It is more than a structure; it’s the place where partnerships are built, quiet moments are shared, and lifelong memories are made. At American Stalls, we believe your barn should reflect beauty and purpose.
Whether you are starting from scratch or refining an existing space, our team is here to help you bring your vision to life. From elegant finishes to thoughtful design details, we work alongside you to create a barn that feels uniquely yours, the perfect setting for you and your horses to thrive.
About Us
American Stalls was founded in 2006 when we won an RFP to build 1,500 horse stalls for a prestigious horse show venue in Saugerties, NY.
Ever since, we have worked on thousands of barns across North America. We've worked on projects including everything from a six-stall private barn to large Olympic-training barns. For 18 years, we have been a leading manufacturer for luxury horse stalls and stabling equipment.
Horse stalls, barn doors, and equine flooring are large investments toward your horses’ safety and your farm. This is why we custom build products that fit your lifestyle, design needs, and that stands the test of time. Our products are designed for horse people by horse people.
Horse stalls are deceptively simple. They require an expert understanding of steel fabrication, equine know-how, materials engineering, and the know how of a horse barn.
We share our expertise by building world class barn products that will impress your friends, family, and clients. Most importantly, American Stalls products will serve their primary function – to safely house your horses for years to come.
Horses & Behavior
• What is the average size and personality of your horses?
• Will you be housing stallions, foals, or horses with stronger personalities?
• How often will new horses or human visitors be entering your barn?
Barn Structure
• How wide should your aisles be to allow safe movement and storage?
• What safety measures (such as fire planning) will you have in place?
• What flooring base best suits your barn—concrete, mats, or rubber pavers?
Planning Your Dream Barn
When designing your barn, every detail matters, for both your horses’ well-being and your daily routine. Here are key questions to guide your planning:
Stall Fronts & Doors
• Which matters most: ventilation, visibility, elegance, safety, or ease of cleaning?
• Do you prefer sliding stall fronts or European-style hinged fronts?
• Would you like yoke openings for horses to socialize, and should they be closeable?
Design Details
• What style inspires you—traditional, modern farmhouse, or contemporary?
• Which finishes and colors best match your vision?
• Where will you place essential spaces such as tack rooms, wash stalls, and grooming areas?
Daily Function
• Do you want halters, blankets, and gear stored at each stall front?
• How should your barn flow to make daily chores easier and safer?

Stall Front Systems
CUSTOM BUILT TO ORDER
We understand that each barn, horse, and rider is unique. That is why we custom-build our Stall Front Systems.
We work with our clients to customize everything in a stall front, from finishes to feed options to designs. This ensures that each stall front works in perfect harmony with your horses.
Each stall uses our high-quality steel, which we prime, and powder coat for a smooth finish. Lastly, we offer hand-selected wood in a variety of species, including southern yellow pine, tigerwood, and HDPE.
Our choice of material ensures your horse stalls are elegant, durable, and stand the test of time.

Sliding Stall Fronts
Our sliding stall fronts are an excellent choice for all barns. Sliding doors save space in your aisle since the door slides rather than swings outward. This space-saving feature makes sliding doors perfect for busier facilities and tight aisles.
Our sliding stall fronts can be dressed up with brass accents, arches, and yokes. They can also be simple and functional with many feed and water options. Our sliding stall fronts are custom-built to look, feel, and operate to your needs.
