After a little bit of a wet start to the season, it’s been a joy to see our players on court doing what they love. Whether you're new or returning, thank you for being part of our amazing community.
Phoenix is more than a club, it’s where young athletes grow, friendships form, and sport brings people together. With over 400 members across 33 teams, we’re proud to be one of North Queensland’s largest and most inclusive clubs.
This year, we remain focused on developing confident players, building pathways for growth, and fostering a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and respect. From BBQs to regional carnivals, we’re proud to represent Townsville with heart.
A big thank you to our committee, coaches, umpires, and supporters. Your time, energy and encouragement keep us going. And to those who help and volunteer day in and day out, each week, your efforts make a real difference.

Charlotte Clive: From Phoenix Junior to Premier League Powerhouse
Charlotte Clive is the kind of player every club dreams of.
A proud Phoenix junior, Charlotte has risen through the ranks to become a standout in our Premier League team, and she’s just getting started.
Equally at home in defence or attack, Charlotte brings versatility, composure and strength to every game. Whether she's controlling the tempo through the centre court or shutting down play as a fierce GD, she’s a force to be reckoned with.
Her talent has earned her representative honours as a North Queensland Schoolgirls player and selection in the 2025 North Queensland United Opens Ruby North team. These achievements are a testament to her skill, work ethic and talent
What truly sets Charlotte apart is the way she carries herself off the court. She’s a role model to our younger players – always encouraging, humble and team-first.

Family, Freckles and Fierce Defence: A Phoenix Duo with Heart
For Renee and McKayla, netball is more than just a game, it’s something they share.
This mother- daughter duo is proudly flying the Phoenix flag, with Renee vice- captain, a key player in our Division 1 team (currently top of the ladder) and an active member of the club committee. Meanwhile, McKayla is making her own mark as part of our Freckles junior team.
McKayla’s love for the sport was sparked by watching her mum take the court. “She always loved being around the team and watching games,” Renee says. “Now she’s the one out there in the bib, chasing down every ball.” Renee continues to bring her A-game on court and still finds time to give back off it, helping guide the club’s growth and culture behind the scenes.
Both bring passion, pride, and a whole lot of heart to Phoenix. And for this tight-knit team of two, netball is about more than goals, it’s about connection, confidence, and a club they’re proud to call home.
State Age Pride: Phoenix Shines on the Big Stage
We couldn’t be prouder of our Phoenix players, coaches, and umpires who proudly represented Townsville at the 2025 State Age Championships!
Selection at this level is no small feat, it takes dedication, countless hours of training, and an unshakable love for the game. Our Phoenix crew stood tall, showcasing not just talent, but true club spirit.
To our athletes: You gave it everything and it showed.
To our coaches: Your leadership guided each step of the journey. To our umpires: Thank you for upholding the game with professionalism and poise. You’ve made both Townsville and Phoenix proud.
Building Strength,
Speed and Confidence - HPT High Performance Program
Our senior squad wrapped up an intensive eight-week High Performance Program delivered by the team at HPT Townsville and the results are showing.
Designed to push our athletes beyond the court, the program focused on building speed, strength, endurance, agility, and team cohesion. From dynamic conditioning drills to strengthbased sessions and mindset training, each week brought new challenges, and our players rose to meet them.
Thanks to the expert coaching and support from HPT, our athletes are stepping into the season with renewed confidence, resilience, and a competitive edge. A huge thank you to HPT Townsville for partnering with Phoenix to develop strong, capable players ready to take their game to the next level.
