For a sophisticated night out in the town, I switched my flats for pointed heels, added a transparent clutch and a shade of red lipstick. A formal hairdo was the finishing touch.

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? I chose Turkey because its culture and heritage has always been a source if inspiration for me. The Islamic architecture speaks volumes in how beautiful the place is. It is a country rich in Byzantine and Ottoman history. With the live culture and beautiful people it’s a place you have to see to believe. Who did you travel with? Dressed up in MARIA.B‘s signature shirts we took off with our super team Maya Ali, Rizwan Baig from Deeves, Shoiab khan and my talented team with me. We went to Turkey to do 4 major shoots with all of my team together which seemed like a herculean task in its own right to complete. Where did you stay?

We stayed in the beautiful Galata Beyaxit must a few miles away from the iconic Galata Tower. Reaching the destination we had a luscious traditional Turkish breakfast including scrambled eggs, cheese (beyaz peynir, ka ar ),olives dipped in rich sauces, fresh home grown vegetable served with hot, crisp and fluffy bread. Not to forget those heavenly syrups and special tea with awesome aroma to die for. The mere sight was a delight. What are the best shopping spots there? The colourful and chaotic Grand Bazaar is the heart of stanbul's Old City and has been so for centuries. The sheer size of it with streets lined endlessly with all kinds of shops will leave you in awe. I love Turkish culture and have studied it extensively especially for the winter collection we made now so it was pure delight to go to pottery and jwellery shops. To look at

the inspiring architecture. When here, be sure to peep through doorways to discover hidden hans, veer down narrow lanes to watch artisans at work and wander the main thoroughfares to differentiate treasures from tourist tack. It's obligatory to drink lots of tea, compare price after price and try your hand at the art of bargaining.

What can you do over there to relax and unwind? Walk around! Turkey is one of the places where there is something to see at every turn. Get on the road see the beautiful architecture, the wll lined bazaars and street food. Take in the beauty around you and yes have the sweet Turkish bakhlawas! Finally, any tips? Alas! It was our last day and we were already missing Turkey. We packed our bags for sightseeing. Biz tĂźrkiyeyi severiz, oh that means we love Turkey.

Tell us about the sights no one should miss out on While we were all on our toes hunting down the old streets of Istanbul for locations for shoots, we discovered many beautiful places within the city that make it such a big tourist attraction. Hagia Sophia is one of the most beautiful sights in the world built
Suggest places for a perfect night out There is so much Istanbul offers and even a month there cannot do justice to such a historically rich country. We were mesmerized by the beautiful architecture of Sultan ahmed mosque. We can never forget Hagia Sophia, Dolmabache Palace , topkapi palace. The beautiful display of Turkish jewelry, carpets, street food was almost out of a dream. We are surely going there again.

Suggest some amazing restaurants there? Taksim square hosts a number of eateries as a perfect ix for every kind of Turkish cuisine you want to try. That is where we ended up after a tiring day where everyone religiously ordered Turkish cuisine. We loved Borek, a savory pastry that comes in many varieties, most popularly filled with minced meat or spinach and cheese. We went head over heels over lahmacun, a flat and crispy bread traditionally topped with minced meat, salad, and lemon juice. Our favorite was kuzu tandir chicken or lamb served with rice. Another worthwhile mention is the restaurant GUNEY near Galata Tower where the fish served was to die for.
