Quins Programme 18th April 2026

presidents welcome

As President of Oxford Quins, it gives me great pleasure to reflect on what has been another important season for the club.

While there have been challenges along the way, there has also been huge progress across Oxford Quins, both on and off the pitch The club is now in a far stronger financial position and there is a real sense of momentum as we continue to build for the future

The fighting spirit shown across all of our teams has been hugely encouraging. Despite increasing pressure after early season wins against London Welsh and Henley, the unity, resilience and determination shown throughout the club has highlighted the potential within our playing group

Competing at our highest levels against semiprofessional opposition, we have seen established players, younger talent and new recruits continue to develop under strong coaching and leadership They have shown the Quins values we hold so dear

There has also been much to celebrate across the club. Our U15s became County Cup Plate winners, our U14 boys lifted the County Plate and our U13s were crowned Oxfordshire County Cup Champions It has also been fantastic to hear about the role Quins players played in the successful Easter tours to Paris

Off the field, we have continued to invest in Horspath We recently took delivery of 420 trees from the Woodland Trust to create new shaded areas and improve the natural walkway around the club. Alongside this, work continues on drainage and ditching to help tackle flooding challenges

chairs welcome

As we approach the final game of the season on Saturday 18 April, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone connected with Oxford Quins for their support throughout what has been a challenging but important season for the club.

While results have not always gone our way, I have admired the spirit, resilience and commitment shown by our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters. We have remained focused on finishing the season strongly whilst also planning positively for next year.

This year has been about fixing the foundations of the club, both on and off the pitch. We are now in a far better financial position and are building from a much stronger base for the future.

As one season comes to a close, there is plenty to look forward to. Please do keep the date free for our fantastic 7s event on 16th May, which promises to be a brilliant day for the whole club.

We are also continuing to look for new sponsorship opportunities ahead of next season Whether through major partnerships or smaller contributions, additional support from businesses and individuals plays a vital role in helping the club continue to grow both on and off the pitch. If you, your business, or someone you know may be interested in getting involved, we would be delighted to start that conversation.

We are delighted to welcome Sevenoaks for the Men’s 1st XV’s final home match of the season, and we also look forward to hosting our final club lunch of the year. Welcome also to Nathan, who has taken over as our new Clubhouse Manager Nathan comes to us with a wealth of commercial and hospitality experience, and we are delighted to have him on board as part of the team.

Thank you once again for your continued support Together, we will emerge stronger
