’s always a great idea to have your greens either at lunch or dinner served as a side salad or even as a main. When considering greens opt for the organic ones. Those tend to be fresh, free from harmful pesticides and chemicals. 8. SUNGOLD AND ISLOO FRESH ARE CREDIBLE ENOUGH. However, Organic City run by Zahra Ali who comes from a science background along with her husband, has been working on this subject for years. This venture is one of the most sought after in the city. Organic City is a social enterprise. They not only provide workshops on urban farming in school and colleges by the name of Green school Program, where they teach how to make your own garden and grow your own fruits, vegetables and plants but also run an enterprise where they help the local farmers from interior Sindh. They buy produce from these local farmers and then sell it for them without keeping any personal commission, in this way the farmers end up making a profit. Organic City also has their privately maintained farm, which produces a fair number of vegetables and fruits for sale. They only utilize Air loom seeds for their produce, rather than the use of GMO seeds or hybrid seeds. They are strict on the organic policy and make no use of chemical fertilizers or synthetic pesticides. This entity is now also expanding itself to providing organic meat where they will ensure its supply based on high quality standards. 9. NECO’S This store has a wide variety of healthy options and a few organic brands that it is currently stocking. You can find a range of organic eggs, butter, organic honey, flour, milk chia seeds to breads. Neco’s also has a range of products under its label from a selection of oils to a variety of breads. The breads being the best sellers are available from gluten free to multigrain’s.
Agha’s & Spring You might want to check out these supermarkets, as now these are stocking a few local organic brands and are offering a few imported healthy alternatives. These supermarkets have a wide range of healthy flour options, brown sugar, organic eggs, variation of cottage cheese, oils, chicken, Quinoa, Chia seeds, Pink Salt to a plenty other snacking options of granola bars, digestive biscuits to sugar free chocolate bars. Plantations such as a lively vase of flowers, bamboo sticks at your entrance or even an orange tree outside the window would uplift your mood. Greenery adds to the aesthetic of our surroundings and also purifies the air we breathe thus protecting us from various pollutants and balances the eco system. So try and add indoor plants maybe to your workspace or living room to give you that Zen. 10. PLANTS Consider buying your plants from a local nearby nursery or pay a visit to the farmers market where you can consult with a renowned Horticulturist, Ecologist and a passionate environmentalist Mr. Tofiq Pasha, who is known to be the guru of this realm. He has been serving and guiding the society for the past thirty years. Currently he is also providing a wide of variety plants and some beautiful flowers to choose from. Once your done lighting up your space, time to clean the most sacred space where you reside your mind. Consider any form of meditation, yoga or breathing exercises to help you relax and unwind. A healthy life style entails an effective fitness regime along with a balanced diet, so make sure you take out time for any form of exercise or simply go for a walk. Live long and stay fit.

health edit 1. YOU ARE SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME IN THE GYM Most people try and maximize the time they spend in the gym, rather than the intensity of their workout. Research shows that short but high intensity workouts are much more effective than long hours in the gym, which are mostly spent chatting to a gym buddy or checking your phone between exercises.
4. YOU LOVE YOUR CRUNCHES Have you been crunching and crunching but that belly fat just doesn’t seem to go? Crunches alone will not give you a flat stomach. There are multiple layers of muscles in our abdomen and for a killer core you need to work out all these muscles. Even your lower back muscles are part of your core.
Restrict your workout to 45 minutes or under and try to reach your maximum potential in that time.
Move away from crunches and start doing functional movements like lifting, throwing and planks to build abdominal strength.
2. YOUR ARE LOSING THE WRONG KIND OF WEIGHT Look around in your gym. Why is it that all the heavier people are found on the treadmill and elliptical while any looking muscular and fit will be found in the weights/strength area? Research has shown that long-duration, low-intensity cardio uses muscle tissue as fuel. Thus the weight you are losing on the treadmill is probably in the form of muscle mass. Muscle tissue is active hence it uses calories even when you are not working out. Thus to keep your metabolism up and burn that extra fat you should do high-intensity cardio and strength exercises. 3. YOU ARE ON A LOW-FAT DIET Not all fats are bad for you. In fact research shows that consuming beneficial fats with training produces muscle gain because it supports hormone balance and recovery from intense exercise. It is also proven that you need to eat some fat to lose fat.
Do remember that no matter how much muscle you build in your core, if there is a layer of fat covering it you’ll never be able to see those cuts. So combine your core workout with a high-intensity cardio and strength routines to shred that layer of fat. 5. YOU DON’T ENJOY YOUR WORKOUT Like anything you want to do regularly and persistently, you have to start enjoying your workout. It is important that you put your heart and soul in to your workout and push your body to a new limit every time. So pick a workout that you enjoy. Research has shown that people who train in groups or with friends are much less likely to give up. If you detest going to the gym, quit today and join a dance class instead. Fitness doesn’t happen over night. And if you’re in it for the long haul then you better make sure you enjoy your workout.
Most low-fat processed food producers compensate for taste by adding extra sugar which is eventually stored as fat in our body. Sugar also results in insulin spikes and keeps us hungry for longer. So keep eating beneficial fats that are found in foods like olive oil, nuts, avocado, chia seeds & coconut oil and you’ll be doing your body a favor. It is the processed sugar and high-carb foods that you should avoid. 2016

