NAWAZ HAS WON MANY AN AWARDS, MAKING HIS MARK ON THE INTERNATIONAL FASHION FRONT BY WINNING THE BEST INTERNATIONAL MEN’S WEAR DESIGNER CATEGORY AT MIAMI FASHION WEEK 2009. ASIDE FROM THIS, NAWAZ HAS ALSO BEEN NOMINATED FOR VARIOUS AWARDS AND HAS WON QUITE A FEW PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS IN THE MEN’S WEAR CATEGORY.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? I am a human being looking to live a fulfilled life. I design clothes and run a brand during the daytime and become a happiness vigilante by the evening. How did you decide to get into fashion? Was it something you were always interested in? At the tender age of 16, the only way I decided to get into anything was to just start, without any thought process; it literally just took over me. I think I was too old at 16 to believe that I was never a fashion conscious teenager. What were your initial opinions of working in the fashion industry, and how have those opinions evolved ever since you started? I loved the first day I got to work in this field and to this day I love waking up to go to work. My love for what I am allowed to do has been a major reason for my personal and progression growth. My opinion of the fashion industry is very loving and optimistic. I believe the Pakistani fashion industry literally makes Pakistan look good. Who can complain about a field that makes money, makes a name for one, represents the country on international platforms, and provides one with a good life? Munib Nawaz is a household name, what would you say is your trademark? The brand connects with people at an innate level. It is not just about the products we make, but it is all about the people who wear the brand. Our brand represents a mindset of wanting more from life, about making yourself accounted for, it represents a part of our consumers journey of success and self discovery. What sets Munib Nawaz apart from other menswear brands? Three things; Love, Passion, Product. That’s what sets our brand apart from other menswear brands. In your opinion, what skills are necessary to build a successful fashion house? How have you continually maintained your brand’s standards? I enjoy my day at work as it enables me to keep the brand growing. I keep learning and growing in many ways beyond fashion that allows me to bring another perspective in my work. Beyond that, product quality and personnel training have become an integral part of our organization, which enables people's growth. Furthermore, people build organizations. Can you comment on the Pakistani menswear market? Is it an easy one to cater to? I cater to a specific kind of an individual, I look at things through the eyes of my customers, and we have a very collaborative mindset as service providers. So I feel as complicated as the situation gets while catering to an ever changing and an ever-evolving customer base, we at Munib Nawaz are looking forward to providing the best service to our partners in growth. Brands that consider customers as numbers will probably find it more difficult to serve the menswear market in the near future. Where do you see yourself and your brand in five years? Happy. Content. Healthy. Growing. In pursuit of fulfillment. Have you ever envisioned your brand to be making women’s clothes as well? Funny you speak of that. I don't know what the future entails. I am just excited about being on the journey where new things keep happening and now I am open to receiving all that comes my way.

What is fashion to you? To me fashion is a way of life. A language. A code of conduct. An act of self-awareness, and a step towards self-actualization. How would you describe your personal style? As Munib Nawaz, me. In the moment, being me, unapologetically. How do you stay up to date regarding men’s fashion? I stay up to date with all the fashion trends by reading, and following business and creative news from local and international professionals. What would you say are the upcoming fashion trends for men? Men’s lifestyle has evolved dramatically over the years. There are distinct categories of people. They have found their own unique identity and keep growing within them. Fashion trends for grooms in later summer and fall are about better modern tailoring mixed with minimalistic take on traditional craftsmanship of our region. Prints I feel will be back but worn in a worn down, subtle way. Do you have any advice for an upcoming fashion designer? Follow your heart. Use your brain. Keep fighting till you've got what you set out for. And when you get there, take a moment and be grateful. In fact be grateful for every step you are able to take being on your journey. Making a living and living a life are two very different things. 2019

MAKEUP TRENDS This fall 2019 – 2020 it’s all about a pop of color. May it be colored eyeliner, a bright eyeshade or an unusual lip color. Mashaal Malik presents to you the fall makeup trends. Pop of red liner: A pop of red eyeliner with some nude lips is a quick and easy way to add some playfulness to the look. Since the red liner is also the part of the fall beauty trends its definitely high in fashion too! Sunset eyes: All you have to do is take a orange eye shade and apply it all over the lid, giving it a smoky eye effect. This look would look great with some burnt orange lips and dewy skin. Brown smoky eye: A brown smoky eye acts like a eye contour, giving it a bit of definition in a subtle way. The brown all over the lid looks very flattering yet dark. Perfect for the fall season. The morning after liner: This look has been inspired by the 90’s. Grunge eyeliner in the waterline or under it. Let the liner bleed, you don’t have to worry about it. Pair it with a dark orange- red lip. Candy dipped lashes: The colorful mascaras are one of the highlights of the of fall 2019 makeup trends. The neon colorful mascaras are bright and in your face., the way high fashion makeup should sometimes be. Wine lips: The wine lips tend to work well on mostly all skin tones regardless you have foundation on or not. Wine lips make the teeth look marvelously white. 14

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles! Tell us about sites no one should miss out on? Well, Newyork is Food-centric so that's one thing no-one can miss out there. Apart from that we really enjoyed walking around Soho, Manhattan downtown, East village, cycling around town and spending time at the central park. Also, loved watching sunsets at highland and outside Brookfield Mall with a view of NY's skyline. - Being a student of Fashion i loved The Met- so if you're into arts and history then it's the place for you. Generally just walking around NY is always a great idea. Just the feel of the city is amazing.

Florida Apart from great beaches it also has great theme parks. Makes you feel like a teenager again with all the theme park excitement but at the same time you get to relax. Chicago is nice, much cleaner and quieter than NY. Loved cycling around town and shopping there.
