Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? Dubai. I was the guest of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing. Everyone who loves shopping wants to be in Dubai, but I really wanted to see that if Dubai is the best not just in terms of that but also travelling, family/ friends time and for some adventure. Added benefit is that Dubai is nearest and the most affordable to travel to for Pakistanis.
then Intercontinental Dubai Marina. Raffles is nothing but the luxury at its best. The Egyptian themed mixed with some Asian and then the Emirati hospitality leaves you extremely happy. Intercontinental is contemporary luxury at its best. Located amidst vibrant Dubai Marina, you get the best views from your window and the beach so close! What are the best shopping spots there? Malls ofcourse and well you find everything under Dubai Mall. If you feel the place is too huge for you to handle, go for Mall of the Emirates and if you don’t like many people around, Dubai Marina Mall is the answer. Oh and its the Dubai Shopping Festival right now, time to find the best deals.
Who did you travel with? Erum, Hamna, Yasmeen and Amna along with the friends from Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Oman etc Where did you stay? It was a fancier than the fancy trip. I stayed first at Raffles and

My favorite was The Artistan by Enoteca Pinchiorri at Dubai International Financial Centre. This Italian restaurant serves the most delicious food combined with elegant interior. In the Bollywood park is the Victoria Station Café. Insanely mouthwatering Indian flavors will make you eat like there is no tomorrow. P.S. You find all the most popular fast food chains you wish to munch in Pakistan.

Finally, any tips? Have to shop but on a tight budget: Go Aldo, Zara, Fashion Forever, Massimo Dutti, H&M , New look! Always keep a sun protection lotion. It’s a necessity in Dubai. Wake up early as morning sun is the best. Take a trolley and keep you hand carry luggage on it when exploring the Duty Free shops at the airport and please keep an eye on your watch. You don’t want to miss your flight. If you are ready to spend extra bucks, experience Business Class of Emirates. You’ll reach there happy and you’ll come back happy. And make sure that you are collecting all the skywards miles.

Suggest places for a perfect night out For some clubbing it is INDIE at the DIFC. DJ mixing the current hits and tracks from 80’s and 90’s. Its and entertainment at its best. For a piece of mind it is the boat ride on the newly built Dubai Canal. It’s just so beautiful and Dubai looks magical in it. For a fancy dinner with your love, just go to Thiptara. A Thai
What can you do over there to relax and unwind? Dubai has the beach and the best of all is the JBR. JBR has the family friendly beaches with white sands and blue water. Hotels come with the spas with trained staff from all over the world. Also go for Hot Air Ballooning. Its adventurous yet an experience that gives you a piece of mind.

Tell us about the sights no one should miss out on The Dubai Resorts and Parks is a direct competition to Disney Land. What a magical place. Of many parks there is one called Bollywood Park. Probably a better experience of Bollywood than even the real Bollywood itself. With Sholay, Dabang playing on the streets of the park and performance on the roof of Victoria Station Café on Chayya, it is difficult to not dance and go crazy.