But also was this a friendly hang out or did we just hear Ranveer Singh’s heart break into pieces? We hope it’s the former that’s true, Ranveer and Deeps are too cute together.

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our new section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? After lusting over photographs posted by our friends online, Muji, my husband, and I finally decided to take the plunge and plan a trip up North. Our first option was Hunza but after researching hotels we preferred the Serena Shigar Fort hotel. Not only that but there were many sights to see close to Shigar that we were particularly interested in. Who did you travel with? Just my husband! Where did you stay? We stayed at the Serena Shigar fort, which was an amazing experience

What are the best shopping spots there? There was absolutely no shopping on our agenda! Suggest some amazing restaurants there? There are a couple of markets with local food. However, the meat was not suitable for our urban palettes as it was quite chewy. We mostly ate at the restaurant in our hotel. They had amazing cherries and apricots that were grown in the gardens on site and everything was cooked in apricot oil that is also a local delicacy. I fell in love with the buckwheat pancakes that were not only healthy but also extremely scrumptious. They also had local delicacies on the menu,

Tell us about the sights no one should miss out on Nothing should be missed out because all the sights are natural breath taking wonders. In our short trip we managed to see only a couple but were completely taken aback. Upper Kachura lake had the clearest azure green water that you could make out the lake bed with all the plants. It has the ideal temperature for swimming, boating and fishing. An added plus is that the restaurant on top of hill will cook your catch of the day! Satpara Lake and Dam was something I was dying to see and it did not disappoint. The view, the water was all awe inspiring. However, the water is freezing and dangerous to swim in! We wanted to see the Deosai plains however; we didn’t have enough time, as it was a 5-hour drive away.
Finally, any tips? Be prepared to stay a couple of nights in Islamabad due to weather changes that restrict air travel. Our short trip of four days got extended to nine because of the flights being grounded. The best time to travel is the early summer months!

What can you do over there to relax and unwind? Just take in the views! It was a very peaceful environment and very different from the hustle and bustle of city life. I would explore the areas around the hotel by going for a run in the morning along the river, followed by a quick yoga session with cows as my companions.

Don't hold back at the start of the week. Monday and Tuesday could find you suppressing your more assertive urges, but don't. Everyone -- yourself included -is best served by clearing the emotional air. On Wednesday, Thursday and the early part of Friday, your bravery and boldness will reach an all-time high. Don't worry -- that playful daring won't lead you into trouble. Your only risk is taking on more action (and, if you're lucky, romance) than you bargained for. This weekend, you'll be ruled by your routine and your responsibilities. Be a good sport and do the things you have to do.
Expect unusual interactions in strange places as the week begins. You're so supercommunicative on Monday and Tuesday that you can find conversation anywhere -- and everyone wants you to keep on talking. (If you're single, this could -- obviously -- lead to romance.) On Wednesday, Thursday and the better part of Friday, interacting won't be so easy. You'll find you need to tread carefully -- and leave your ego at the door -- if you want to avoid a power struggle. Find someone to arbitrate if need be. From Friday through to the weekend, you'll be swimming in a sea of love. Whether romantic, familial or platonic, the relationships in your life should be strengthened by this infusion of attention and affection.
Money and budgets are tight as the week begins, and you'll have to work your verbal charms if you want to avoid infighting on Monday and Tuesday. If you can't get what you want right now, just give it a day or two. On Wednesday and Thursday and on into Friday, you'll find plenty of opportunities to engage in one of your favorite sports: playful debate. Flex your conversational muscles and enjoy the witty tete-a-tete, but just make sure your fellow debater isn't taking your well-intentioned quips (and ripostes, brickbats, digs, zingers, etc.) seriously. On the latter part of Friday and into the weekend, try to cut the chatter and deal with details and errands.
You can count on nearly boundless energy as the week begins. Monday and Tuesday both find you at your attractive, adventurous and assertive best -- and people just can't take their eyes off you. Enjoy all the sincere flattery. On Wednesday, Thursday and early Friday, you'll feel an irresistible urge to do everything more extravagantly. Indeed, bigger is better right now, and a little showmanship can go a long way. (Just make sure you're not breaking the bank.) For the rest of Friday and on into the weekend, you'll whip your world into shape, with clear communication, precise analytical skills and an unerring command of the details.

