MY HISTORY OF YOUTUBE
• Garnering over 30k thousand subscribers back when I was 14.I have multiple different accounts, but the main one I deleted years ago. Eventually not having time to make videos as I was starting Highschool. Finding it again back a couple years in my early 20s trying to figure out what I enjoy in my personal time. Now today where shorts run every app/social media site I mainly post short quick clips to gain 1k-2k views in 1-2 days time.
• I do this as a hobby for now as this makes no money unless views, subscribers and watch time become much bigger than it is now.
Why
You Should Treat Your YouTube Channel Like A Business
WHETHER YOU HAVE A CHANNEL FOCUSED ON REVIEWING CHILDREN'S TOYS OR GIVING BAKING TUTORIALS AND REGARDLESS OF THE THEME, YOU SHOULD TREAT YOUR YOUTUBE CAREER LIKE A BUSINESS. AS A YOUTUBER, YOU MAY CONSIDER YOURSELF MORE OF THE CREATIVE TYPE, BUT IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO BE DISCIPLINED IN ESTABLISHING A BUSINESS AND TAX STRATEGY FOR YOUR YOUTUBE BUSINESS. AFTER ALL, ONE OF THE BEST PARTS ABOUT BEING A YOUTUBER IS THAT YOU ARE WORKING FOR YOURSELF AS A CONTRACTOR, NOT A W-2 EMPLOYEE. (DENNIS, 2021)
Here some Stats from my current Channel:
66,000 Total Views over the last year, uploading once or twice every 3 weeks-ish.
172.2 Hours of Watch over the last year.
90.8% of people find my Shorts through the Shorts Feed.
