On Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility
Sustainability has always been one of our key commitments. For our wooden products we insist on using sustainably sourced materials such as FSC-certified North American Black Walnut, White Oak, Ash and local Chinese Bamboo. We also reuse and repurpose materials through creative design. For example, our Chef's Toy D Series— Mineral Mixture is made from recycled daily-use ceramics and construction ceramics. These discarded ceramics are collected reprocessed and transformed into new materials before being redesigned and reproduced. Each transformation— from waste to new life— reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and serves as a witness to our values.
By 2024 , this series alone has recycled around 10 , 000 kilograms of ceramic waste , serving more than 500 hotels worldwide, including renowned properties such as Rissai Valley A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi Mandarin Oriental Singapore Four Seasons Guangzhou, and Four Seasons Dalian. We view safety from two perspectives:
Food Safety:
All ME products are required to pass stringent TUV Germany food safety certification and NKKK Japan testing. For us, food-grade safety is always the first standard for any tabletop item — beauty alone is not enough.
For our wooden products, we avoid conventional chemical paint coatings. Instead we use Osmo— a century-old German natural wood wax oil brand — as our surface finish. Made entirely from natural and eco-friendly ingredients Osmo ensures the highest level of food safety while providing a warm natural texture that paint-based finishes cannot
Operational Safety:
We have developed a wide range of polycarbonate products as replacements for glassware across ME's collections. Unlike regular plastic , polycarbonate has excellent transparency , resembling lead-free crystal glass and offers high durability, and dishwasher safety. These products minimize breakage risks ensuring better guest experiences and significantly reducing F&B operational costs.
According to client feedback, ME's polycarbonate products have proven particularly effective in new hotel openings and large-scale events dramatically reducing breakage rates and achieving ideal cost efficiency.
On Design Philosophy — Building Block Design

Boutique breakfast and in-room amenities are two major directions for ME's future development. We will continue to design refined, boutique-level solutions for hotels. The design inspiration for the Bamboo Series comes from the natural form of bamboo and is deeply rooted in Chinese traditional culture.
In Chinese tradition, the "Four Gentlemen" (梅兰竹菊) — plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum — are highly regarded as symbols, representing the highest ideals of character and life pursuit by Chinese literati. Among them, bamboo symbolizes resilience, elegance, and purity. It represents the strong and unyielding spirit of life, as well as the noble virtues. The symbolic meanings of bamboo include:
1.Bamboo remains green throughout the four seasons, symbolizing tenacity, eternal youth, and vitality.
2.The hollow center of bamboo represents humility and an open-minded character. The hollow in the bamboo symbolizes space to accommodate more wisdom and ideas, representing humility and an openminded character.
3.Bamboo branches are flexible and not easily broken, symbolizing the principle of strength through gentleness.
4.Bamboo grows with joints, symbolizing integrity and uprightness, representing noble character and steadfast morals.
5.The tall and graceful shape of bamboo represents uprightness, purity, and elegance. With sustainability as the top priority, the Bamboo series is made of FSC-certified walnut wood. Different bamboo joint shapes are carved using woodcarving techniques. The surface is sealed with German Osmo wood wax oil, and then hand-sanded and polished multiple times, giving the walnut wood a smooth, luxurious texture.
Drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of its form and refining the details through structural design, the Bamboo Series features various shapes, sizes, and heights. It incorporates the concept of "stacking," allowing for flexible adjustments in height, capacity, and space. The Bamboo Series can be applied in a range of F&B settings, such as lobby bars, room amenities, and themed buffet events, providing a unique visual aesthetic and perfectly meeting the personalized needs of F&B offerings. 创始人&产品高级顾问
According to the feedbacks continuously collected from our customers towards tableware and the current fashion trend of catering industry, we put ourselves in the mindset of users to conceive, visualize, design, develop and produce the product series of Chef's Toys. Based on Building Block Design, this series integrates more product resources to design and develop product lines A, B, C, D, E, F, X of Chef's Toys. Each of them with diverse materials has different styles and could adapt to various decoration styles easily. Developing and designing the series of Chef's toys on the basis of Building Block Design makes it embrace the feature of flexible variability. Therefore, after getting used to the Chef's Toys, you would find the secular influence with our products towards your work and operation performance, which is great value for money.
1. Flexible collocation of different parts in product series would bring you more fun and convenience when at work. It is appropriate to use them both in banquet and dainty food in ADD restaurants.

