Welcome to Vitalia Andrea! As many of you may already know, I have been promoted to South Florida Regional Manager and we’ve found a wonderful manager that will take over my position.

Andrea comes to Evergreen with 14 years of experience in residential property management. At her last position she served multiple roles including training and mentoring of new team members for the northwest and southern California regions, lease–ups, renovations and value add properties. She was also a part of the acquisition team for the past two years. In 2015 one of her southern California properties was awarded “Property of the Year 250 + Units” by the San Diego Apartment Association. Her history of success is widespread with other multifamily property management firms as well, including MG Properties Group and Guardian Management Real Estate. Andrea attended college at Mesa Community College in Arizona and she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at NAU in 2015. I believe Andrea is an excellent addition to the Evergreen Lifestyles Management team and Vitalia family. Please help me in welcoming Andrea Bull to Vitalia at Tradition as your new Community Manager! Vitalia’s New Wellness Committee

One of the many benefits of living in Vitalia are the amenities to promote an “active lifestyle.” This includes clubs offering different activities, varying from physical fitness such as organized classes, tennis, pickleball, swimming, a professionally maintained putting green to walking, running and cycling in our beautiful neighborhood. In continuing with an “active lifestyle” philosophy, we have formed a Wellness Committee that meets the third Wednesday of the month at 2pm. The goal is to promote activities targeting nutrition, physical fitness, and mental well-being. In the works is a Volunteer Fair on July 18th from 2pm-4pm, and a taste of fitness that will take place in August. Bring your ideas to our next meeting Wednesday, June 21st at 2pm. You may also email me with any suggestions. The committee and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

The Vitalia Advisory Committee (VAC) Submitted by Rick Dixon, Chair With many new residents moving into the community so quickly, we often receive questions about the committee and we’d like to answer some of them below.

“What is the VAC and How Was is Formed?” The VAC is the Vitalia Advisory Committee and it was formed several years ago by the association’s management company in conjunction with our developer to represent all residents with regard to questions, concerns, community problems, and requests.

The VAC solicits requests and concerns of residents and brings them to the attention of our HOA and the developer.

“How Can I Become a Member?” Anyone wishing to join should reply to the community manager’s annual request for volunteers and submit an application and short bio for consideration. More details will be forth coming. The VAC will be critical as we approach turn-over from our developer.

“What Does It Do?” All VAC members serve at the pleasure of the community manager. Although the committee was very small at the beginning, it has grown to include committees representing event planning, buildings and grounds, landscape, and finance. 4 Vitalia Voice | June 2017

The VAC meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at 10am in the Grand Treasure Ballroom. All residents are welcome to attend meetings. Also, minutes from every meeting are posted on the Vitalia website at VitaliaAt TraditionHOA.com.

Bitter over his missed opportunity, Troy creates further tension in his family when he squashes his son’s chance to meet a college football recruiter.

The staff at the front desk will help assign you to a table. Residents only please. Bring your favorite beverage. Note: Residents will be required to select a date (6/9 OR 6/17) to attend Trivia. After one week of ticket sales, IF tickets are still available for Trivia on either evening, they will be open for purchase to all.

30 minutes of abdominal exercise combined with 20 minutes of a different target area each week (i.e.: arms, legs, back). You know you need to exercise your belly, but usually avoid it. So come join this class and check it off of your “to do list.” Core abdominal strength is essential for balance, strength, posture, coordination, and directly supports lower back strength. Participants must be able to get up and down from the floor for this class.

Line dance is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows, all facing either each other or in the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time.

Chair exercises effectively assist individuals to exercise and move without putting undo pressure or strain on their bodies. This class builds endurance and develops coordination and balance. A variety of equipment may be used such as bands, balls and other equipment.

Step & Tone Wednesdays | 8am

This is a form of aerobic power distinguished from other types of aerobic exercise by its use of an elevated platform (the step). It helps burn calories, reduce stress, promote restful sleep, and strengthen muscles. Incorporating both upper and lower body movements together will improve your coordination and agility, and the constant push up onto the step will increase leg strength.

Arts & Crafts Classes Serti Silk Painting June 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th (four class session) 9am-11am | Biscayne Room | $25

Since this has been such a popular class, Debbie is continuing to offer it in June so many more residents have the opportunity to enjoy this fantastic art form! The Serti technique is an easy way of painting on silk fabric. It’s actually a dye so it doesn’t alter the texture of the fabric; you will still feel the lovely softness of the silk. When it’s finished you can use it as a scarf, mount it to a canvas to use as wall art, have it made into a beautiful pillow, etc. There are so many ways to use this fabulous art form! Genealogy Club No Meetings in June, July or August

The club’s focus is on the study of families and the tracing of lineages and history utilizing historical records, oral information, genetic analysis, computer based tools and software. We assist each other and those new to Genealogy on how to begin their search. Come join us in carving out a place for one’s family in the larger historical picture. The Investment Club at Vitalia is a peer-to-peer discussion forum for residents who invest, or are interested in investing, in the stock market. We now have a Sports Bulletin Board located behind the tennis shed between the two outside bathrooms. The weekly schedules (Sunday through Saturday) will be posted. Once the weekly schedule is posted, any resident can reserve a court for singles or doubles play with or without guests. Also posted on the bulletin board are the Tennis Courts Rules and Regulations which give guidance about court usage.