As the week begins, satisfy your urge to socialize by finding a like-minded group to hang out with (especially one with a strong female influence). On both Monday and Tuesday, you'll feel energized and organized by companionship and teamwork. On Wednesday and Thursday (and the early part of Friday, too), try to stay flexible. Overbearing people could threaten to overwhelm you with conflicting plans and unreasonable demands, and the best thing you can do is take a patient, helpful attitude. On Friday afternoon and evening and on into the weekend, you might feel like putting on a cape and striking an inspiring pose. Your superpowers -- chiefly, the ability to identify what needs to be done and get to it -- are clearly evident for everyone to see.
Keep your head down as the week begins! You've got entirely too much going on right now -- and life is throwing way too many confusing details your way. Your best bet on Monday and Tuesday is just to lay low and focus on small accomplishments. By Wednesday -- and on into Thursday and the early part of Friday -- you'll be back to your easygoing self. You can accomplish a lot right now, especially if you work together with likeminded to achieve a common goal. (You, naturally, will have to lead the way.) From late Friday and on into the weekend, have fun hanging out with friends, and don't fret about getting things done.
At the start of the week, you can get almost anything you want -provided you've got the ambition and assertiveness to go after it. Monday and Tuesday are both great days for following your intuition and taking a chance. On Wednesday, Thursday and the early part of Friday, you might find your assertiveness leading you into danger -- just leave your ego at the door if you want to avoid a power struggle with an authority figure. Later on Friday and on into the weekend, spend long-overdue quality time with friends -- and don't be surprised to learn a juicy secret.

Feeling overwhelmed? As the week begins, life will throw countless crazy details your way, and you'll need to stay flexible and focused just to keep up. Don't fret over lost opportunities on Monday and Tuesday -- this is just a passing phase. On Wednesday, Thursday and the first part of Friday, you'll feel the urge to experiment and try new things, especially in your relationships. Don't be afraid to switch things up -- a little scientific method could be just what you need to make a big discovery. On the rest of Friday and into the weekend, you can get more grounded if you look at what's going on beneath the surface.
Can you feel all that love? You're practically floating in it as the week begins. Monday and Tuesday find you inspiring blatant flirtation and more modest forms of affection -- as both lover and lovee. Enjoy the attention and -- above all -- have fun. On Wednesday, Thursday and the first part of Friday, you'll need to keep to yourself or risk getting sucked into someone's personal dramas (unless, of course, that sounds kind of fun to you). On the rest of Friday and on into the weekend, get ready to jump in and take action -- even if you don't have all the facts beforehand.

As the week begins, you'll find yourself in possession of unusually good instincts -- along with the initiative and assertiveness to put those gut feelings into action. Monday and Tuesday are both good days for starting something new. On Wednesday, Thursday and the early part of Friday, you can parlay that assertiveness into an amazing streak of achievement. You're positively radiating confidence and charisma right now. Others will have nothing but admiration for you -- and they'll either give you a hand or get out of the way. Late Friday and on into the weekend, take time out to reassess the big picture (and, if necessary, make big new plans).

Energies are mismatched as the week begins, and that means trouble if you're trying to get things done. The obvious solution -- on Monday and Tuesday, at least -- is to relax and worry more about making connections than making progress. Others will respond well to your open-minded, philosophical mood. On Wednesday, Thursday and the better part of Friday, you'll be inspired to take action once again -- which is good, since luck is decidedly on your side. It's a great time for ridiculous risks (as in funny, not dangerous) and attempting the impossible, provided you've got the proper sense of humor. This weekend, slow down and resist the urge to rush ahead -- you need to cover all the details first.
Novelty is everything as the week begins. On Monday and Tuesday, seek out new people and new ideas. You need to socialize right now to find your footing -- and you can expect extremes in energy, in yourself and others. On Wednesday, Thursday and the first part of Friday, you need to display some of your trademark carefulness and caution. The prudent plan right now (especially at work or in business) is to be firm and fair but to watch for the worst. On the rest of Friday and on into the weekend, your research and preparation will pay off (just as planned!). Expect to get a lot done.