Chef 's Toy A 2026
The design inspiration for the new Chef's Toy A Series comes from the concept of pegboards and grid panels. It is equipped with two types of Moving Sticks that can be flexibly fixed at different positions on the pegboard. One is designed for donuts, while the other is suitable for pairing with different boards. The grid panel can be used to display snacks by hanging them with clips.
There are also two sizes of Cooling Stands, each equipped with a reusable ice plate inside to keep items cold during use. The top of the Cooling Stand features a stainless steel shallow plate with drainage holes, allowing condensation and juice to flow into the bottom stainless steel tray, keeping the fruits and drinks on top dry.
Considering the operational needs of F&B, the pegboard and grid panel are designed with a detachable structure. The top and bottom of the Cooling Stand feature concave and convex grooves, allowing the stands to stack easily. The overall design of the new Chef's Toy A Series focuses on easy storage and portability.
In addition, each product comes with a detachable blackboard, making it easy to write down different themes or names of dishes for each dining event.
Now that you've heard all of this, I'm sure you must feel inspired. The new Chef's Toy A Series is originally based on the setting of Cocktail Parties & Coffee Breaks. The pegboard and grid panel are designed to bring a more relaxed atmosphere during these moments, creating unique visual effects for the presentation of various snacks and enhancing the overall experience. This design perfectly addresses practical issues in F&B operations. Its modular and space-saving design makes it easy to set up a Cocktail Party & Coffee Break in any area of the hotel, or even for events like car shows outside hotels or large corporate internal dining activities.

Considering the discontinuation of some products in Chef's Toy A series, we have reunited Chef's Toy A and Chef 's Toy B into a brand new series ------Chef's Toy B Plus. We believe that a more extensive and functional product line will be able to serve to the needs of F&B operations better. We also came up with a new cover design for this series, which is the Fold TOP COVER 1/1, and it will be capable of providing better appearance and safety for the food presentation.
The design of the new chef toy B series is inspired by the way of large supermarkets to set up new products and promote new products.
We found many display & decorations of new products for promotion in supermarkets is eyecatching, can always stop the feet of people easily to know the content of the new products. It inspired us that if we bring this kind of display & decoration method to food demonstration, which should be able to better show the food for customers, so we sum up the experience of supermarket, using a modular design concept, everything begins with design of the simple and intuitive, to upgrade Chef Toy B.
More than simple and the key base on everything is how to star from the angle of humanbeing's vision, how to clever use simple design style and high-quality product union rise. We redesign the Tray stand, considering the high demand for the decoration, making the two different specifications of the layer 2 frame, to make Chef Toy A series of four different specifications of the Tray, can be in the Tray stand and two Shelf above collocation gives different combinations, each kind of Tray has the corresponding Riser, it can put the Tray into the Box, solve the volume and capacity of the different season, different food. In addition, we add the function of ice bags to the Tray, which can solve the problem of food preservation at low temperature.
Considering the different design style in different hotel and restaurant , how to make Chef's Toy B product better to match the different style, which is a deeper design with four different specifications of the pallet and four different specifications of the Riser made of three different wood, with different surface treatment, to show the different color and texture. In addition, our Tray stands and two shelves are made of stainless steel 18/8. We hope that the new series Chef Toys B will inspire you a wellspring of fresh ideas of color assortment for your hotel and restaurant.
This brand new display solution is a combination of slanted tray stand 1/1 and 1/2 with corresponding size of the boards; the flat display allows the food presentation to be seen at a glance.

According to the investigation and feedback of customer. During the outdoors' parties and F&B banquet, especially the feast of the sea, the card could be blown away by the wind frequently before the start of party. As a result, we design a new card, which is composed of two small seams made by walnut and oak. The small seam can be directly plugged into pieces of paper, while the big seam can make transparent acrylic powder live card. If you are using inside the restaurant, you can just use card in small seam directly, while the big seam is better choice for the outdoor banquet, which can be fixed in the seam firmly. The Chef 's Toy D Series introduces new products with designs inspired by the texture of tree leaves. The overall color of the products is matte white, and whether combined with walnut wood, white oak, or black wood the visual effect is natural, elegant minimalist. This continues to extend the natural and graceful style emphasized in the Chef's Toy D Series.
The new product range continues to use a Building Block Design concept materials such as wood , glass and ice packs. The different combinations achieve various functions, allowing for multi-purpose use of the product allowing for multipurpose use of the products.

