OVLC Welcomes our new executive director! Greg Gamble will join the OVLC staff on May 5th.
The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Gamble as Executive Director. Greg is a highly qualified individual who joins the OVLC from the Desert Foothills Land Trust of Cave Creek, Arizona where he was Executive Director. For ten years prior to that he held several positions with The Nature Conservancy in Colorado, San Francisco, and in Phoenix. Greg holds an undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering from Stanford, an M.S. in natural resource management from Colorado State, and
a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He has also traveled widely both in the U.S. and abroad. Greg is excited about relocating with his family to the Ojai Valley in early May. “My wife, Darcy, and I look forward to raising our 2 year old daughter, Scarlett, and 5 month old son, Gates, in such a wonderful community,” said Gamble. The staff and board of directors look forward to his arrival, having spent four months to find the right individual for the organization and for the community. Roger Essick, OVLC Board President, stated, “Greg is a very talented and able individual who will bring strong leadership to the OVLC as we seek to move our organization to a new level. We are delighted to welcome him and his family to Ojai
and feel confident that he will make a major contribution to OVLC and to the community.” When asked about joining the OVLC, Greg stated, “ I have a great deal of respect for this organization and what it has accomplished. I am humbled and excited to be working with the talented and dedicated staff and Directors of the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. I look forward to working with the community to build on the Conservancy’s past success and protect much more of this special place.”
NEW WEBSITE TO LAUNCH SOON!
We are excited to be rolling out a new website SOON. The site, to be launched in late May will help save resources and
offer a better way to READ GREEN! We’ll have blogs on our projects, preserves and community issues so that we can hear from you. Look for monthly e-news, invites for hikes, events, Wild About Ojai programs, volunteer days and more. PLUS, we’ll be holding our first fundraiser on the new site, a raffle for a SMART car. Imagine the gas you’ll save and the fun you’ll have driving this little car around town! Not your style? Then choose to win $5,000 in cash instead! Raffle tickets will be available on our new website just as soon as it launches.
