SAAD SHEIKH IS AN NCA GRADUATE WHO SPECIALISES IN FILM MAKING, THEATRE AND DANCE! HE GIVES AMNAZING CONTEMPORARY DANCE CLASSES AT THE COLONY, A VERY ARTISTIC STUDIO LOCATED IN QUEENS ROAD. HE IS AMAZING AT WHAT HE DOES AND WE NEED MORE PASSIONATE PEOPLE LIKE HIM. 26

Who is Saad Sheikh? Saad Sheikh is a just a boy trying to tell stories, trying to make a change in whatever capacity he can whilst maintaining his sanity. Tell us a little about your education? I studied art all my life, for as long as I can remember but after my A-levels, I studied the Martha Graham Dance technique for almost two years before moving to NCA Lahore where I did a four year program in film and TV and simultaneously did a 4 year diploma in performing arts too. After graduation I joined small camps to study musical theatre. First I studied under Rhyn Maclemore and Peter Thorseon (pace university) then in Beirut (NDU) where I worked briefly aswell. Tell us three things we don’t know about you? I am a massive foodie I am a major weeper I have been dancing since I was 4 years old (I think not a a lot of people know that) You’re a Dancer/choreographer Film maker & Musical theatre artist. What inspired you to do what you do? I still like to think my business is to create, to tell a story; doesn’t matter what medium I choose to do so. So I think the absolute joy I get from telling a story made me go for all these mediums. Out of these three things, which one is your favourite? Putting a stone on my heart right now but I would say Film. Telling a story on film is my favourite form. What kind of dance do you specialise in? I specialise in Modern Contemporary but I do happen to be trained in Jazz too. Between you and me I studied Argentine tango aswell but I don’t advertise it. Confidence issues. Hah! If you could have dinner with any influential figure or celebrity who would it be and why? I think the Prime minister. I would like to take charge of the arts on an official level and that dinner will be where I would be convincing them to do so. What is that one song that you can listen to over and over again? Quite a few actually but if I have to choose one. The promise by Tracy Chapman When did you release your passion for dancing? I have been dancing for a very long time, as a child I never realised I would be taking this professionally but it wasn’t before 2011 when I first went for training that I realised there’s definitely a connect of the heart here. I was in love!! What would you say to your younger self if you could? You’re going on the right path, keep at it. What was the best advice you were given? In a very difficult stage of my life a friend told me to *“Get up, shower, go out. It’s your birthday” If you were not an artist, what would be? A flight attendant, for sure. To all those out there reading this what would you like to say to them? Do what your heart says, if you want to flip burgers. Go for it. If you want to make art. Go for it. Just do it with all your heart to create an impact. We need positive impacts in this society, we need you!

Why did you decide to become a Content Creator? I've always had a friendly relationship with the camera and make-up being the love of my life, I learnt how to work with both of them together & this is how it all began. Who has been your biggest inspiration and why? My grand-mother (Dadi Jaan) has always been my inspiration in all walks of life. What Accomplishment are you most proud of? There's so much I'm super grateful for, but when I look at my YouTube Silver button it narrates the story of all my accomplishments altogether.

SHE STARTED FROM ONLY 100 FOLLOWERS AND HAS NOW HIT 133K FOLLOWERS ON INSTAGRAM AND WAS RECENTLY AWARDED A SILVER BUTTON FROM YOUTUBE. A LONG WITH BEING AN INFLUENCER SHE HAS LAUNCHED HER OWN FALSE EYE LASHES. So it has to be that. How do you deal with the negative side of social media? The way we deal with the negativity of everyday life. You need to learn that you can't make everyone happy. You can't be everyone's favorite (just like in real life) once you let this sink in, it's much easier to focus on the positivity

Playing with make-up to create looks, boosting people's morals to accept & love themselves is what I've been doing since the start, I can't imagine life any other way. I'd be doing the same things as I am doing today, perhaps it wouldn't have been on social media. Which Pakistani Influencer do you look up to and why? It's crazy how much talent we have in Pakistan in terms of the Beauty community as well, I'd say I enjoy Maheen Shariq's content a lot. It's always a treat to watch her make-up looks & videos. How do you manage to generate new content every other day? I try finding inspiration from everything around me, it could be a song that I'd be jamming on or the colour of a good-looking dessert, haha. The other few times, it's
experimental. Being a talkative person in general helps in making the videos more fun to watch. It's the feeling you get on a Saturday Brunch with your best friends. What’s your motto or the advice you live by? Beauty comes from within, in all shapes & sizes. You're beautiful. Love yourself. Any tips for aspiring bloggers? Create content that you yourself would love to watch. When you love what you do, it shows. Bring out that passion, don't forget to have fun but most importantly don't forget to be be you. What Kind of work ethics does a Blogger require to remain successful in this field? Firstly. like any other career it's most essential to stay up to date regarding your field of work. Secondly, Stay consistent & always keep learning & improving. Ten years from now you will be… Travelling around the world and taking you all with me to enjoy it all.