The Chef 's Toy D series was designed and launched in 2018. The materials for this product series are recycled from discarded daily-use ceramics and Architectural ceramics which are reprocessed and redesigned. The Chef 's toy F series is an upgraded design based on elements of the Chef 's Toy E series. While the Chef 's Toy E leans toward flat displays the Chef 's Toy F emphasizes spatial displays. By adding vertical rods to the stacking base it achieves varying heights and creates an interwoven threedimensional effect. The evenly spaced rods create subtle light and shadow effects. The overall form resembles a jellyfish. The top stacking base and rods are made of white oak and walnut contrast of light and dark tones to enhance the visual layering.
The Chef 's Toy F continues the modular design concept allowing it to be combined with products made of different materials to serve various functions and deliver diverse aesthetic experiences. (Tip: The Chef 's Toy F series can also be flipped over to serve as a baguette or fruit basket a versatile choice. )

For the vertical round rods underneath the buffet rack the circle they form is relatively small in diameter. When the buffet rack is flipped for use, it is recommended to opt for bowls of a smaller size. This helps better showcase the overall proportions. For example, if the standard setup uses a bowl with a diameter of Ø37cm, it is suggested to use a 33cm bowl when flipped, and so on.
Chef toy X series is based on Building Block Design, redesigned a combination-series for the tableware products. It can be understood as a condensed and a new interpretation of our concept of on Building Block Design over the years.
We advocate "one thing multi-purpose", under the premise of tray as the base plate, designed a number of different shapes, different specifications of ceramic ware, glass products, natural stone and wood products. They have a subtle relationship with each other, and can be flexibly interactive in the base plate to make different collocation and present different functions. Its functionality can cover the Serving Dishes, Sharing Platters, Bento Boxes, Bread Baskets, and in-room Amenity Dishes.
How to help clients create a safer and more hygienic dining environment for their customers is a problem we need to solve in our design work. Therefore, we specially designed transparent cover to cover the tray, prevent the food in the tray from contacting with the outside, and try our best to ensure that the food can be delivered to customers in a safe and hygienic way.

We selected the choice gesture from a host of Buddha's hands, extracting the minimalist lines incorporating these unique lines to the design of product structure delineating a distinct beauty visual. We have designed buffet displays Shelf of different sizes and heights from these lines. Considering the variety decoration styles of restaurants require different color schemes we use two different colors of wood, white oak and walnut, light color products.
we had invited the experienced artisans using the ancient Chinese crockery making-craft creating various hand-made specifications of bowls and dishes without any help of mold—by handmade purely to match with the buffet incorporating the artistic of Buddha's hand.
The bowls and plates are made of clay and calcined through high temperature. The clay contains metal material which may cause some natural brown spots on the surface of glaze after the high temperature calcine.
But we don't think these spots will affect the aesthetics and natural texture of the product since they are what they are: primitive simplicity and unique.

The maintenance details for the daily use of wood products are as follows:
1. Wood products should not be washed in dishwasher microwave oven or roaster oven. Do not leave wood products in water to avoid changing their appearance.
2. Avoid dampness and keep dry. Since the surface of wood products is sealed with food-grade wood wax or water-borne paint use dry cotton to wipe after cleaning and try to placed in a ventilated place to keep the surface dry;
3. The heat resistance of wood products is poor stay away from heat while using do not put it in a place where there is sunlight or near the stove which will easy to make the wood become dehiscent and out of shape for a long time near the heat.
4. Wood products should not be put into the refrigerator with food as the freezer is very dry in the container for a long time will be difficult to clean;
5. Avoid being scratched by hard objects.
6. Wood products apply olive oil and other edible oil on the surface of the products every once in a while to make the boards more durable and keep them in perfect condition.
