We played some challenging teams to start season, but that only made us stronger in conference play. Incredibly proud of this young group of women and how hard we fought to be the best team we could be.

IN SEASON FUN
PRESEASON WATER WARS
To star the year off, OWUFH tried something new! We created a preseason water wars with Women’s Soccer and Volleyball to help acclimate to campus easier! We had a whole rule book and Instagram page dedicated to this! It was some serious business!
The water wars ran for the first 5 days of preseason and ended the day before classes started. Unfortunately, OWUFH was the runner up for this event, with Volleyball winning the crown! We look forward to continuing this tradition next year, with a different outcome!
This fall, our team had the opportunity to work with the Delaware Dream Center for the first time. We helped support their Adopt-A-Block program. As part of this program, we worked together with staff and frequent volunteers to deliver essential groceries and hygiene items that were put together earlier in the day during a separate programming event. Once everything was prepared, we delivered these items directly to families and elderly individuals in the community who are in need. The Delaware Dream Center has a big focus on providing consistent programming and building strong, personal relationships with the people they serve. Sharing hope is their mission and we were so lucky and grateful to be apart of this.
TWIN DAY / DYNAMIC DUOS
HOCKEY TENNIS & MINI GOLF
Mini Golf was a super fun practice, something we plan to continue doing! We used the whole stadium and the equipment to create the course.
There were nine holes that the girls had to get through. Whoever had the lowest score value won the Mini Golf Tournament!
This year, the Emma’s swept the leaderboard! Emma Morgeson and Emma Wright took home a share of the trophy, while Emma Mohns and Emma Reynolds were a close 2nd and 3rd!
Two fun practice we held were a Mini Golf course and a Hockey Tennis tournament!
For Hockey Tennis, we had a bracket where teams competed to 11, winner needs to win by 2. Similar to regular tennis, the ball could not hit the ground more than once.
It was a competitive event, but in the end, Senior Avery Slucher and Junior Grace Ammon were crowned the winners afer a dominant performance in the finals!
Candy prizes were given to the winners!
HALLOWEEN PRACTICE
Every year OWUFH has a Halloween practice. Check out some of the fun costumes they came up with this year !
MORGANS MESSAGE
This year our team dedicated a game to Morgans Message. Morgan’s Message is a foundation that strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. They aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.
We took to the stadium to sell raffle tickets and promote a great foundation! We look forward to supporting Morgans Massage for years to come!
